The unit performed admirably once I got it up and running. The problem connecting it with the cable company wasn't with the DVR but the cable company's inability to properly pair the Motorola cable modem card that they provided. But after 3 days of going back and forth I finally got to a desk jockey at the local Vyve connection desk that was willing to go the extra mile and find the correct procedure for this relatively new model. Has performed flawlessly ever since. If you want to own your own DVR on your cable TV network then this is the one to get. 6 tuners means hardly ever a conflict of time with your favorite programs. And 3Tb of space provides ample room to save lots of programs. And if that isn't enough you can get an optional external drive. We've recorded many shows in the 26 days since it was connected and are only at 15% of the useable space on the hard drive.

This is the best TiVo DVR...until the next one. :) But this TiVo Bolt has so much room/space, that if you fill it halfway, you will be watching recorded shows/movies for days. The features this Bolt has are beyond awesome...one of the best of course is skipping commercials :) You can't go wrong the TiVo Bolt.

So far have been using for ~2 months. Working without a problem. Many great features like add skip. Better than FiOS DVR! The added number of tuners is a better than one would think. The storage (3 TB) is OK, since TiVo makes expanding it a very limiting (1TB) with a Western Digital Expander. Still a very high priced.

There are definite risks involved when you buy technology that is smarter than you are. It took me a few hours of time reading instructions, getting a card from the cable company and on the phone to get everything activated, but it went fairly smoothly, all things considered. There's only 1 hitch as far as I've found after 1 month of ownership. Despite having it connected to my AirPort Extreme with a Cat1 cable, it will randomly not recognize the modem. It also seems to resolve randomly, resets don't make it resolve. Internet is up and working on all other devices. It's very odd. However, the only function that interrupts is the ability to stream onto your computer/ipad, so it's really not a deal breaker. It also seems to happen less since we turned off the power saving, not sure what that had to do with anything. Calls to TiVo had no solution, though the techs were very patient and friendly. I suspect that I may need to increase my internet service capabilities as we have 3 kids that love to stream YouTube on their phones as well as on line gaming, but it has only happened 2 times in the 4 weeks we have had it up and running. Definitely worth the trouble otherwise. The one button skip feature is fantastic, the interface is easy enough to adjust to. The remote is good, though not backlit (would be great at this premium price point). I haven't used the streaming on it, we just use the apps on our tv for that. We also purchased a TiVo mini for our bedroom, the set up was seamless for that. I bit the bullet and purchased the lifetime TiVo service package which made for an expensive month, but if it continues to be reliable, I think it will be worth it for us.

Even though this is the high end Tivo Bolt with 6 tuners, it doesn't seem to properly utilize all 6 at once. Even with no apparent programming overlap it keeps showing conflicts and won't record on all 6 tuners at the same time. Also, the error messages for recording conflicts are very confusing and of no help in figuring out how to resolve. Also, level of personal customization is sadly lacking, and in some cases just doesn't work, like channel list removal of stations you have no interest in. I uncheck them in the list which is supposed to make them not show up, but they still do. General performance is slow also. I get a lot of pauses and spinning wheels when there should be no issues, such as not while using on-demand, etc.

I'm a long time user of Tivo and will continue to be. The Bolt+ is the best one yet. 3TB hard drive, 6 shows recording at once, and a GREAT user friendly interface. Also, I can't even begin to tell you how awesome the "skip commercials" feature is. Press the green button and it automatically skips them perfectly. It doesn't work for all channels, but it does on all the main ones. To be fair and post a downside ... comcast cable cards were a pain. Comcast doesn't really promote tivo or train their installers on how to set them up. So I had to call them back several times. I'm honestly stunned that there aren't more tivo users out there. It's a perfect machine and I couldn't feel happier about my purchase.

Wonderful! There are no limits to our TV viewing now. DVR has 6 tuners and 3 terabytes of storage. Can record so many shows and watch when we desire. Not tied to the tv schedule.

Bought the 1 TB bolt shortly before this one came out and was always wishing I had more space and at least one more tuner. When I saw the plus model come out I had to get it. You will not be disappointed.

Had the Comcast Guy set it up for me That was first week of October 2017,everything works great and fast. No problems at all.Love it.Its awesome.

The Tivo BOLT+ is awesome! I have used Tivo for years and have always been very happy with it. It's easy to maneuver and has a ton of space! I have used Amazon Video and Netflix on it with no issues. You can not go wrong with Tivo!

This box does it all! Can record 6 shows at once, can stream multiple movie service and has a ton of storage. Been using for 3 years and has been awesome.

I purchased this to replace my Romeo and use with my 4K TV, it works fine. Only 4 stars due to TIVO issues on recorded shows skip function hit or miss on same channels. Since TIVO was purchased by ROVI it has dramatically gone downhill, slow to fix problems with recording issues, customer service is horrible, if you want to call them with a problem etc. expect at least a 45 minute wait and a difficult to understand representative.

Second TiVo Bolt I have purchased. Easy set up, great picture, 6 tuners. I am in DVR heaven.

We love this DVR! I've had several TiVo boxes over the years and this is by far the best . Skip mode is awesome, tons of storage and the remote is very responsive. Spend the extra money on the 3TB of storage, you won't regret it

This is an amazing DVR. Other TIVO DVR's are excellent, but this one is incredible. Six tuners, 3 terabytes of hard disk space, amazing abilities to fast forward with reasonable voice, or even faster (about 3X) with captions, other fast forward options significantly better than DVR's from Comcast or Dish which I have used. It is able to skip commercials with a single press of a button. Its search function which covers all the streaming services plus Comcast is second to none. I no longer need a bunch of remotes controls (e.g. ROKU, Amazon, etc.) and the device is already 4K ready. And the tech support is great! Totally recommended.

I love this machine and I gave it 4 stars only because like the traditional cable box it doesn't display the time of day and it doesn't have the RF TV Out. The RF TV Out is important to me because I have a DVD recorder and I haven't figured out how to record tv programs to the recorder. I bought this box because despite the fact that I selected "Keep Until I Delete" Verizon Fios took it upon itself to delete programs when I ran out of space.

great 4k tivo dvr for your cable company, , just insert a cable card in. 3 terabyte hard drive for lots of recorded saved movies. smart apps in 4k movies.

The TiVo bolt is an incredible product. I bought this when my premier was done. If you have broadband in your home, you can stream programs to your iPad or phone from your bolt

Have a TiVo primer (getting old... Worried about the hard drive) The first one I got was DOA - TiVo replaced it, works well since then.

If you're tired of paying the rental fees for a cable box but still want an awesome DVR, this is the way to go. I love all the features but especially the one button commercial skip.
