Purchased less than a year ago. Sounded great when it worked. Then it occasionally would not turn on with the TV which required taking it off the wall, unplugging it, then plugging it back in to get it to work again. Very annoying! Over time it quit working more and more frequently. Today it quit working altogether.
Very frustrated that I paid $250.00 for this thing and it completely failed in less than a year!

Love Bose products, but very disappointed in this one. Sound was not good at all and couldn't connect via Bluetooth on our Samsung, which we were told in the store that it would. Returned the next day.

This sound bar is pretty horrible yes the sounds clear that’s about it. I exchanged it for a Sony bar that came with a slim subwoofer way better.

the levels capped by a factory setting and cannot be adjusted. very disappointed that this soundbar does not provide the sound so many other bose devices can. i get more base from my headphones.

We purchased this because my husband has trouble hearing the tv. It didn’t help. Our new smart tv has a great sound without a sound bar. We returned the sound bar since there was not a great difference in the sound.

To provide some clarification, the Solo 5's "Dialogue Mode" can be enabled by tapping the speech bubble button below the BASS button on the remote. The solid green LED on the soundbar will turn to a solid amber. Bass will be decreased so that voices are clearer.

Purchased it to get greater volume since my new Samsung Smart T.V. releases the volume down toward the base it sits on. I was very disappointed that it really wasn't much better than what I had originally.
Should have bought Wireless earphones.

I can not get decent sound out of it.

It brings the voice forward which is good. But can not get good sound out of it, Voices are sounding like "muffled". Tried many times to adjust the bass but it is the only adjustment and is hard to do and still does not have good sound.
I have a LG OELD 54 in and it does not have good sign so thought this would help and voice is better. Geek people said it may be because I watch a lot of the older recorded programs but I have a 10 year old Sony 44 in and can get better sound on it with only tv speakers. also must use 2 remotes does not totally set up with dish.

The first 9 months were great then one day it started to get fuzzy and crackly. Now every day it sounds like static through the speaker. Sooo annoying. Need to find a new one.

As someone who has spent of to of time building homes and putting tech in my homes and others This soundbar is as worthless as can be for the price . BOSE customer support by far the worst ive come across in years Ask anyone. They sell based on a name. Bass quality is garbage . Voice controls are subpar same compliants with all bose Vocals are lower . High limit volume is that of a duck When it reaches max you scratch your heas as to why they wouldnt make it louder

However, for even more volume, we have other products such as Solo 15 II which will put out even more bass and volume while still having a small footprint and Bluetooth for connecting wirelessly. Nice sound but not for the price I paid. I had higher expectations for Bose audio sound. Only thing I liked right out of the box was the size of the sound bar. the audio was a disappointment. Over priced

I bought this unit for my wife for Christmas, but upon hooking it to our 4K television we were sadly unimpressed with the sound quality. Basically it sounded like our television speakers. I double checked the connections, Optical, pretty straightforward connections, but could not produce a sound worthy of keeping. We may have had a bad unit out of the box, but we decided to go with a different manufacturer that was similar priced.
