I think this is a good pour over coffee maker, however, I find good coffee is too fine and if you use a coffee filter or takes way to long to drip. If you use coarser grind, then you don't get rich flavor, so I'm still experimenting to get the perfect cup. I like using on my days off when i can savor it.

This thing does as advertised. For the price I don't think you can get a better drip coffee experience. Try it. Use with cone paper filters helps eliminate the grit and makes cleaning easier.

Recently purchased bodum pour over because I was tired of the mundane coffee pot. Bodums pour over is an answer to excellent full flavor coffee and at a fair price compared to other pour overs. Looks good on the counter as well!

I love this coffee maker. I am in my fourth. Its not the Bodum, its me :( I am forgetful and I have trashed, burned and dropped several units. But, do not confuse my average state of carelessness with the quality of the device.
I like to avoid plastic and heavy metal on my coffee. I use a glass kettle to heat my water and this coffee maker with home grinded full beans. I would not trade the Bodum for any expresso machine as in my opinion this is a cleaner and healthier way to brew.
I have been using it for four years. I can tell you that you need paper filters. The unit comes with a fetterless basket, but the openings on the wire mesh are too wide, so you end up with watery coffee unless you use a paper filter (as it slows down the dripping on the water).
The glass is top notch. Will resist small hits and impact without failure. It has a great thermal resistance, as I have forgotten in the stove for minutes bone dry and it has not cracked. You wait untill is cool, a rinse with a sponge and all happy and clean after afterwards. It can also be used to brew tea
CLEANING. Very important point. The throat of the carafe is big enough to put your hand in for a nice clean up. This is not the case in all makes and model.
In conclusion, love it, on my fourth, will keep buying next time I break it.

I was getting tired and disappointed with my Keurig coffee machine and was looking for a better way to make coffee that was just as convenient and more eco-conscious, so I looked into Chemex glass pour over makers and also saw the Bodum version that I purchased. Thinking about cost and size, I decided to go with the Bodum model and have been extremely pleased with the results. I look forward to my cup of coffee now and probably won't go back to the Keurig any time soon. I can make 1-4 cups of coffee using as much or little coffee as I desire with easy prep and cleanup. Excellent!

So far I love this unit- its a great pour over coffee maker. The glass is weird to clean but there's no way around that- a random brush on a stick works best. The screen is very good- is holds varying sizes of grinds without much fuss. This unit gives about 3 cups worth of coffee- which is perfect- two full cups to start with for you and a guest and the third to top off and rewarm the cup.

This is a very nice choice for starting off a coffee snob. Pour overs offer the variety of taste with the filter to help keep grinds out of your drink and easy to clean up.

This is definitely no chemex pour over coffee maker but it does the job. I think you're better off with a true filter pour over maker because the metal reusable filter just has to big of holes for flow. Meaning the water flows through far too quickly for a pour over. I probably need to play with the fineness of my grounds more to get the right timing and flavor from it. For $10 I can easily travel & use it for camping without worrying about it breaking though.

Has become my favorite coffee maker! I use it for 2 to 8 cups and it works great. One note - don't pour water in too fast, give it time to brew through and not overflow the top. I grind my beans for each pot, use filtered water and the coffee rivals coffee houses.
