Although we purchased the lower-priced Bose soundbar, it was the best-sounding system for the price. We've purchased various Bose systems and have always been pleased.

I went to BB to buy the Sonos Arc Ultra but they were out of stock. I talked with salesperson and ended up with the Bose Smart Ultra soundbar and the Bose 500 sub. Both were on sale at a great price and not much more money than the Arc Ultra by itself. Hooked everything up and it sounded great. Streaming music, movies, regular TV, it all sounded good. The problem with it is I had to do a hard reset on the soundbar multiple times after it had been off for a while like overnight. The sub would come up and I'd have sound from it but nothing from the soundbar. I searched the internet and found it is a common issue with this soundbar. I returned it and got the Sonos Arc Ultra. No problems with it so far.
Hi David, I'm sorry to hear you returned your Smart Ultra Soundbar and Bass Module 500, though you were happy with the sound. A lack of audio from the soundbar can have various causes, and isn't necessarily an indicator that the soundbar is faulty. Bose- Smart Ultra Soundbar with Dolby Atmos

I am a fan of Bose sound system. This soundbar does not sound well without the other surround sound speakers and subwoofer. I thought this is enough to add to my tv, but I was wrong. I am a little disappointed because I must buy the other speakers to make the sound in my tv so much better.
