All of the device codes for different product came with the setup manual. The code book was awesome but the remote setup had flaws and didn’t work as it should on 2 of the main buttons. I assume the board inside the remote control was defective. I know this BOSE Soundbar is only to be used as a center speaker only which this is what is was designed for. The words clarity was good even though my hearing isn’t the best from working in a high decibel job for 14 years. Nobody in my family was impressed the least bit. I installed this in a smaller room so the sound should have been better. I disconnected the Soundbar and packed it back up and returned it to Best Buy from disappointment. The sales rep inside Best Buy tried to change my mind from purchasing this Soundbar and he suggested that I step up too the next Soundbar up BOSE Soundbar 500 with Alexia which was an additional $300 more than this BOSE Solo 5 Soundbar. I don’t use Alexia in my home and I only wanted this Soundbar for a small room. Man! I should have listened to the sales rep but after reviewing Soundbars for a couple months I was certain that the BOSE Solo 5 would have been perfect for our needs. I wouldn’t recommend spending $179 or $199 for this Soundbar. Even if the remote wouldn’t have been defective, I still would have returned it to the store. I have purchased many different BOSE products and speakers in the past 20 years and I am surprised that BOSE put this on the market. It’s weak and the only two small speakers in this Soundbar was a joke. First bad experience with a BOSE product.

You are correct in stating that the Solo 5 has two drivers, this coupled with our Videostage and TrueSpace technologies deliver many of the benefits of a five-speaker home theater in a single soundbar. The porting and digital signal processing help deliver the clarity and deep bass that you expect from Bose. Dialogue mode will also help make voices more distinct and understandable, you can access this by pressing the speach bubble icon under 'Bass' on the remote control. Thanks! However in march I began to experience crackling in the sound as the volume was turned up. These things happen sometimes, so I sent it into Bose to have it serviced. In their defense they handled that great however when I received it back the problem was not fixed. I had to send it back to then AGAIN. Now I usually put Bose as one of the more quality and trustworthy sound companies so this purchase was a bit of a let down. Since the second repair it has been working well again. For Bose sake, I hope my experience was a fluke
