What a bummer for the price.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely disappointed. Even with my HiFi sub to Tidal these sounded horrible. Bass was only good thing but it muddled the music so badly. Spend a few dollars more and get the Shure Aonic 50. It's what I did and it's night and day difference.

kind of small earpads, sound cuts out
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.they sound alright, honestly after listening to them for awhile now, i like the sony's better. the earpads are kind of small and rub on the back of my ears. the sound drops out kind of often, even with my phone in my pocket or sitting next to me, other bluetooth stuff i have never cuts out until i leave the room. they are 100% plastic and feel slightly flimsy. i worry about them breaking. honestly for the money you can get much better headphones. i'm including a picture with a ruler to give you an impression of size for the earpad.

disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected a product from Bose to have superior sound quality, but I was let down. First of all I bought these instead of the sound proof ones because the sound proofing didn't seem that effective to me and there was a battery needed to activate it - too much hassle. So I got these because they're wireless and that was more appealing to me than noise reduction, since the sound quality of both was about the same anyway. There is little to no bass with these headphones. I mainly use them with spotify, and I have to find the perfect equalizer setting in order to get any semblance of bass without getting a static-y, rattle from the headphones. I get this rattle when the music is too loud, which is surprising considering the brand. They're about the same sound quality as cheap 5 dollar head phones if you don't know how to get the perfect equalizer settings on whatever you're listening to. The microphone is also not that great. Anything louder than a quiet restaurant, and the person I'm talking to simply cannot hear me. The pros of these headphones are few. The voice feedback is very useful and it's nice to be able to switch between two devices. The battery charges quickly and last pretty long too. The aesthetics are also nice (I have the white pair). If I felt like spending that much I would probably switch to the wireless Beats studio headphones, but they're too pricey. I'll just stick with these. Even though I don't love them, I know them well enough to make them work for me.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I won’t lie. They were good for the first few months, but after a while, and I wore them a lot because I used them to travel on buses for sports. After a lot of use, they low-key fell apart, like the ear started ripping off, and then the sound went.

Sharp edge on inside and sound was only so-so
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound was disappointing. I tend to be a fan of BOSE but not these ear phones. I also bought the Beats wireless over ear studio's for side by side comparison and the sound and comfort of the Beats was superior, I returned the Bose and kept the Beats. On the inside of the Bose ear cups is a hard plastic mount and it dug into my ears so it wasn't that comfortable either.

Horrible Sound
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know where all the great reviews are coming from, but pretty much the only things I like about this are the light weight and that it comes with a cable (very rare for headphones nowadays). I wanted to love these, so much so that I traded them in for another pair the first time. The second pair are just as terrible. Sound is tinny and grainy. There is virtually no bass, and the second you hit high ranges it becomes almost screechy. You would think that means mid-range would be ok, but mid is at best grainy. I am super disappointed, because these are the first pair of headphones that don't give me compression headaches. Instead, though, I get a noise headache anytime a song has snare. Not worth it.

meh!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's the name that you're paying for in this particular headset. 40mm drivers cannot give you a real deep bass even though you tune your equalizer. My $69.99 Razer 50mm headset gives a better range. So yah, overpriced for the name and comfortably lightweight, perfect fit. Your call.

Not loud enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought these headphones because I was on the way to the airport and forgot my Bluetooth earbuds. I didn't take lot of time choosing as I had a flight in a couple of hours. I am familiar with Bose and use their noise cancelling headset while I fly my own plane. I ended up in a seat behind the wing so it was a little noisy. I tried to watch a movie but could not hear parts of it on these headphones. I had to borrow my son's wired earbuds in order to hear. They are very comfortable but just would not produce enough volume. Maybe the noise cancelling version would have fixed things.

Posted .Hey sedwards0517,
Thanks for providing your feedback on the SoundLink II wireless headphones. We're sorry to hear that it did not quite work out for your needs. Our noise-cancelling headphones may have worked better here as they can minimize lots of low-frequency sounds but we'll leave that up for you to try. You can also try verifying the volume levels on the headphones, the source device, and the application being used. If there is anything else we can do to help you enjoy your headphones more, please feel free to reach out to us on our Community or by phone.

