Work great if you know what ANC does

It doesn’t block out all noise, it cancels out certain noises like consistent rumbles, etc. You won’t hear those as much with these in, but you’ll hear a lot of sudden noises around you. However, paired with whatever you’re listening to, these create a great uninterrupted experience. I love them.
