I am fairly happy with my purchase and extremely happy with the install team. They removed my old unit and did a great job installing. This washer is extremely quiet. My only complaint is I specifically wanted a dishwasher that dries well, particularly plastic, and this is terrible at drying plastic. Worse than my broken 20 yr old dishwasher. The salesman misspoke about several features like telling me the dishwasher opens on its own to let out steam and then seals back up to finish drying. It opens at the end of a cycle if you select auto dry but that is at the end and does not reseal or continue further. Also, I wish I hadn’t let them fill the rinse aid compartment with the free sample of Finish. It leaves a taste and odor on dishes.

The Bosch 500 is so quiet, the only way I can tell that it is on is by the light it projects on the floor. I love the interior layout and easy to clean filter.

We love this dishwasher. We live in an area that has hard water and don't have a water softener. We had glasses and cups that had hard water stains on them. One wash in this and they were gone! The plastic cups looked brand new! The third rack is very convenient, we put most of the flatware there. It's very quiet too.

This is a massive upgrade from the dishwasher we replaced, but it's not perfect. Getting it to connect to my WiFi was a 2 day process (and I still don't know why it finally worked vs all the other times I did the exact same steps). But once you have it connected it's very nice to be notified when a load of dishes is done. This cleans things very nicely, with very few instances of anything being left on a dish or utensil. (And that usually only happens if the mess is REALLY baked on or you've loaded utensils too closely together.) This is still miles better than our old dishwasher, which just seemed to throw food around the inside so that it ended up on everything. The main reason I'm dropping a star on this is that the drying part is really not great. The top/3rd rack (where utensils and plastic stuff typically goes, usually comes out very, very wet, even if you open it up a crack and then forget to unload it for a day. This is fairly typical of all dishwashers, I suppose, especially for plastic items, but I was disappointed since the drying capabilities of this were rated as "Very Good" by CR. Oh, and it's VERY quiet. If you hear it making noise it's definitely because you've loaded it wrong.

Mediocre at best. The AutoAir feature doesn't really help with drying the dishes. Silverware in the third rack often don't get cleaned, requiring a second wash. The sanitize light, which is suppose to light when the dishes have been sanitized, has never come on. Not sure if it's actually sanitizing the dishes, especially the baby bottles. The related app is confusing to use. The tongs in the racks are spaced to closely together, making it difficult to stack bowls. Coffee mugs with bottom indentations and plastics never get completely dried, whether you use the AutoAir feature or not. It is quiet when running.

Third rack is very convenient and the ability to adjust the height of the second rack was a bonus I did not expect. It cleans very well and it’s super quiet- I’ve interrupted cycles on accident because I couldn’t tell it was on. Best Buy did a great job with delivery and installation. Im very happy with the purchase.

This is my 4th Bosch dishwasher so I have a long history with the product. I've used this new dishwasher for about two weeks and so far it is cleaning fairly well. Two observations I have is the racks and the utensil basket. First, compared to previous models the dishwasher rolling racks don't roll as smoothly. They feel a bit flimsy compared to the heft of previous models. Initially the top (3rd rack) wobbled midway when pulled out but it seems that has resolved itself. My biggest disappointment is the utensil basket, which is half the size of my previous model. For those of us who prefer to chuck utensils into a basket rather than place them one by one in the third rack, the size of this basket falls way short. Fortunately, I had a bigger basket from my old model that I kept and am using. Unfortunately, the way it has to fit takes up precious plate room. Previous models had a much better plate configuration in the bottom rack and much more flexibility with prongs that could be adjusted flat. What can I say? I think sometimes products that were excellent get tweaked and adjusted and lose their excellence. This one works just fine; I just feel some great things were lost in a redesign.

extremely quiet! Super easy to install. I'm used to a large silverware basket, but OH, it's recommended to use the top rack...which turns out to be better for cleanliness, and no more bending over or losing the silverware in the bottom of the DW. Love it

I was replacing my Bosch with another Bosch as they have been so reliable - and although I was going from an 800 series to a 500 series, the change is unnoticeable. This has a feature for the dishes to finish drying with a self-release or self-open feature and that is my favorite part of it. No more wet dishes.

Love the Bosch 500 Series 24" top control dishwasher. Does a great job and very quiet. The service from Best Buy was excellent.

It's so quiet. It really gets everything clean without me having to rinse everything off first. Even stuck on, dried on food is gone! I'm very impressed with this dishwasher. The only thing I don't like is that on the air dry, plastic doesn't come out dry.

Great dishwasher, but avoid Best Buy installation. The Bosch 500 Series works flawlessly—quiet, powerful, and efficient. But Best Buy’s install was rushed and sloppy, and their customer service was non-existent. We had to pay a third-party to fix it. Buy the appliance, but hire your own installer.

My wife loves this - the app makes it convenient to know when cycle is done

I have always been someone who purchased the cheapest appliance. I finally bought one of the better ones and it is nice but I think I expected more. 3rd rack and adjustable 2nd rack are very nice. Only 1 silverware tray is annoying. Really for 1k I can't have a second silverware basket? Dishes come out spotless. They are mostly dry except for bottoms of cups. Door is stiff to operate and you have to remove the dishwasher to adjust the tension. Overall very nice I guess I just expected better.

The Bosch dishwasher is the quietest dishwasher we have ever had. Dishes come out sparkling clean. I would highly recommend this product.

It seems like, when I told people I was shopping for a new dishwasher when I was heading into the work on redoing my kitchen, just about everyone mentioned Bosch dishwashers and, especially, how quiet they are. That wasn’t the only reason I selected this Bosch 500 Series model but, now that I’ve been living with it for 2-1/2 months, I can certainly ratify their comments and recommendation. And the 500 Series was the sweet spot for me, cost- and feature-wise. AutoAir works fine.
