Customers enjoy the gameplay and responsive controls of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, finding the story mode engaging and the price reasonable, especially when purchased on sale. Some players, however, wish the initial character roster was larger. The game's visuals also receive positive feedback.

A great fighter with some disappointing DLC issues

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is an excellent fighter with a 'simple to play, hard to master' approach to gameplay, an intuitive lobby, a lengthy and fanservice heavy story mode, and a diverse roster of fighters. My main issue with the game is less with the game itself. The base game features 20 fighters, which is a bit on the small side for a tag fighter pulling from 4 franchises. The plus and negative to this is that another 20 are available in a $20 DLC pack. To make things worse, you can fight those characters in story mode and online, but you can't play as them. So they're less 'additional' and more 'gated'. I got this game with GCU on sale for $28 so it was more than worth it to buy it and the DLC, but it's not a very consumer friendly practice. It's an excellent game though, and probably the best 2D fighter on the system right now. More paid characters are promised and at least after you get over the hump of paying for the initial extra 20 that should've been in the base game, a buck per future character is very reasonable.

I was surprised that it was really great and fun fighting game. Problem is that there aren't that many characters from the franchises showcased. Most look to be downloadable content which means that this 50 dollar game can cost more if you are looking to have the full experience.

When looking for fighters, there are some who look for a game that's more accessible and easy to get into for people who are newer to the genre. Then there are people that are looking for the most hardcore experience as possible. This game is made for those interested in a hardcore fighting experience and it delivers in every way. This is the cream of the crop when it comes to 2D fighters and is a must have experience for core gamers.

I love RWBY, so I am partially biased towards this game. Never played a BlazBlue game, always wanted to but I'm not that into fighter games, so I always passed up the opportunity. Then Cross Tag Battle is announced, and THE RWBY FIGHTING GAME I HAD ALWAYS DREAMED OF WAS (partially) REALIZED! But even playing with the non-RWBY characters is really good fun. I am already familiar with Persona, having P4 Golden on my Vita and Persona 5. I want to play Undernight In-Birth because the characters seem really interesting and were fun to play with. I love this game, and hope it will be given a chance by other players who don't normally play fighters.

Been a fan of Blazblue since the first game and not a fan of half the roster being paid DLC, the game is a fun fighter for fans of anime fighting games and anime in general.

The game is great, it adds many modes to the game and the switch version is okay in dock mode. My only gripe is the roster is DLC for the most part.

Great fighting game though limited by sparse lobbies at non-peak hours. Recommended to get an alternative controller.

This was an Amazing purchase! The price was about $30 for a brand new copy of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle with the Bonus mini soundtrack.
The game is Great! The setup is cool how there is more than just a character select screen. You have an avatar that you can control to go to various sections of the game. Frankly their are Zero other fighting games this good on Nintendo Switch right now. BlazBlue is not brand new to the scene either so it has a good following.
I definitely recommend!!

This installment in the blazblue series is a bit different from the previous ones when it comes to the diverse combo system. The system in this game is a bit simpler yet still fun since it introduces plenty of new combo possibilities with the tag system. Plenty of characters, and the game runs really well and looks nice on the switch.

I had the curiosity to play this game, not a RWBY fan and some say this game is not that good, but I actually love it!
Hope more games like this come to Nintendo, sure Smash Bros is great but fighting crossover games need to be more present at Nintendo, like Blade Strangers.
Sadly I missed the free DLC for this.

Blazblue cross tag is an okay edition considering It's honestly really fun just has a lot of dlc. It may seem simple but once you dive into active switching and learn how to use the assist it turns into something different and really really fast.

I bought this for my 16 year old son because he had really been wanting it. He plays it with his friends. They all are into fighting games. They spend hours on it and gave it a good review. Plus it's a nice change of pace from super smash bros and other Mario related games.

This is one of the new breed of fighters, different from the old Street Fighter style, this has wild graphics, a fast pace and killer moves. The tag team action is a great feature, but all in all, I enjoyed Pokken Tournament DX and Dragon Ball FighterZ better.

If you've played a BlazBlue game before you know what you're getting here: Solid fighting game mechanics, quirky characters, and a melodramatic story line. This game does feature some interesting guest characters from franchises such as RWBY.

I'm a big fan of fighting games and this series helps scratch that 2d anime tag style itch. It's fun and intense and really addicting. Personally, I picked it up to familiarize myself with it before EVO this year.

Although the story is short for my taste, the fighting never gets old. At this year, this is the best fighting game on the Nintendo Switch. I recommend it for people looking for something new to play against someone
