I dont feel comfortable wearing ear buds or headsets because i dont like to restrict my hearing to miss warning sounds or be isolated from being alert. Thiis is the answer to that. Comfortable to wear and descent sounding.

I saw this item one time when I was in my local Best Buy and it was on display where you could try it out. I loved it, but not $300 worth. Then one day I got an e-mail from Bose that they had them on sale 50% off. I thought "I wonder if Best Buy has them for that too". Looked on the web site and Yup they did, so I went back and picked one up. I wear it all the time when I go for my daily walks and like it a lot better than wearing headphones. It's comfortable and the sound is great. I don't understand having to use that Bose Connect app to connect it. But it sure made it simple. Maybe could have not used that and just went into Bluetooth and connected it, don't know, didn't try it that way. I really like this thing and my headphones will now only get used when I need to be completely quiet, like in a room with other people.

I bought this primarily for a hands free bluetooth device for my phone while driving. I can't wear earpieces for long periods of time without discomfort. This device remedies that problem and is crystal clear. A great device that keeps you out of trouble.

Listening to music is not straightforward. Songs just feel different when you listen to them in earbuds vs a large speaker. This wearable speaker straddles between those worlds. Think sitting in front of two speakers that are aimed at each ear. The down side is if you turn your head you increase the distance between one of your ears and your shoulder.....which makes the sound fade in and out. The best way to enjoy these would be sitting still. As long as your head remains fairly stationary the sound is consistent and clear. It is a little odd using them around other people as they hear your wearable at a significantly lower, but very noticeable volume.

I bought one of these, thought about it for a few days, returned it to the store unopened, waited a couple weeks, and then bought another one. After a few days, I opened it and gave a listen. Two quick things: 1) The Bose SoundWear sounds great. It’s not going to blow you out of the room or make you go deaf, but somehow the tiny speakers pack a punch, and the clarity is excellent. 2) It’s the best device I’ve found for making and receiving phone calls. I work from home, and I’m able to listen to music and then shift effortlessly into crystal-clear calls. It’s way clearer than my iPhone X, and without speaking loudly my voice comes across as deep and rich. I didn’t think I would use it as much as I do, but it’s my constant companion during office hours. I wouldn’t wear it in public, since people around you can hear everything (just at a lower volume), but it’s perfect for my home office needs.

Got it as my daughters gift for Xmas. Great sound clarity I’ve heard for a while.

Got this as a gift for my hubby. He uses it while driving to talk on the phone. He is able to hear the caller clearly. He also uses it to hear videos on his tablet and volume is not turned up on blast because the speakers are near his ears.

I bought these for my husband, he loves them. He wears them on his morning walk/jog; and during the day at his desk. The sound is wonderful and the speaker is light around his neck and he can still hear oncoming traffic and people around him.

I was hesitant at first but these really come in handy for listening around the house with having to wear headphones. They enable you to hear whats going on around you. The sound is surprisingly good. I do wish the sound was slightly more contained so that people around you couldn't hear. Battery life is good.

This speaker is worn around your neck and gets pretty loud when worn, but if you were to just set it down and use as a speaker its not as loud. This neck speaker sounds like over the ear headphones maybe a little louder. Other than that it has great clear sound quality.

I bought for hands free while driving. Background noise to the other party while driving is not the best in my noisy work trucks. Awesome music quality you expect from Bose. Takes some getting used to hanging on your neck. Battery life is good, the lower the volume the longer the battery lasts.

Sound is great and the fit fairly comfortable but the are kinda bulky around the neck and the aren’t quiet to those around you. I couldn’t exercise with them and I couldn’t really power walk with them. As nice as they are I couldn’t find a reason to keep them.

I got this to use at the gym....it is bluetooth and as long as there is an internet connection it can be used. I can hear when people are talking to me on the treadmill , etc.It is comfortable to wear and has a washable cover.

Conveniently stylish speakers with exceptional sound quality, the Bose soundwear checks all of my boxes. Comfortable, durable, great sound quality and a nice clear microphone for calls. This was a good buy.

I purchased these for my husband as a Christmas gift. I fell in love with them at the store, but wasn't so certain he'd love them. He wears them around the house almost all day, and truly loves the sound and freedom from earbuds.

My friend showede these at work. We work in a loud factory. So these where ideal the shoot the sound right into your ears without being in or over your ears. Really a fantastic way to listen to music. Almost as fascinating toe as military jaw Bluetooth technology (sike). But still fantastic for my use. Haven't been able to get used to wearing all shift. It eventually will givee neck pains and headache. But you really shouldn't have this thing on as long as I do when this happens. (12 hour shifts). Update: No longer work in horrible factory. Use them at home to listen to some tunes every now and again and still love it. No more pain or headache.

I've been wearing these shoulder speakers about 80% of the time since I got them. In a very quiet environment, the music or whatever is playing can be heard. It can get very loud, which I like. I also enjoy that I can engage anybody that wants my attention, while the music plays on my shoulders.

I saw an individual on my train wearing this and listening to music. As a sound snob, I was instantly smitten. Not a device for private conversations, because the sound quality and volume are unmatched.

I have to say that when I first received this item, I was a little skeptical on the whole design. After I started thinking, the more I was intrigued by it and the whole design of it. First off, it is really lightweight - which is great since it sits on your shoulders. You can barely tell that they are even sitting there. The whole design is really cool, I have never seen anything like this before. The speaker stays put, it is designed well so it can't fall off even if you are moving around, bending over, etc. It is nice not having to worry about it while using it. Now to get them up and running is really simple, you can pair them easily with your phone or tablet - my husband has a Android and I have a iPhone. Both have been really easy to use with the speaker - since we have both used the SoundWear. The speaker actually talks to you when pairing, states your battery life, and more. I love that it talks to you so you know what is going on with the speaker itself. When my husband and I first started using it we were very surprised with the sound quality. I wasn't expecting the sound to be as loud, so clear, and very crisp. I am very pleased with the quality of music when playing. The great thing is that since you are wearing the speaker you almost FEEL the sound, especially the bass which I absolutely love. We listed to a lot of music that has a lot of bass and this speaker is perfect for that. It has a nice bass boost without affecting the sound quality. We have been using this speaker a ton since we received it and the battery life is amazing. We only need to charge the speaker at night, it then gives us enough battery to use it for the whole next day without needing charged periodically. If you are feeling a little skeptical about the design, we were to - but let me say a few things about it. For myself when I am out walking, on my treadmill, or just cleaning my house I love to listen to music. But keeping earphones in is not comfortable for me, also I need to be able to hear things around me so I don't need earphones blocking my sound. Wearing this makes it so much easier to keep my music on but be hands free. For my husband, he is in the Oilfield and runs a pulling unit. So he has to be aware of his surroundings to protect himself and the guys working under him. He loves listening to music but is not allowed to keep headphones/earphones in because he has to listen around him. Having a speaker doesn't work since his rig is too loud, so wearing this where it's on him & close has been amazing. He is able to listen to his music, but still keep a eye & ear out while working. I have to say that even though I was the biggest skeptic of this SoundWear Speaker, I am a huge fan now. It has exceeded my expectations of the design, sound quality, and overall how it works. So happy with it.

This is great for walking outside where you want to hear your surroundings and your music/podcasts/etc. The sound is incredible. It lasts a long time before you need to recharge it.
