    Its so bad its not loud enough in my motorhome. Thats not what I bought it for. Sucked in my garage also. I had it awhile before I installed it so I'm stuck with it. So disappointed in a bose product

    I bought this as my second sound bar in a week. I have lots of Bose products in my house so expected the best. I am surprised Bose even put their name on it. It too was returned

    I purchased this Bose sound bar based on the sound quality of a portable Bose speaker and past products, but this is not up to par. It’s not even as good as the under $100 Visio sound bar I was hoping to upgrade from.

    Not expected from Bose such flat low quality sound. Your TV will sound better without it. I have returned it. In the store I listen Sony mp300(?) also small foot print with wireless subwoofer- much better 3d sound for same price

    I've got a Bose Acousticwave and companion 2 systems, and both ROCK, the Solo 5 was a disappointment, the speakers on the TV was 5X louder and cleaner than the Bose 5, in my opinion, select something else if you want to have loud sound

    I got this to use with the TV on my back patio, But even at max volume it’s not enough if there’s any other yard noise. Even the TV volume without it is louder, so I end up not even using the Bose.

    Very disappointed in this sound bar. Couldn’t hear with it despite how loud it sounded in the store when tested. Wound up buying another sound bar so we could enjoy TV. Bose’s quality has slipped in my opinion

    If you want a sound bar that works for at least 6 months (hopefully longer), I suggest selecting another brand. I was in love! But like love, you never know if--or when--it will just stop.

    I was not impressed with the sound quality when I got it home. It sounded awesome in the store. I'm glad I bought a 2.1 sound bar system instead.

    The quality of sound is terrible. Not nearly worth what was paid for it. I was so unhappy that I had to return it within a couple days. Quality rivals a bluetooth speaker found at 5 Below. Don't waste your time.

    This system sucked. Tried to take it back the store would not return they had to send it to BOSE then get a call that Bose can not fix it and for Me TO COME PICK UP A NEW ONE. terrible COUSTOMER SERVICE !!

    very poor sound volume. Disappointed is to say the least. For a Bose fan, I will say they have lost it with this one. Retuning to get the Samsung 2.1 system for a better price and by far better sound.

For instance, the source volume (typically the cable/satellite box) would need to be raised to 90% or so of its maximum volume.     Honestly I love Bose but my TV speakers sound the same. The remote control is a brick too and doesn’t pair well with my optimum cable box.
