    Thank you Bose for making your product affordable. I am happy with this "Bose Solo 5-sound bar". I tested your Bluetooth sound system through my favorite jazz music first and its sound amazing as always. I have a few products from you, from the head phone, Bose portable sound link, and now this Bose solo 5 for my flat screen tv. I am quite happy with the quality of Sound from Bose. when it come to Sound, it is only Bose that I trust. I like the design look of this sound bar. It looks modern, slim and sleek and it fit right under my flat screen TV like a custom made piece. And thank you Bose for all the tutorial link of your products. I am a low tech person and found these links very helpful and educational.

    The Samsung tv and speaker are terrible, much to much bass.

      The bass for this system is adjustable, and can be done through the following:
      On the remote control, press the Bass button. The status indicator blinks white three times
      Press + to increase bass /// Press - to decrease bass.
      Press the Bass button to exit the bass adjustment mode. The status indicator blinks white three times and the system saves your settings.
      Alternatively, you could enable the "Dialogue mode" on the soundbar by using the dialogue button on the universal remote, or by holding the Mute button on the 4-button remote until the status indicator blinks orange three times. Dialogue mode reduces bass and enhances voice audio.

    I purchased this item due to the size of the area that it had to be installed in which was under 35 inches. It seemed that every other sound bar I looked at was a minimum of 35.5 to 36 inches wide so my options were very limited. It took me longer to get this item out of the box than it did to get it hooked up and working. I've read several reviews that complain about the difficulty with setup and I have a 43 inch Sony Bravia and it worked as soon as it was power up. The setup could NOT have been any easier. PROS 1. I do like the dialogue option that lets you quickly change the setting when you're watching the news or weather and you need to hear the voices more than the overall sound. 2. When watching movies this little sound bar really puts out some BIG sound. I was really surprised in a good way. Cons The only thing that comes to mind is the fact that you can't add a sub woofer or any other wired or wireless speaker/speakers. However, it is a Bose and I paid less than $250 so that's not really a big surprise considering what I paid. I cheaped out and got a great sounding sound bar but ti's not expandable and I knew that when I bought it so I am not complaining.

    Bose should be embarrassed to put their name on this product. I have it in the Box to return. I have many Bose products and this is by far the worst one I have ever had. Spend more money and buy the upgraded Bose soundbar or a different product all together. Don’t buy this Solo 5 as the TV speakers are better than the sound bar.

    Well my bose solo 5 TV soundbar hasn't worked since I bought it home and configured my system??? The green indicator light was on about 2 days with no sound then it just died. It could be that I made a mistake configuring the system? I have been over how to run the cables to and from each piece of equipment but I have a feeling this isn't good at all.

    The "brochure" is nothing more than a few dozens words instructing how to install the phone. My wife took the Zeiss VR 1 back to Best Buy and talked to the Geek Squad to figure out how it worked. Basically, there was not much to look see at all on the device. She doesn't want it and it was the only thing she asked for, for Christmas. Big disappointment.

    Couldn't figure out hot to get enough volume to comfortably hear this speaker. Checked the reviews and realized its a common complaint and an aged technology. Lowers the quality perspective I have of Bose projects. Would like to have known that information from Best Buy sales rep, when purchasing it.

      Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about our Solo-5 Soundbar! I'm sorry to hear that you were unimpressed by this product, and that you experienced a low volume when using this. I would recommend that you connect to this product in different ways (Bluetooth, Optical Cable, AUX cable etc) to see if your low volume is limited to a single source or cable. If so, I would recommend that you check the EQ or audio settings of those devices to confirm this is not limiting the volume output. I would also recommend that you check the "Dialogue Mode" and "Bass" settings using the remote on the system, as these have different impacts on your overall volume and audio quality.

    hard of hearing thought this would help but not impressed have to use their remote to tun it on then it turns itself off integrating the remote itself is difficult for this geezer and you loose the lighted buttons not what i thought it should be

    For such a long time, I wasn't able to hear a TV conversation, unless I cranked the sound to the max. Bose came up with Sollo 5, which is a little more affordable than the 10 and the 15. I just purchased it, and, I now can enjoy listening and watching this TV of mine. The set-up is 1-2-3, within seconds. Solo 5 is a great alternative to an expensive surround sound and this one works perfectly for me. I always thought that Bose was great, and, it is proven again.
