You can put it in eight different inclined positions. What ever you require, to read, watch videos or anything else. Works in portrait or landscape even with it charging and in an Otter defender case and is very stable. Don't know how it would work with regular iPad but should be fine.

It collapses to a very thin shape, fits easily in a purse and works with Mini iPad also, even in vertical position. 8 different heights for angle positioning, weighs next to nothing. Highly recommend.

It really only work best on a flat stable surface. It is cheap plastic and so is not really road worthy anyway. It works fine on a kitchen table though. If it's on sale and you just want something you will leave on a desk or table, grab it. It will work fine. If you want something sturdy to put in a back pack or computer bag, not really sure this is what you want.
