I love this mic. I was deciding between this and the bluebird mic, and I decided to buy this one instead ( it's $100 less), and I'm glad I did. I recently did a recording on this mic, and compared it to a friend's song using the bluebird, and there's honestly so little difference, it's almost not worth buying the bluebird when you can just save $100 and buy the Spark

I am starting a voiceover business and this microphone was recommended to me by someone who has been in the business for 20+ years. It seems to perform well as a starter's microphone. I did some sample demos and the quality seems to be good.
My only concern is that Best Buy is exiting the musical instrument and Accesories business, and will be missing the shopping experience in that department. Such a shame.

Great mic for the price! So easy to use and get set up. The pop screen seems a little cheap but overall great mic.

I purchased the Blue Microphones - "Spark Cardioid Condenser Microphone" two months ago. It allows you to record crisp and clean audio and is designed for recording vocals, as well as, all musical instruments. It is equipped with a "Focus Control" that has a normal mode for increased low-frequency sensitivity and a focus mode for improved ovell clarity. What a great value!

It is, probably, the best micro in this category. Very clear sound, beautiful design, good materials.

A good mic for the price...

I have had a few of these mics and I do like the way they sound, but they are poorly built. You may ask yourself, a few of them? I had one grill pop off and saw that it was just glued into place on the face of the capsule... One fried my pre amp because it had a grounded phantom power wire...
But, third times a charm!
If I have any more problems, I will not be replacing it. If you get one that made it through the plant with everything in place, then you got a good one, and it is a great sounding mic!
