This phone is wonderful. Even though it is simple in design, it is great in what it does. It makes a great business phone since it has everything you need and nothing you don't. Such as loud and clear calling, ultra fast texting and instant email checking, calendar, world time and multiple alarm clocks. The camera takes wondeful pictures and even has cool effects like color filters, and editing. The large buttons make it easy to dial and has orange lighted keys. The large digital clock on here makes checking the time easy for anyone.
There is a keypad tone on here that is very unique, and sounds just like a xylophone. It becomes very addicting to just press and listen to it, especially when you are texting. (I never heard this tone on any other phone).
And the great thing for me is that the reception is great! Iv'e tried other providers in my area such as cricket and t-mobile but reception was bad....
Good job sanyo and boost mobile. The best combination of cell phone + service. Highly recommend you get this.

I was in the market for a new cell phone and didn't want to be tied down with any contracts, and I came across Boost mobile. Their $50 unlimited plan sounded too good to be true, but I figured that i'd give it a shot...i'm glad I did! Unlimited talk/txt/web is just what I needed. I chose the Sanyo Mirro phone due to the long battery life (about 5hrs talk time), price, and feature set. At first glance this phone seems very basic, and that's the beauty of it; it is. But don't let that fool you...features like push email are very nice (especially for a non-smart phone). The display on the phone is extremely sharp (240 x 320), and get's very good service. This is one of few phones Boost offers that operate on the speedier CDMA network. The outer surface of the phone is pretty much a mirror (hence Mirro) and is pleasing on the eyes. The included web browser I had issues with, however after downloading Opera Mini, i'm very happy. For the money, it doesn't get any better than this. The only thing I wish this phone has was a QWERTY keyboard, and then i'd be in heaven. For those where that is a must, look at the Incognito (personally, I wish I could have purchased that phone, but lack of funds prevented that from happening). Overall, I am very happy with this phone.

GREAT PHONE FOR THE BUCK!!!!! HONESTLY!!!!!!

Let me tell you, this phone is wayyyyyyy greater than what i expected to get for $80 bucks. i had wanted a blackbery so bad that i was going to spend my whole check on it until the dude in the boost store said they ran out and i had needed a phone asap for business purposes.... I was also switching from the iden (sim card) network to the cdma (non-sim card) network and let me tell yo it was worth it. The phone has just enough features to ensure enjoyment. It has an alarm that i use every morning, the ringtones are loud, it has gps, speaker phone features, caller id features and tons of more. The best feature though to me is the camera....the camera on this phone is incredible, i tell you know lie...i know several people that have the blackberry and the sanyo pictures are wayyyyy more better and have a greater resoultion and it is just GREAT!!!!! The only flaw about the phone but it isnt really a big deal is the front it scratches pretty easy but yet is a liget mirro. Overall this phone is great, so even if your money cant afford a blackberry or it can i would still recommend this phone.

BEST PRE PAID CELL FROM BOOST

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST SUPERIOR PHONE U CAN BUY FROM BOOST THAT IS MADE BY SANYO. all other phones the cheeper ones, black berrys, seek, or other wise break and are inferior made. dont just take my word for it read the other reviews for the other phones. ive had other sanyo phones from sprint before and all were equally reliable. im a truck driver and im pretty hard on my phones. ive had NO issues at all with my mirror. ive had mine for 6 months now. the battery life is great, im constantly texting n useing the web and it last for days. if u happen to get a dud promptly return it for another one or buy the insurance. this is a great phone for the money and better if u get on sale. my gf has the clutch and has had nothing but probs with it, i would not buy it. soon im getten her a mirror. whats the since of having a phone if its not reliable. what else can i say I love my phone, has nice features, is reliable.

I purchased this cell phone for my husband because he wanted a simple prepaid phone that wasn't too small and he didn't want to be in any contracts. There are lots of great features such as camera that takes nice quality pictures, loud clear speaker phone, ability to text. I was quite amazed at the crisp clear sound. With the purchase of the $50 plan there is unlimited texting unlimited minutes as well as internet. The picture quality is great along with great battery life. Great quality, nice size. You just cant go wrong for the price. Nice mirror finish with time display on outside of phone.

I have had the phone for 6 months and I still love it! I have had great service with my Mirro, rarely do I not have a signal, internet is fast and easy to use, texting is easy and includes threads, battery life is great, unless I am texting a lot or on the web a lot, it only needs charged every other day and it charges quickly. I am also hard on my phones (I drop them constantly) and the phone has held up wonderfully! The only 2 things I don't like are the lack of storage for pictures and not being able to watch things like youtube. I would recommend this phone!

A perfect simple phone

A nice simple phone with nice crisp display and orange lighted keys. The camera takes nice pictures. The outer mirror finish can be used as a vanity mirror too. It's a more simple/basic type phone since it doesn't have the smart phone type features. It makes a great emergency use phone and for anyone on a really tight budget. Very easy to use.
I just wish it had the walkie talkie feature, however i can do without it.

Sanyo Mirro - EXCELLENT - For Hearing Impaired

I had been looking for months to get a 88yo Senior Citizen with hearing and visual difficulty a cell phone. AT&T said they had such a phone but I tried 2 of their phones out and they were not even close nor acceptable to this Sanyo phone. The Headset Volume is EXCELLENT, the Keypad layout is EXCELLENT, the Keypad Display is EXCELLENT and can be adjusted to have LARGE display font of numbers when dialing, including LARGE display of Contacts Names & Telephone Numbers. The battery life for this phone is EXCELLENT. For a 88yo Senior which talks constantly all day on the phone I find it provides the best battery life of any phone out there. For those VISUAL & HEARING IMPARED this is the phone you will want.

Purchased this phone about 5 days after it was on the market and have only used it about 10 weeks and the LED display has gone black! The phone's still working, receiving and sending calls - but I can't see anything on the screen. Also saw this prob posted other places online.
Up until this malfunction, I was very pleased with the phone and the month-to-month service - great value for the price - unlimited talk, text & web for $50/month flat rate and no contract.

First, I was concerned because no SIM card was needed. However, I called Boost Mobile for help with activation.
As I am still adjusting to the phone, I am getting better at using it.

I am very glad I purchased this phone. I was considering the Incognito but read reviews about the keys being small. The Sanyo Mirro has a key that is very easy to use for texting. The size is just right. I like that I can just glance at the phone and see who's calling without any effort at all. The time and caller info is large and easy to read. However, I don't like the fact that the screen is very difficult to see when outside in the sunlight. I am definitely happy that I chose this phone.

I bought this phone almost a month ago and I am so glad I did. Overall this phone is very worth the price. It is easy to use and looks great. The calls are clear and I really have no problems with service. The only issue I have is the features on the phone are very basic, so if you are looking for a smart phone then look at a phone with a contract. If you are looking to save a couple of bucks a month ( I was paying $80 w/ sprint and now $55 w/ boost) then I would recommend this phone

Best pre-paid cell phone
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This is the best pre-paid phone I have owned in 8 years of being a pp cell user. The features are not as numerous as a so-called "smart phone" , but are pretty advanced and the performance is excellent. It is worth the price. Battery life lessens quite a bit when you are using the text, web and other non-talk features so be prepared to charge it a lot.

This is quite a good phone for the new Boost CDMA. If you prefer flips to QWERTY's and Berry's, you can't go wrong with the Mirro!
