I listen to audible books so this doesn't lend itself to being out in public. That said, I enjoy the sound of the speaker and to listen to music is enjoyable. I use it while cleaning the house. It takes a shift in thinking about wearing speakers on your collar bones but it is comfortable enough. I would take it out hiking or walking in the country, it may have to be padded to use on a run. It is good for not messing up your hair style.

I work in a quiet government office. Customers always complain it's "too quiet" and that we need some music or something. Well little do they know I've got music in my ears all day. You can turn these down enough to listen to your favorite songs without anyone else around you hearing it (co-workers are therefore not disturbed if they don't appreciate my music). I can't wear headphones because I need to answer phone calls and help walk-in customers. This is the perfect hybrid because the speakers hang around your neck. I can still hear the phone ring and answer it, talk to customers, and walk around the office filing paperwork without a cord tethering me to my phone or desk. It's definitely a niche item. I wouldn't recommend it if you work outside as they don't compete with that kind of noise. I also wouldn't wear it while driving because I suspect it could cause some neck injuries if you get into an accident. But if you work in an office or want to listen to music while doing chores around the house and still want to be able to hear the kiddos or the door bell, this is the thing to buy. By the way, it gets super loud so I wouldn't turn it up to max. While it may not be too loud for people around you, it's close to your ear drums so the volume is much louder to the person wearing them.

While this is of course a bit pricey as it is BOSE, it is an impressive little toy. I say “toy” because what it does will not appeal to everyone. It effectively places your head in a sphere of sound that is crystal clear. It has a surprising amount of low end for its size which you can actually feel. It is certainly not a replacement for headphones but it is a great product for being able to enjoy your music and still be aware of your surroundings.

Functionally speaking it has one thing that is awesome, it can connect to two devices at a given time making the switch of devices seamless.. use on one device and just start using on the other one without having to disconnect from the 1st one. Sound is great and at the right volume It doesn’t bother anyone within its surroundings Super worth the price

Im not a loud to wear headphones at work, so i had to improvise and purchase a sound device that is not warn on the head, per Osha. So in a very loud factory, these wireless speakers work great. I can listen to books, YouTube, pandora, and other media sounds as the speaker sits very comfortably around my kneck. The convenient buttons on the side of the speaker and very helpful since i have to turn it on or off or adjust the volume. I can go quite a distance away from my phone, and still get reception clearly. This item was totally worth the money.

My husband wanted I had never even heard of wearable speaker. We own a lawn business perfect .... sweat prof... great sound while not blocking your ears in case a customer speaks to you. And you can talk on your phone while working hands free. I read many reviews and hands down Bose was on top. Was the most expensive one but it’s very flexible and durable and will last. Of course the sound is amazing.

A Fun Form Factor of Sound

I must admit that I wasn’t sold on the form factor, but after trying them on at a local store, I was intrigued by the sound quality. These aren’t the highest of sound fidelity, but of a free form of personal listening experience and great sound quality. I purchased them for $150 while on sale which truly was the compelling reason for me caving in. I have several hi-fi cans and speakers, but these are simply pure casual which I enjoy and fun to use. At night while my spouse is asleep, I enjoy watching TV, but always worried of waking my spouse up with noice. Not anymore! I enjoy amazing sound quality without waking her up and I don’t sacrifice audio quality. There are times I don’t want to use headphones while I’m working on a project or blare the three Soundtouch devices I have, but would rather casually listen to music while getting work or chores done. It is here where these stand out. You can still hear your surroundings and have conversation while enjoying above average speakers that lay around your neck. For as small as the speakers are, these things sound awesome and I’m sure there are many other ways fans are enjoying their set. Bose is on to something here and if they upgrade them to eventually add surround sound, I’m sure I’ll be donating to Bose again. After having used them for a couple of weeks now, I wish I would have purchased them when I first sampled them. The price I purchased them sealed the deal.

