Lady GaGa ‘Born This Way’ CD Review For all the Little Monsters around the world May, 23, 2011 couldn't arrive soon enough. Yes, kids Lady GaGa's full length CD "Born This Way," has finally hit the shelves of your record retail store. The fix is in. I have to admit I am one of the Little Monsters who has been waiting for this release. That being said, the journalist in me did remain a bit skeptical on how good the CD would really turn out to be. Would it exceed all expectations and become an even bigger success than her "Fame Monster?" Yes the answer is a resounding, it just might. Though I'm not a mind reader or fortune teller I'll go out on a limb and say "Born This Way," will enter the Billboard Chart next week at Number 1. I would be shocked if this isn't the case. There are two versions of "Born This Way." The first release is a Special Edition 2 disc set. The first CD contains 17 tracks. Disc two boasts 5 remixes including 'Born This Way,' 'Judas,' 'Marry The Night,' 'Schdibe," and 'Fashion Of His Love.' Don't worry I'm not going to bore you with a lengthily song by song synopsis. What I will say is "Born This Way," is an excellent release; doesn't have one bad or mediorchior song in the bunch. It is a strong dance release that contains endless hit single releases. Still a rocker until the end I have not thrown in the towel and joined the high energy dance club. Give me an electric guitar over a sync drum anytime. There is something here for everyone. Turn up the volume to 10. I'm sure even the health clubs will be cranked into this release so get ready spinning and cardio classes. GaGa's voice is a natural wonder. No studio magic here on the vocals. I should know, I've seen her live. The woman CAN sing. Co-writing all 17 tracks she showcases more of her talent on this release. She's not merely a one-trick-pony. There's a lot more here than meets the eye or ears. Is she the greatest songwriter ever to grace the blank page? Of course not. Is she imaginative to come up with infectious hooks and choruses; absolutely. This release is proof positive she's not just another pop star who wears outrageous clothes, steals the spotlight, and basks in all the hoopla she's surrounded with. 'Born This Way,' starts out incredibly strong with "Marry The Night," and never lets up until the very last chord is played 17 tracks later. Of course the singles "Born This Way," and "Judas," resound with incredible sound and passion. There are other gems in the fold. "Hair," "Bloody Mary," (a great Goth-esque tune), "You And I," (produced by "Mutt" Lange, guitar solo by Queen's Brian May) and the "Edge Of Glory," (Clarence Clemmons sax solo is right on target) are all superb. "Americano," with its LA/Mexican influence is great and sure to light a fire in your local dance club. " ScheiŸe," is without a doubt one of the most unusual songs on the CD. Starting out in German (who knew GaGa spoke a bit of the language) still turns the corner into a groove that is undeniable. One might be surprised at the religious undertone of a number of the tracks on the release. I don't find anything inflammatory here. In fact the imagery is wonderful and the church choir chorus effects are inspiring. Perhaps that's just my perspective. Those detractors will always find what they wish to find and make mountains out of molehills. It's just Entertainment folks. Back to the review: I do have to say in regards to the second disc, I really would have loved GaGa to include the acoustic versions (solo piano) of "You And I," and "The Edge Of Glory." Seeing her perform these live I can honestly say they were highlights of the show and very moving. I guess the ultimate question remains: Will 'Born The Way,' surpass the mega colossal selling "Fame Monster?" If the initial buzz and publicity is any indication the answer without a doubt is YES. It is impossible to miss GaGa is week. Just turn on your television, she's on every show imaginable. From Oprah, The View, David Letterman, SNL, Good Morning America, possibly the finale of American Idol (right now that's a strong rumor) and countless others, the promo train keeps on a rolling. Little Monsters take heed, "Born This Way," is truly the release we've all been waiting for. This release is going to be around and running strong for a long time to come. I can't wait for the follow-up videos certain to come.

