I recently got the Revolve+ II less than a week ago and boy, I should've saved my money. This whole speaker is a huge disappointment from start to finish. When I first bought it, I was happy to have another Bose portable speaker. My first one I had was far ahead of its time, so I was excited to get my hands on a new model 12 years later. Initially, I enjoyed it but that was pure brand blindness. I was so blinded by it being a Bose, that I didn't realize how bad it was until I really started taking a closer look at it. To start off, I was expecting for this speaker to work in the Bose App as every other product I own from Bose does. It does not. Wasn't too upset about this initially, but when I wanted to I customize my sound and add more bass, that's when I missed it. Which leads me to my next point, it has virtually no bass at all. Normally this wouldn't be a problem if I could adjust a setting to add more but nope, can't do that. Moving past the lackluster bass, the sound doesn't have that Bose touch that's become a sort of midas touch, if you will. When I think Bose, I think crisp and clear audio balanced and engineered perfectly. While it still sounds nice, it's not "Bose nice." Before this, I had a JBL Charge 4 and it doesn't blow the Revolve+ II out of the water, but it is better; if nothing else the fact that it actually has nice bass puts it above the Revolve+ II. In my mind, there's no reason why I should even be comparing JBL to Bose. So just as I'm thinking that it was time to say goodbye to the Revolve+ II I think, "Wait! I can use it to group up with my Smart Speaker 500! That'll be cool!" And it was! You can actually kinda customize the group sounds in the app and how loud each speaker is individually. However, grouping them up that one time was the worst mistake I made and it's the reason I'll be returning my Revolve + II. Every. Single. Time. I turn the Revolve on, it automatically groups up with my Smart Speaker 500. The best part is, there's no way to un-group them in the app. So I have to go into the app and un-group them every time I power my speaker on. To be fair, there are a couple things this speaker does well. Pros: -speaker and phone connection is instantaneous when powered on. -the buttons are inside crevices and there are raised indentations on one of the buttons, that really helps in the dark. -they included a handle. This makes it much easier to carry. -the handle isn't a hard rigid material, it's like a stiff mesh rope. I didn't think I'd like it but they do it well. -the speaker can get really loud if you want it to. -it has an auxiliary port, a rare find these days. -being able to group it with another Bose is cool for the first time you use it. However it's shortcomings far outweigh its strengths. -very user unfriendly (no app control, and contestant grouping to another speaker every time it's turned on) -sound quality is decent but definitely not up to par with the Bose brand, in my opinion. -no decent bass, borderline none at all. -the top of the speaker's material feels cheap. I get that it's supposed to withstand impact better, but that kinda leads me to my next point... -it's easy to tip over. The way it's designed causes it to be top heavy. They've done their best with weighing down the bottom, but it's still easy to accidentally tip it over. Which leads me to my next point... -it's a relatively heavy speaker. I mean it's not gonna weigh you down if you pack it up in a bag of some sort but I wouldn't feel comfortable carrying it by hand without using the handle. - I personally am not a fan of the design. The whole 360° sound thing seems like more of a gimmick than a selling point. In my opinion, it causes some of the sound clarity and crispness to be lost. -it still uses a micro-USB rather than a type C. I know this one is more subjective but I feel like when I pay for a Bose, I should get cutting edge technology. Micro-USB is starting to fade out, so it feels old. -there's no kind of splash protection around the charging port or auxiliary port. I know that doesn't necessarily go with Bose's design style of sleek and smooth, but I feel like it'd be a nice touch. I can't speak for everyone but I like to use my Bluetooth speakers for when I shower. It doesn't put my mind at ease knowing there's no type of water guard on the charging port. I know better than to actually put it in the shower with me but with all that steam in the air, over time that may cause problems that'll occur coincidentally just outside the warranty dates. Relatively minor thing, but that's what I pay a premium for: the minor things. -my final and biggest complaint is that it's overpriced. This doesn't feel like a Bose product, but my wallet definitely felt it. Why would I spend $350 on a speaker when it has this many shortcomings? That was one of my complaints with the Smart Speaker 500, was that I felt like I was paying for a name. It was worth it for the Smart Speaker 500, but it's not even close for the Revolve+ II. I can get better sound and better element protection from a $150 speaker over this $350 speaker. In conclusion, if you're reading this, just don't buy it. Save yourself the time and money and go get something else, you'll thank me later. However, I am going to give Bose another shot at redemption. I'll be promptly returning this and getting the Portable Smart Speaker for about $80 more. I'll be sure to review that as well.

