I bought this for my 9 year old son. He has experience on skateboards but this is his first eskate. I liked that you can put it in beginner mode first so they can learn the board. He caught on fast and is now on the intermediate mode. Charges really fast and the battery lasts for hours.

Two weeks later I have wear on the motor shaft. Should have done my research it’s common. Board sounds like a lawn mower. My evolve is silent and months old. It has its problems but a motor shalf is crazy this early. I know to take it easy on acceleration and hills(stress).

I bought this primarily as a tool to commute to and from work. I live 1.5 miles from a train station and my work is approximately 2.0 miles from my drop off station.
The Mini X is FAST. When you put this thing on Expert mode, you can feel the difference immediately. You can hit 20mph in no time, and you really should be careful.
If you have never ridden a skateboard before, or have very limited experience, I'm telling you right now. DO NOT PUT IT IN EXPERT MODE. Keep it in beginner, find a nice flat area with no obstructions and practice. If you try to go flat out in expert mode with no experience, you will fall and hurt yourself.
The ride quality is the only thing I will say is bad about the board. If you live in an area with really rough streets, you should probably save more and buy the longboard, or invest in better wheels that can handle the rough roads.
The build quality is top-tier, the thing is a brick, coming in at 18lbs. If I had to carry this thing for any significant amount of time, I may turn into a body builder. Everything is tucked away and you'll never see a wire unless you look.
Overall I highly recommend this board, but only if you have limited space and can handle the harsh ride. This board is VERY nimble and you can corner like crazy in this thing. If you have the space, I recommend you save and get one of the longboards.
Be safe, have fun and wear a helmet!

I was on the fence about this or the bigger boosted board. Went small to allow for travel, but so far was denied on a Delta flight due to their battery policy. The board itself is solid and well planted. Was afraid it might get squirrelly at high speeds buts it remains planted and stays on track. The power takes a bit to get the hang of as it is really torquey on acceleration. Braking is smooth and controlled, and going in reverse is also possible which always turns heads on the street. Wear a helmet and try to relax your smile from time to time. Your cheeks will hurt from grinning so much.

best thing about this is when you buy from Best Buy I can get the protection Plan where as if you were to buy it from boost and board directly if anything goes wrong you have to ship it to California they have to ship it back and it takes 4 to 6 months and that is the absolute truth there is no way you will get your stuff back from boosted board quicker than four months they won’t just send you the part you need it to send them home bored and then they send you the water back Best Buy offers you the protection plan the warranty it offers everything you just bring it in if there’s a problem the only thing it doesn’t cover is water Damage… Don’t ride and rain anyway that’s how you get hurt

Got this a couple weeks ago. So far have put over 50 miles on it and love it. The braking is superb. Helps to loosen up the tricks a bit, but the board sells with a skate tool in the box.
It’s heavy, but you get used to it and the small size is easy to take with you wherever you are headed. Charges very quickly.
The large battery hangs a bit low, and the deck is stiff, so large bumps are best avoided, but I have no problem riding it around Westwood

I bought the Boosted Mini X for getting around at work because sometimes the jobsite where I'm working is a couple of blocks from the parking lot where my vehicle is parked. So it's a great time and energy saver while being fun. At one location it takes eight minutes to walk from the control room to my truck, but with the Mini-X, it takes less than three minutes. So, with the number of times that I have to get more equipment from my truck in a day, the Mini-X can save me between 30 to 60 minutes, which equates to getting more done with less stress.

Fun ride and very powerful. (Pro) You passing all off congested traffic. (Pro) long lasting battery for strait flat surface routes I did over 6 miles from home to work with half battery usage (Charge at work if you can). Can help anyone 200 pounds over steep hills but can drain power easily but not significantly. Be careful over pumps for it can damage one off the two belts. The belts are protected but still be very careful. The board doesn't come with a tool to take off the battery from the board in order to bring into airport or put in luggage so I had to give it away to my room mate. *Buy that v crip screwdriver if you plan on taking into plane. I had to leave mines in hawaii while moving to utah. Salt lake city is a great place for the mini board rides. (Con) too expensive.

Whether you are a life long skater or starter or parent. do not let anyone ride your board without starting on beginner and with helmut. DO not ever let anyone TRY your board unless you enjoy a possible lawsuit or broken board. This is an awesome product but it is not a TOY. Take it serious I learned the hard way . BUy a helmut. I thought I Was the man and learned my lesson.... A must is the 2 year protection. And you must inspect and service your board yourself regularly...… Waited 2 years to decide .. wish I never waited lost 2 years of fun. Take it slow you are also not THE MAN. LOL

So much fun, it’s fast! But, 27 days later the battery died, won’t charge and It is being mailed back to Boosted for replacement under warranty. It’s a common manufacturing defect. If you get 3 blinking lights and the 4th LED on the deck power meter stays lit, it’s done for. Then call customer support. Really a disappointment for a $1000 Board! But, it’s so much fun I’m waiting for the new battery to ride again!

Same great range as my V2 Plus XR in a smaller size. More maneuverable than the longboard, but a slightly harsher ride due to not having the flex of the longboard.

As a skateboarder of 15+ years, this is actually pretty fun! Especially if you know how to ride, carving at high speed is awesome! And that's all the time! Not having to look for a hill, very easy to startup and get going. The app is simple and straight forward

This is my first Boosted Board purchase. What an amazing board.... The power is absolutely incredible, and the quality of the individual parts is fantastic. The board can achieve roughly 20 MPH, and there it takes hills with ease.

The Boosted Mini X electric skateboard is an amazing piece of hardware. As a former avid skateboarder, I took to riding the Mini X easily as it is very similar to riding a normal short skateboard just much heavier. You can easily push down the tail to adjust left and right but any ollie tricks would not be possible because again this board is very heavy at about 16lbs. Fast enough, great battery life, good torque for uphill climbs, great braking for smooth stopping power, and good feel riding and controlling. Super expensive, but when you don’t want to risk the problems with the many cheaper options, I would absolutely spend more to buy Boosted.

Only giving it 4 stars cause I just bought an upgrade that truly deserves the 5. But this is a great board nonetheless for short commutes to work or just for fun. Saving me a fair amount of money on gas as well

Excellent board. I’m able to ride around the city at 20 mph. The Mini-X is a great board for short commutes. But the deck has no flex at all so you feel every bit of the road.

Had the long board. he belt broke and the motor began to make noisy. Used the extended warranty plan and exchanged it for the shorter one.