Over your shoulders and sounds like headphones, this is what most have been looking for instead of over the neck or wireless buds that drop and get lost. This has sound quality that challenges high quality audio for sure, and for the price and quality it is pretty decent. If these were on sale before I would have saved so much money over headphones and buds and wireless audio. It's worth it

Play your favorite music without clumsy wire and where you cannot put your headset on. Great: Comfortable design even laid back on the crouch. Connect to two devices and you can switch on the fly. Good sound. Good speakerphone Not so great: Don't think it's totally private. Noticeable lag when watching videos and playing games. External headphones output should be added Conclusion: You will definitely love it if you use speakerphone a lot, and you will appreciate how great the sound when playing music. It's not recommended if you use it solely for watching videos

This is my favourite toy in the world. The sound is clean and perfect. It rests lightly on your shoulders. Can't really use it in public much or for working out, but if you're at home and don't want to tune out with headphones it is awesome. Seriously great product. Everyone I show it to marvels at it. and when they cut the price in half - no question. if you try it, you'll buy it.

I bought a pair of neckband headphones from Amazon and I enjoyed them, then saw these online. I decided to give them a try and so glad I did. They're amazing! Sound great, are super comfortable, and easy to use especially if you download the Bose app. I use them everyday, either at my desk at work or when I watch my Netflix at home. Game changer! Btw - I returned the other ones from Amazon.

It’s been almost a year with these and they are great! You dont even know your wearing them. The sound is typical Bose. The sound does bleed out some, but a majority of the sound is focused at your ears. I do wish that the speakers were a little closer to my ears. Wearing them has the advantage of being able to hear what is going on around you.

I'm on the phone a LOT. This makes it sooo much easier! The sound is better than my phone (both in and out). You still have two hands to type and no wedging the phone between your cheek and your shoulder! Battery life easily runs the course of a day unless you're listening to music constantly. This is a must have for anyone who cold calls or otherwise spends a lot of time on the phone.

At first I didn't know what to expect but the rubber ear piece on my ear buds was making my left ear sore and red. I think maybe an allergic reaction to the rubber maybe? Anyway, at a low volume I can hear my music and it sounds loud to me, but to people around me, they can barely hear anything. I love these things! So comfortable you won't notice you even have them on.

For a person that does not like plugs in his ears this is a fantastic device that creates amazing sounds. Obviously it is not made to be used in public spaces, but I use it around the house, in the car, and as a conference device. Everyone that has tried it has liked it. only problem that it is bulky and the cases quite large, so it takes up quite a bit of space in your bags.

These have been great they connect bluetooth, and I just put them over my shoulders and can go outside and do things around the house, even cut grass and can hear them just fine. I've even used them as a speaker if were just sitting around and play music that way. I wish you could change songs from them, but I have been skipping songs from my phone.

I recently purchased the SoundWear speaker to wear when I rode my bicycle or walk the dogs so I can still hear my surroundings. They get the job done, but don’t expect to be blown away by incredible sound with lots of bass or low end you might expect with the Bose brand. The sound is average, at best, and doesn’t provide a lot of low end. For a lot of people, this is good enough. For me, it was a bit lacking but I can live with it since I don’t really crank them up. The other issue is that the unit wouldn’t turn on or charge out of the box. I had to do some research online then discovered that I had to hook them up to a computer and upgrade the firmware. It wasn’t hard to do, but to someone that isn’t tech-savvy, it may be asking a lot. It shouldn’t be an issue with it every product but just in case you are unlucky enough to purchase one that has this issue, that is how to get around it. Once the firmware was upgraded, they worked fine with no issues. The battery life is really good and can last a long time, depending on your usage. The only other downside is the limited number of situations where these would come in handy over some good headphones. For me, it’s mainly situations where I need to be able to hear my surroundings, as mentioned above. Wearing these in a car or public place may disturb others. I think they are a bit overpriced and we are just paying for the Bose name. If you have a practical application for these, you will like them. If you don’t, you may lose interest in them and would be better off with a good pair of wireless headphones.

Finally found the headset/speakers to wear around my neck. Absolutely pleased with this and all Bose produced I have ever purchased. No problem with length of battery. Had tried a LG with ear buds and speakers. The volume was quite poor. The Bose has excellent volume and volume control. Excellent product and very much worth the additional expense.
