These speakers are for my turntable setup and I must say, these rock! Before I received my turntable, I was testing these out with Bluetooth and the sound was pure gold. Even though YouTube has crappy sound quality with a lot of their videos, but these speakers still put on a great show. Once I got my Fluance turntable, these were meant to be together. I love these speakers and I don't regret buying them at all! Worth getting!

I purchased these speakers to act as rear surrounds to blend with the front 685s and center HTM-61 center. Great compliment to my system. Looking to add the B&W sub to complete my 5.2 system. I have these for almost two years now.

These speakers are really amazing. I will be honest and say I bought these with the full intention of trying them against other speakers and then returning them. I have tried 5 other pairs of high end speaker against them, and none can beat them. I truly cannot bring myself to return these for something else. I generally do not buy speakers from stores due to markups that happen along the way. Internet Direct companies generally offer much better bang for your buck as they don't have the overhead cost. They can still make money while putting more money into the speaker and less into advertising.
However, these just do not fall prey to that. They are warm, engaging, open, detailed, and fill the room with sound. I tend to get listener fatigue quite easy, and these have never gave me any grief. They are great for all music, and great for movies as well. They will play quite low, so you don't absolutely need a subwoofer.
To me they are the best overall bargain from B&W. The 607's are tiny, and don't even come close to the 606. The only other one I almost went with are the 707 S2. They are awesome, but not quite worth $400 more than the 606. Money no object I would love to have the 702 or 705, but they are out of my range for now.
Overall, I could not be happier with these speakers. I will be a B&W owner for life now.

A Perfect Bookshelf Speaker

These replaced a pair of Sonos Play 5 Series 2's. There really is not comparison as these are an audiophile speaker and the Play 5's are not, and I am pushing them with a receiver, but across the entire spectrum these have more clarity, definition and bass. I am using these with a Yamaha Rn-803 stereo amp and a Martin Logan sub. They only need the sub for the lower registers, I have then crossed over at 60 Hz. They have such a nice, sparkling treble and smooth mid-range. I've listened to everything from classical to metal, from classic rock to jazz, and they have not disappointed. I do not have them mounted on stands, they sit on shelves that I have around my TV. You can definitely hear the minute details that can be more difficult to hear on average speaker. They are not harsh in any way, especially after break-in. I've got about 30 hours on them now and they sound quite a bit better than straight out of the box. I have them wired with Rocket 11 cabling, I did not bother bi-wiring them as they sound perfectly fine single-wired. A great little investment, able to get a quality set of B & Ws for a relatively economical price. Highly recommended!

These speakers are very nice. Very happy with purchase. Also got the stands for the speakers.
Will purchase the floor model later on. Give some break in time. placement/location of speakers is important. A very clean detailed sound. Very good for both music and movies. I got them in white finish and they give a modern look in the room. Looks really nice to take the front grille off. Little bit expensive but purchased during Bowers and Wilkins holiday sale, so saved a little. Right now I give them 5 stars.

4 1/2 Stars - Strong Audiophile Speakers

These speakers occupy an interesting price point: well above the "budget audiophile" level, but below the $1,500 commanded by KEF LS 50s and other entry mid-level speakers. As such, they are reasonably priced, as they definitely perform above the $500 level but don't quite reach the LS 50s in sound quality.
I have mine connected now to my Pioneer VSX-LX503 as the "Zone 2" speakers for listening to music on the "Pure Direct" setting. I find this to be a nice pairing; some amplifiers can give the speakers a little too much brightness, but the Pioneer works well. I know that these speakers have been replaced by the Anniversary Version 2, and they are supposed to be better, but I have not heard them
Pros: Clarity, Imaging, Separation, "High-end sound"
Cons: Can be too bright at times
If these fit your budget and your sound preferences, they are definitely winners.

This is a very nice sounding speakers. Lots of highs, clear mids, and huge bass when placed near but not close to the wall. Fine details are vivid in the sound even when powered by an average Amp (not high end). Some say this has bright sound. But for me, a space just opens up with this speakers. It is not fatiguing to listen to.

I was going to buy a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 607s, but watched a review online talking about how the 607s were good, but the 606s so were much better, I took a chance! Well, it’s true.
I am so glad I was able to step up to the 606s. I have a restored vintage (1980) Yamaha CR-820 powering them and the system is set up in my 2-1/2 car garage. The clarity is remarkable. I can’t even turn it up to 5, as it is so loud it can be heard at the police station one block away...
I took a chance and bought an open box at Best Buy that was rated excellent. And they were perfect. The only bummer is the box was missing the rubber feet. When I finally got someone from BB on the phone about it, the person basically told me, “you bought an open box, there is nothing we can do.” Wasn’t expecting to hear that. Whatever.

Looking to replace some 35 year old bookshelf speakers I went in with all intentions of getting a pair of Klipsch RP-600M speakers. I have always been a fan of that company and have them on my Home Theater set up in the living room. I went in with an open mind and started listening. Went home and thought about it, went back, listened again and came home with the Bowers and Wilkins. They are connected to a Denon PMA-777 integrated amp in a smaller home office. I had a sub connected with the old speakers but have found I don't need it with these. Maybe in a larger room but they sound great!

These B&W 606's are fantastic. I've got them set up with my onkyo av and sub. In my living room and they really shine. There are good mid, bass and super crisp highs coming from these speakers. Up grade from my B&W 607 which I returned.

I've been a fan of B&W since I upgraded my front towers with 683S2s from my old Klipsch RF3 II towers, which have rotated to being my back surround speakers. Once the 606s came out, my wife and I had a listen. For the sound you get out of these little bad boys, it's incredible! They totally redefine what bookshelf speakers can do for me. We immediately got a pair to replace the klipsch towers. The change of two speakers has really impacted our setup. Everything sounds better from music to movies. I still highly recommend having a sub to cover the low end, but you will not be disappointed with these!

This is my first B&w speakers. I am powering this with my Sonos Amp, the output is awesome. Added a Sonos Sub and that took the overall effect to next level. Expensive but worth it,super happy with the overall performance.
Would have been more happy if the looks were more appealing, it is not bad but I liked the yellow finish.

Wanted to go up to the 706 models but for the price I tried these out first. Liked them so much I ended up buying a second pair for the rears in my 7.1 setup. Using a Marantz 5014. Sound is amazing and bass is surprisingly good

I hooked these up in my
Living room for stereo listening only. For bookshelf speakers they have good lows but they really excel on the mid range and highs. I paired mine with a subwoofer but you probably don’t need to if you don’t want a lot of bass.

Enjoy the speakers. Was running a pair of old Dynaco's. The only problem is you will buy the B&O sub woofer next! B&W are in Abbey Road and in Jaguar's over the years, so they are worth at least a try.

Very nice speakers. Downsized and modernized my speaker system from Bose 901 to these Bowers & Wilkins 600 Series. 6.5 mid bass.
The Bowers & Wilkins give a very pleasant sound. I am considering to add the floor model speakers at some point to have that bigger sound again, but happy w these for now. I bought the stands to put the speakers on, look very nice!
The new Anniversary updated model sound even better, so look forward to that purchase.

My latest pair of B&W speakers and I love them. Wanted to replace my older B&W 610i speakers with a set that provided more clarity and overall performance. The 606 speakers fot the bill and are amazing. I was surprised at their small size but they fill up our great room and more. The clarity and depth is beyond belief...I could not be more pleased.