Fantastic speaker! The Bass, the acoustics, the treble, the sound levels are really high quality and it makes music - instruments and voices sound amazing. The cylindrical structure of the speaker spreads the sound waves evenly - no matter where you place it. I’m a 34 year old that loves portable speakers. From ghettoblasters to a compact cd/cassette boombox to portable Bluetooth speakers - I know a lot about radios / speakers / receivers. This one is special for its sound quality alone. BOSE really made a good one here. The handle is good. The battery life is very reasonable. Connect from your phone/ laptop/ pad through Bluetooth or plug in through an AUX input. Yes - this thing still has an AUX input. Although not used by many - to those who use it daily find it invaluable. This will probably be the last model to have that feature. Great speaker! Worth every dollar!!

The design is simple and sleek. The size is oerfect for a room or garage. Although a bit heavier still perfect for a small setting like my offive but still good enough for a little backyard cookout. Super easy connectivity and user friendly.

Had been wanting to get this for a while and glad I did. The setup was easy and quick. The sound is great. Being able to carry it around where ever I am going another positive. Battery life has been excellent! Only negative that I have figured out yet is that it will switch over to and turn on surround sound.

This speaker is amazing. It sounds tremendous and is easy to carry around. The sound is exceptional for its size! The battery lasts much longer than other brands I have owned. It was so easy to set up and use right out of the box. This speaker adds to the BOSE reputation of quality. It is more expensive than some, but worth it by far.

This speaker was by far better than any of the Bose speakers currently on the market, I listened to each of them, and this one had better bass and very clear sound. I also linked it to my TV (blue tooth) and use it as a home theater system. I am now going to buy another one and link them together.

This little speaker absolutely rocks! The sound and volume are amazing. The bass, mid-tones and upper range. That bass will shake the little table I place it on when I have it sitting beside me and paired up with my tablet while streaming movies and TV shows. Yet it can be soft and subtle when you just want to listen to some background music from across the room. I can't praise it highly enough. You must download the Bose Music app on your device and run it to pair this speaker with your device initially. After that, simply turn on your devices Bluetooth and then turn on the speaker's power button and they will automatically find each other.

So far so good! There haven’t been many major issues which is why I gave it 4 stars. However, there have been a couple hiccups here and there. First, the connection between my phone and the speaker occasionally causes skips in the music despite there being both Wi-Fi and very few items connected to my WiFi. Second, despite not being completely drained of power the speaker will occasionally say it needs to be charged and refuses to play music when this occurs until it is connected to its charger for several mins or so. Lastly, the battery life is pretty good but I hope it was slightly better. Overall I’ve enjoyed the amazing sound quality and clarity it boasts and how it has the ability to fill my place with the music my insatiable palette requires. All-in-all a good buy in my opinion

    Best-sounding speaker in its class

For me, sound quality was the #1 factor in deciding on a portable bluetooth speaker, and the Revolve+ to my ears is easily the best in its category. There's a nice "separation" of sound (forgive my lack of audiophile vocabulary) so music sounds layered and not muddy, as I've encountered in other portable speakers. The sound is just well-balanced; bass is impressive for the size of speaker, but not overwhelming. The 360-degree audio is a surprisingly cool feature. I can move around and be anywhere in a room and it sounds great from any angle. The controls are simple, intuitive and nice to the touch. The whole unit feels solid and well-made. I was reluctant to spend this much on a portable speaker, and there are arguably "better value" speakers out there. However, you won't find a comparable one with better sound quality, so if that's your priority, I strongly recommend the Revolve+.

Sounds great for its size. Bose sounds so much better than bigger size speakers. Using it outsice with a mesh sometimes cuts out while using I Heart radio but not too bad. Only short interuptions.
