The Boox Max Lumi is an excellent product. I use it every day. The fact that it is not a computer tablet is exactly why I bought it. It has completely replaced my notebooks and planners because they are all on my Lumi. It has a front light which is great when you're in a low-lit room. It's a steep learning curve, but there are many YouTube videos and Facebook groups where you learn about the device. If you need customer service for technical issues, I would advise to contact Boox company.

Generally pleased with my Max Lumi tablet

I am using my tablet to read scanned in music and so far I am generally pleased with my purchase. It will overcome the problem I have with my iPad - the image is washed out in strong light (i.e. outdoors on a sunny day). I do have a couple of complaints - the image does not seem to be as sharp as my iPad (I think this may have something to do with perception of color vs gray scale) and the refresh when I turn pages is rather slow.

Avoid Boox and buy Remarkable

Malfunctioning after a few months of use and the customer service was a disaster. Now I couldn't write or erase on the tablet randomly. It's not the problem of the stylus since even a new one fails on the tablet. The customer service just repeatly asked me to factory reset, update firmware (newst version already) and test my tablet following their instructions. Every time after a trial, I have to take photos/videos to show the problem still exists. I couldn't believe after > 4 months of back-and-forth, they just won't take the tablet back and fix it! Worst purchase experience ever. Already bought Remarkable 2 and works like a charm. Avoid Boox at all cost!
