Shot video with this on my lens. Was able to maneuver camera so this hood blocked the sun from the lens eye. EXACTLY what I bought this lens hood for!

This tulip hood helps you to control the amount and angles of natural sunlight that comes into your lens affecting the exposure of your picture. Rotates easily so you can make adjustments to control how much light you wish to allow into your exposure. Easy to install and remove. Also helps to protect your lens.

Bower products have been around for quite a while, and are known for consistency. The lens hood is plastic, but doesn't feel cheap. It was a perfect fit, is reversible, and I suspect will give me years of good service. Also, it is priced at less than half of what you might expect to pay for prime brand name - and built just as well.

The tulip hood was easy to put on after a coupe minutes of looking the lens over and figuring it out. The lens cap grips well and keeps dut away from the lens and filter. I would recommend this for somebody who has bought the Nikon D5600 with the 70-300mm kit lens!

I bought this for one of my canon lenses, and love it works great. Easy to put on, and does its job. Its cheap price makes this a no brainer, they also have the non tulip design for those lenses that twist on end.

Great lens hood and cap. Fits my 58mm lens perfectly and the hood was an added bonus.

Works alright. Attaches to camera if you remove the jamb ring. Jamb ring is too thick and it won't fit on the camera, securely, if you do not remove the jamb ring. Without the jamb ring, it tends to lock out at angles that are not optimal (sometimes). It works ok, but not as depicted on the packaging. Not too disappointed as it was cheap, and makes a good hand rest that doesn't block the shots. Your hand will do more to block the sun, but this makes sure you don't take pictures of your hand.

Works fine, does the job. Easy to add and remove from lens. Doesn't take much space in camera bag.

Overall really easy to use and cheap. Very effective for the price, it isn’t your higher grade material but it’s just as good. If it gets the job done effectively and efficiently then it’s ok in my book

Seems to work well enough Feels a little cheap and I have found that the cap it comes with has weakened and doesn't seem to hold in place all the time. Typically not a big deal. For something that wasn't that expensive, it's an alright product. Good for amatures to experiment with.
