Without Johnny Depp, this movie would have been a major failure. The story was not told in a way that captured your attention, however Johnny Depp kept your eyes glued to the screen.

Not a bad film, Depp does a good Whitey Bulger, but I wouldn't rate the film above either The Departed or Scarface. Held my attention and I would recommend it, if gangsters are your thing

Johnny Depp is one of the best actors out there. Each and every role he plays shows his range as a performer. Delivers quite a punch. Very entertaining without getting too gory. Check it out.

First time I saw this, I enjoyed but I knew so much of the Bulger story, I just wanted a little more of the years on the run but after watching it again, I couldn't get enough of it.

Solid mob movie, Johnny Depp does a great job. Always like mob movies that include gangs of non Italian stock, shows different perspectives about organized crime.

Great acting throughout but the story was kind of bland. There are some good special features. Yet another movie that could and should be on 4K Blu Ray but for some reason isn't.

This one is dark and more representative of Depp's acting talents. It's got some dark themes in it and gets a little complicated at times, but it is one of his best movies.

A very good film. Great tension building!! It's a joy to see as the movie progresses how deeper and deeper in a hole the characters become. The good guys create the ultimate bad guy.

The capture of James "Whitey" Bulger after many years on the run makes this movie even more relevant. A gripping story of his days as a Boston mobster and well worth watching.

Great story with plenty of mob violence!!! If you are into it, worth it. I like the "based on true events" stories anyways. Johnny did a good job as well as his supporting cast.
