The included USB cable is a generous 6 feet long — perfect if your power outlet is mounted halfway up the wall like some kind of architectural prank. Marketed as “wireless” (because Wi-Fi, I guess), these still need to be constantly plugged in. So if your dream aesthetic is “security camera awkwardly bolted into your drywall at eye level,” congratulations — you’ve found your soulmate.

While the cable provided is 6' in length, we do pride ourselves on the extremely competitive value of this device's price when compared to all competitors in its class. You could look into options of a 3rd party micro-USB to USB cord that sells separately as a possible solution as long as the micro-USB plug will fit into the slot in the back. This could give you a way to maintain the low cost value of the camera while giving it more length. We do also have an Outdoor Blink camera that is fully battery operated that can still be mounted inside if you would like the option to install it higher up without the need for a cord at all. I do hope these options help resolve your concern and potentially improve your experience some with your Blink camera! Thank you again for your time and feedback and have an amazing day!

Good luck finding data on a specific date: all it shows is day of week and time, no date. Set up not easy. Never able to get the microphone on the receiving end to work. Has quit twice, latest after blink update 5/17/23. Bought 2nd camera, same problem on two separate networks: can't connect after 5/17 Blink update. 5+ calls to support, still unresolved. Blink: game over.

Now only 9 months later it won't connect to my network and tech support says I have to pay $55 one time fee to update the software. What a scam. Will never purchase a product from them again.
