Great speakers

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I purchased these speakers to act as rear surrounds to blend with the front 685s and center HTM-61 center. Great compliment to my system. Looking to add the B&W sub to complete my 5.2 system. I have these for almost two years now.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Sound qualityThese speakers are for my turntable setup and I must say, these rock! Before I received my turntable, I was testing these out with Bluetooth and the sound was pure gold. Even though YouTube has crappy sound quality with a lot of their videos, but these speakers still put on a great show. Once I got my Fluance turntable, these were meant to be together. I love these speakers and I don't regret buying them at all! Worth getting!

Nice Speakers.
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This is a very nice sounding speakers. Lots of highs, clear mids, and huge bass when placed near but not close to the wall. Fine details are vivid in the sound even when powered by an average Amp (not high end). Some say this has bright sound. But for me, a space just opens up with this speakers. It is not fatiguing to listen to.

Bowers & Wilkins - Worth a Listen!
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Enjoy the speakers. Was running a pair of old Dynaco's. The only problem is you will buy the B&O sub woofer next! B&W are in Abbey Road and in Jaguar's over the years, so they are worth at least a try.

Wonderful Speakers
|Posted .Pros mentioned:Price, Sound quality, SpaceCons mentioned:LuxuryI would recommend this to a friendThese speakers are really amazing. I will be honest and say I bought these with the full intention of trying them against other speakers and then returning them. I have tried 5 other pairs of high end speaker against them, and none can beat them. I truly cannot bring myself to return these for something else. I generally do not buy speakers from stores due to markups that happen along the way. Internet Direct companies generally offer much better bang for your buck as they don't have the overhead cost. They can still make money while putting more money into the speaker and less into advertising. However, these just do not fall prey to that. They are warm, engaging, open, detailed, and fill the room with sound. I tend to get listener fatigue quite easy, and these have never gave me any grief. They are great for all music, and great for movies as well. They will play quite low, so you don't absolutely need a subwoofer. To me they are the best overall bargain from B&W. The 607's are tiny, and don't even come close to the 606. The only other one I almost went with are the 707 S2. They are awesome, but not quite worth $400 more than the 606. Money no object I would love to have the 702 or 705, but they are out of my range for now. Overall, I could not be happier with these speakers. I will be a B&W owner for life now.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Love them. I’ve had b&w 600’s, 601, and 603’s, A/R 6’s and some other very decent speakers.. I really liked them all. But these are my favorite.

Q: QuestionI own these and I'm wondering am I missing something or can I use bannana plugs on the speakers? If not what is the preferred or best method of connection?
Asked by Gguy.
- A:Answer You can use banana plugs. Due to EU regulations, the home for banana plug is plugged with a plastic cap. To remove this, unscrew the textured binding post but all of the way and you’ll see the plastic cap (red or black) sitting on top. This can be removed with a slim screwdriver, scissor or butterfly knife by wedging it under the lip of the plastic insert and it should pop right out.

Q: QuestionCan I safely screw into the side of 606s? About 2cm from the base and 10cm from the rear. Or can you recommend any wall-mount allowing an 8-degree tilt not requiring a screw? My side-clamp Sonora WB33Cs can't hold the weight/depth of the 606s.
Asked by Rob.
- A:Answer Better placed this on a strong shelf not so close to the wall or stand mount it. This is heavy and if you screw to the sides, well you might degrade its value.

Q: QuestionFollowing up on a previous question...specifically on an amp, how will the 606's pair with a Yamaha RX-Z7?...as I recall it is rated at 140 watts per channel
Asked by dooley9806.
- A:Answer Initially, I hook this up to an old Yamaha Stereo Receiver 200 watts (100 watts per channel) . Sounds good but I cannot turn the volume too high on the Receiver, loud enough for small to medium size rooms. If you connect to your Yamaha just start at very low volume level then up just enough it can handle.

Q: QuestionWith these speakers, I will need about 10 to 20 feet of wire. Should I use 16 gauge or 14 gauge pure copper wire? Which one would be better?
Asked by PJP.
- A:Answer This speaker can be bi wire or bi Amp. Ask a Magnolia tech at Best buy, they sure are knowledgeable and a nice good wire is preferable you'll hear it.

Q: QuestionDo the 600 series bookshelf speakers have holes in the bottom so you can screw them down to the B&W speaker stands. I know the 700 series does as seen in picture attached. Thanks
Asked by Duney.
- A:Answer I don't see any holes for screwing it down to a mount.
