Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent noise cancellation and comfortable fit of the QuietComfort® 20i Headphones (iOS). Many also praise the headphones' sound quality, particularly the bass response. However, some customers find the price to be high and the cord length somewhat short. A few users also point out compatibility limitations with certain devices.

Would be nice if it can reduce noise so people won't hear noise where you're at. It only helps you to hear better in a noisy area.

Very expensive for what you get. Noise canceling is good but taking calls is a real issue. Conversations are broken up, etc. Looking to return it.

    Best Sound Cancelling Tech EVER

    Posted .

These are the absolute BEST sound canceling technology EVER - and I have owned 2 previous Bose QC models (see below) - I wanted less bulky ear buds this time to increase comfort (I am on phone calls and/or blocking out background noise ALL day long) and I listed to audio books at night and falling asleep with headphones on is not so comfortable. These ear buds block out more background sounds than any other model I have had before!! Not just white noise/airplane type noise, these even block people talking, TV, etc. I was slightly concerned about the inline "brick" which holds the sound canceling circuitry. Since I am a heavy user - some Velcro or clear packing tape attaching the brick to my case works well to keep it from jerking around but the quality of the technology FAR out weigh my concerns, I am DELIGHTED!! Just be sure to always get the 2 year service plan!! (for any headphones really - wires can break, accidents happen). Background experience with previous models: Frequent air travel prompted me to purchase the Bose QC 25 (over ear) 4 years ago. They worked well for blocking white noises such as plane engines but only slightly dimmed background office noises. Then I upgraded to on ear QC3 headphones which were just as good and didn't pinch around my ears/glasses like the over ear headphones did. The only complaint on both models is the detachable cord always snagged on things and ripped out of either end and the cord would wear and break or short out - replacements are around $30. Recently my QC3's broke in an accident - I ALWAYS purchase the service plan at Best Buy for headphones or anything mobile - So I replaced them with the ear buds and am VERY happy!

    Poor Workmanship

The sound is great but after two years use, the buds separated and the inside fell out hanging by wires. Tried to glue back together separated again. Ridiculous to spend this kind of money on a product that does not have a good workmanship. Bose only offers a one-year warranty, so offers only a replacement for $199. Still too much for a poor quality product

The headphones were comfortable and convenient like the sportsound ones. Although, they came with a clunky battery like pack at the bottom. The pack was to turn on/off the noise canceling. The block made the headphones foo inconvenient overall.

I have several other Bose products and I love those so I really wanted to like this set. Here are my issues: It doesn't cancel enough noise - it does a fair job of eliminated some white noise...that's it. people talking around you are still audible enough to make out conversations. The battery pack is inconvenient - enough said Aware mode - doesn't work well enough to justify existing But the MAIN reason I took it back is this annoying scream every time the ear bud would get pressure on it. this screaming sound occurred whenever you adjusted the headset (often) and was loud enough that you could hear it without the headset in your ear so you could imagine how annoying / painful it is in your ear. Not worth the $300 gamble Took them back for the new Soundtrue inear ones.

Purchased these to replace an aging pair, after trying my Airpods, but those failed to maintain connectivity. My Corporate video/audio conference solution is Circuit (Unify Solutions) and the Bose headset, while it would connect, kept dropping. Ended up returning the headset.
