The mic comes in a beautiful cherry wood box. Comes with a metal pop screen that attaches to the top of the mic body. It does an OK job but I recommend getting another pop filter to use in conjunction with the one that comes with the Bluebird. The sound that you can record with this mic is absolutely incredible! You get a full, crystal clear and transparent audio capture. I use an Art Voice channel and Monster Cable 500 series microphone cable to record. This mic does require 48 volts phantom power, make sure you can provide that to the mic.

I think the Blue bluebird microphone is a great value for the price. It definitely compares with the Rode and for the money it's a great all-around microphone for someone wanting to record.

I purchased this microphone to do some independent vocal work. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the microphone. If you're willing to do a bit of tweaking, this microphone is perfect for vocal recording and even instrumental (acoustic) recording. The sound it picked up was only what I wanted it to. No background noise, no harsh p's and k's, very good quality for a $300 microphone.