GAGA DELIVERS! This album is amazing and has a positive core message of loving who you are throughout the album. And boy is it one sonic, thumping, pounding, rush! This is one of the best dance albums ever made in my opinion. Stand-outs include the mega bangers: Marry The Night, Government Hooker, Sheibe, Electric Chapel, Edge Of Glory, Bloody Mary and so many more! This is one mean, cool, yet uplifting record. The 80's are back with musicians like Clarence Clemmons from the E Street band and Brian May (guitarist) from Queen recording with GAGA on this very album! Mega producers like Mutt Lange, Red One, and Garibay bring their A game. GAGA brought the heat! Anyone even slightly disappointed with the first couple singles (wishing this album has what made The Fame and Fame Monster such a dance-gasm) will love them once they hear they have such a amazing home and purpose in making the album a complete experience. Don't worry, you will be dancing your hearts out Little Monsters and new fans alike from Track 1. I say buy you and your friend a copy!

I got the new CD Yesterday. Listen to the whole thing plus the remixes. Lady GaGa was singing in my dreams. Then when I got up this morning I heard her singing some more. I really like the new CD but I didn't realize until this morning that I like every song on the CD. The new CD is Hauntingly Monterously Awesome. You get to see another part of Mother Monster's Soul. I enjoy the Experience as always. It is a great complement to Lady GaGa's The Fame Monster. If you listen to Fashion Of His Love you going to be reminded of I wanna dance with somebody by Whitney Houston. I had to write about this cause it is still all fresh in my head and has not had time to settle. Awesome CD and I think it is great work from Lady GaGa. I know some are not going to like the new CD. Others are going to love it. That's how it goes with any artist. So the best way to sum it up is I think Born this way is Epic. But, in a sense that most would not understand. True Lady Gaga fan's know that you have to change with music and with the artist. Because it is a reflection of the artist. You either love it or you don't.

I was never really a fan of Gaga when she first came out, in fact I never even heard her music except for Bad Romance!! Being a fan of pure rock music I was never really into pop music. So a friend of mine suggested I get the CD cause he really liked it. So I picked up the special edition and popped it into my car on the way home from Best Buy and I gotta say, I really liked it. Its pop but it has a 80's techno rock feel to it which I liked. The songs on the album was very different from anything I have ever heard, and extremely catchy. I now listen to the album every frickin day. My favorite songs on the album are Electric Chapel, Scheibe, and Heavy Metal Lover.

The album cover needs some time to get used to, but eventually it's like "Come on! I'm a motorcycle with a ferocious head!" From the start, it builds momentum, and only goes much further up. Songs like Government Hooker and Scheiße are heavy hitting beats with catchy lyrics. Other songs, such as Black Jesus + Amen Fashion, Bad Kids [Which I personally love the touch of heavy rock], and Electric Chapel have the feeling of classic metal songs, with a dark twist and, of course, amazing heavy beats. The album ends with the electric You and I and The Edge of Glory, ending the album with a feeling of hope and finding that light at the end of the darkness, a very nice touch to a heavy album. Overall, Lady Gaga has once again brought us her blood and sweat in one extraordinary sophomore album. Little monsters, put your paws up as high as you can, because Gaga isn't going anywhere for a while.

The bleeps in Government Hooker are intended. The song is a statement on American Government and society. How we are always being edited and it is our decision whether or not to be the Government's hooker or not. This was an artistic decision in forming the message of the song.

i have heard most of the songs at farmville on facebook and this album its definitely great, the best songs of the album are. marry the night,Americano,ScheiBe,bloody marry,heavymetal lover well all of the songs are incredible...

Gaga's best work to date. High lights include Electric Chapel, Bloody Mary, and her Six-Week number one single Born This Way. This album will not disappoint. It mixes pop with electronic and heavy metal, a true anthem to all the bad kids out there.

This album is amazing. Every track makes you want to get up and dance the night away. Don't believe those who say this album is a letdown because it really isn't.

This is by far one of thee best pieces of musical art ever put out by an artist. The lyrics have meaning and soul, it incorporates disco and metal into Gaga's already famous electronic beats, and the vocals are simply phenomenal.

Amazing cd, killer dance beats, inspiring lyrics, and an overall perfect album. 5/5 for sure!

I am not a fan of what she wears for clothing but her music is awesome! This CD is constantly playing in my vehicle. My kids, ages 11 & 6, request the CD over Justin Bieber. I am more than happy to play Lady GaGa over Bieber anyday! I enjoyed most of the songs on the CD. Born this Way is by far my fav!

This is the 1st cd of Lady Gaga I have purchased. It is also the first cd in a long time where I have loved every song on it!! Well worth it!