Sound was decent but not up to Bose standard.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had Bose over the ear noice canceling, one the ear wireless, two sets of the in the ear wired and one set of the wireless in the ear HR models. I've loved them all except for the Soundlink 2 AE Wireless ones. The fit was fine, lighter then my older on then ear model, but the quality of the sound was lacking. While watching a movie I could hear a lot more of the slightest background noises with my on the ear model. Just not the quality I've come to expect from Bose so I returned them and will wait for the next version to come out.

Very clear and durable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had these for over a year now with no problems or deterioration. Battery life is amazing and the sound is everything I’ve come to expect from Bose. I intended to buy the noise cancelling, but listened to these in the store and saved myself 100 bucks. No regrets on that, either. I still have an old pair of Bluetooth Bose ( the ones with the dangle) but have difficulty finding operating systems that will pair with them. Even the Bose app doesn’t recognize them! I can ditch the dangler and still use a cord with them, though, and they still sound great.

Posted .Hi, Greg.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your SoundLink Around-Ear Headphones II. We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying their incredible sound quality and battery life!
Just to provide some clarification, the original version of the SoundLink Around-Ear that you are referring to was built before we developed the Bose Connect app. This is why the app is not recognizing your headphones with the separate Bluetooth module.
If you have any questions regarding either pair, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at 1-800-367-4008 for further assistance. They are available M-F 9 AM to 9 PM Eastern. Thank you, and have a great day!

dissapointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a fan of Bose products for long time, owned many speakers, but never a pair of headphones. This time wanted to invest in a good set of headphones, and was pretty disappointed. Headphones looked great, felt comfortably, sound was amazing, but the pairing, Bluetooth experience was terrible. They work great with an iPhone paired up, but then the problems started with pairing with my home computer (dell), signal started breaking up and skipping. Updated the firmware and problems continued. I could never get it to work for 2 devices paired at the same time. Then when I connected it to my work computer (lenovo), the noise and signal skipping was even worse, I could not even go to the printer 20ft away without losing signal. I was going to use these mostly at the office, so had to return them after 2 days, because never got the signal to work. Tried pairing to one device at a time, reset the connection multiple times, no solution. No sure if it was a defect, but hard to believe Bose made a product with so many signal flaws.

Low quality for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these to replace my wireless beats. First off, the sound is no where near the quality of the beats. Second, within two weeks and they are showing signs of wear. The inner lining has come off and it looks like the glue they use is of very low quality. I'm dissapointed with bose, I have had several Bose items in the past and this one did not live up to their reputation or quality.

Nope
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these for a road trip and I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. It’s rated so high, and the brand reputation is such, that I thought it was a home run………. Until I put them on the head. Uncomfortable, rather cheap feeling, and terrible sound. Physically hurt my ears, phone conversation was terrible on my end, and the bass was distorted. Literally took to the next BestBuy I came to. Unsure of battery life as I owned them an hour.

Not for Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After purchasing a set of Bose speakers for my Mac, I decided to get a pair of these headphones. I was very impressed with the sound and build quality of their products after testing the desktop speakers. Unfortunately, These headphones are horrible when used on a Mac. The sound volume is very weak at full volume, and the sound quality is on par with a $20.00 set of headphones. I found out after much looking around on the internet, that it is because these do not support high quality codecs on a Mac. I read other people's complaints, but I figured they didn't troubleshoot the issue correctly. Bose should state that these are NOT recommended for a Mac. There is no excuse.

Frequently get static during calls. WAY overprice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the money, I am not seeing the value. I frequently get static during calls and need to change to speaker then back to headphones. During 1 hour phone call, this will happen 4 - 6 times. Headphones are not usable when charging. Doesn't work well using wired link. Way over-priced!!!

Troubles with Phone Calls
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sound quality- but I’ve had nothing but problems with it. People can’t hear me on phone calls. Believe me- I’ve done all the troubleshooting steps. I’ve looked online and lots of people have the same problem with Bose. I got too excited and threw away the packaging. If I hadn’t, I’d be exchanging these for another brand.

Not a great set of headphones for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought that these would be good headphones because they are Bose. Though I was wrong, the sound was horrible. Even turned all the way up it’s not that loud or great. Would recommend trying out other options before throwing money down on this set. I took them back.

Cheaply Made
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised by the poor quality of the make of these headphones. They’re made of cheap plastic. The ear cushions are thin and poorly padded. The sound quality is adequate but I’m returning them because they’ll likely not last.
