The kids are in love with Botley!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kids are 6 and 8, and like most kids, they’re overly attached to the electronic devices. I am always looking for toys that will engage them with a strong STEM component. They had been asking for a robot and I found this. It was more affordable than some of its competitors and I especially liked that it came with accessories you can use to build obstacles and paths. I really like that this doesn’t require a phone or tablet to work. This is a cute, little robot with a fun personality – it says “hi” as soon as you turn it on. It is brightly colored and says cute phrases. It is a great tool for teaching kids problem solving skills. The remote can be a bit of a challenge because the buttons aren’t labeled, but after a few minutes the kids had it figured out and Botley was rolling all over the house. My kids have been having a lot of fun with Botley the last few days and I’m sure he’ll see a lot more play in the coming months. This is a great STEM toy for kids 5 and up.

Not what we expected
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great concept but it is iffy. It doesn't always follow the inputs you program for it. I can see how kids could get a little frustrated with it. My son loves his little robot but it doesn't work like it should. He spends more time carrying it around.
