I have two sets of Bose home theatre setups in my house, computer speakers with a subwoofer, wired headphones, a bluetooth soundlink I use for outdoor audio and Bose Audio in my Cadillac CTS. Needless to say I was extremely excited when Bose finally launched their bluetooth sport headphones, because I really enjoy the Bose sound and quality. I am an avid runner and buy a new set of wireless headphones every 6-12 months as improvements come out in the market. I went for a run no less than 20 minutes after unboxing these new headphones, as I couldn't wait to try them out. I was amazed at the great sound and the fit felt really good. However, I am disappointed to report that after about 30 minutes into my first run and after some moderate sweat, the headphones made a beeping noise and then turned off. However they continued to make a weird crackling noise, even after turned off. They wouldn't turn back on after that. I returned them to Best Buy and exchanged for a new set. I had the EXACT same problem with a new set the next day after running for about 30 minutes. I really expected more from Bose and am extremely disappointed that sport headphones cannot make it through 30 minutes of running without breaking. I can understand not being waterproof, but a sport headphone should be able to withstand some sweat. I have never had this problem with the dozen different bluetooth headsets I have used with other brands. I hope the next line Bose releases is better built. We will see if I give them another try for sport headphones in the future as I am skeptical now. I doubt this was only me having this problem, I am surprised they are still on shelves and Bose isn't doing a massive recall. Please do better on your next line Bose, you are better than this!

Posted .For the majority of customers, the SoundSport wireless is delivering on its promise – it’s a headphone that’s stable and comfortable, sweat and weather resistant, with amazing sound. But, like you, a small percentage of owners have experienced a problem, and that’s not okay.
We’ve taken every headphone returned to us and analyzed them in our labs to get to the bottom of the issue. We discovered SoundSport wireless doesn't perform like it should under specific conditions related to heavy sweat and moisture. And we now have a solution to make it work just as well in these situations, too.
Going forward, every SoundSport wireless will include this update, and they’ll be ready by the end of August if you’re interested in trying them again. Love the sound. Microphone too sensitive.

Everyone complains Scott background noise which may be that microphone rubbing against my shirt. I don't use it for calls a anymore, but great for music.

Bose.. not what they use to be

The last two pairs start getting static after 6 - 9 months. I use them while running/working out. When they work they sound great. Just disappointing that they don’t hold up. I buy the two year replacement insurance.

I have tried the other Bose headphones and these were by far the best ones that came close to the sound quality I was looking for, considering they are wireless also! I tried different wireless brands and they were not great, I had to return them due to low sound quality or one ear being louder than the other. I purchased these the first day they came out and instantly fell in love with them! I really loved these headphones, until they started to die on me after the second week of usage. I fully charged them and an hour into my workout, they'd be dead. Sometimes, less than that and the headphones would say "80% battery life". I may have purchased a defective set, but I recently read many having similar problems. I contacted Bose and tried everything they said before finally going back to Best Buy to exchange them to only find out they are back ordered. I'll be waiting for the new and improved! Maybe then, I can give these headphones 5 stars.

Going forward, every SoundSport wireless headphone will include this update, and they'll be ready by the end of August.
