Customers appreciate the TripGrip Car Holder's ease of use, stability, and secure hold of their phones. Many also find the suction cup strong and the price reasonable, with the GPS functionality being a helpful added feature for some. However, some users experienced issues with vibration at higher speeds and a few reported concerns about the size and stickiness of the holder. A small number also mentioned challenges with the arm length and release button.

Good phone holder. Nothing special, but its neck is flexible and easy to change position. It holds tightly for iphone 7 or 8, but Plus may be too bid and heavy.

I recently purchased the Bracketron Trip-Grip Cell Phone Car Mount and I LOVE! I was having a difficult time trying to find a sturdy mount that would fit my iPhone 8+ encased in an Otter Box. The assembly is really easy, it snaps securely together and fastens tightly to your glass windshield. The platform stabilizes the bottom of your phone and the side grips snap in place very tightly! There is also a hollowed out port in between the bottom platform to easily route the charger cord through. Highly recommended for all of the Uber and Lyft drivers out there!

I bought this because of a fair price and use it to hold my Escort Radar Detector. Holds perfectly and stays to windshield as its supposed to. Great item for price and can hold many different things!

We love this phone holder and how durable it is! It is flexible enough to fit all shapes and sizes of phones, we can easily move it around the windshield, move to different vehicles (vacation rentals, etc.) and have yet to have the suction cup let go. The only thing to remember if you park outside is that the sun (UV) will discolor the suction cup so you might want to take it down when parking in summer heat for long periods.

Since I started with Uber, I needed to get something to hold my iphone in place safely to follow the navigation system. This was pretty cheap at $20 but it does the job quite well.
Easy to put together as there are only two parts, the arm and the plate. Suction cup worked quite easily, sticking to the windshield without any trouble. I use an iphone 6 and the grip mechanism holds it in place rather well. I will say the ‘arms’ holding it in place are rather long, so depending on how you set it up, if its not perfectly facing you, those arms tend to get in the way and slightly block the view of part of the phones edges. This is more of an annoyance than an actual problem. Also, if the arm isn’t touching the dashboard, the unit tends to bounce a bit while driving if you’re on something other than a smooth road. Again, no so much a problem as an annoyance. I’m going to try and see if I can bend the arm to have it rest slightly on the dashboard and hopefully it’ll fix that. Removing the phone is also pretty easy. Release button on the back is easy to access and you can have your phone in your hands in a jippy. All in all, for $20 bucks, it does the job, no real complaints.

I like this phone holder.
This is my second one that I have bought.
It holds the phone firmly in the holder.
The side supports have ratchet type adjustment and the release
Works well. The long arm is very versatile for positioning. The release of the suction mount can be a little tricky. Make sure you release the suction cup button prior to removal. It holds the arm firmly in place. I bought the other holder Bestbuy carries. I didn't like the way it side supports work. It seems like it grips don't grab the phone firmly. It doesn't click into position like this model does. It does have a shorter and stiffer arm. But this limit's the adjustment you can make. I had issues with my dash and mirror clearances while my phone was plugged in for charging.
I didn't need to use the vent supports. I'm not sure how good they would work. Well that's my take on this holder. Hopefully this will help you decide on your purchase.
Good luck

I have been using this particular product for approximately two weeks. It is great, easy to install and provides a good hold on your phone. We have used both Android and iphones and it works great on both types. Since I drive a truck, I have been on many bumpy road conditions and I have not had a problem.

It works just fine and it holds the phone in place perfect. The 360 swivel is a plus but I had only one small problem with it. The green side button that is used to release the brackets gets stuck most of the time causing the brackets to not lock in place, you just got to wiggle it a little to pop out and you’re good to go, besides that it works great.

This mobile phone holder works exactly as I expected it to. It has held to the window securely through the heat of summer and the cold of winter. There is some noticeable vibration of the phone when in the holder as other reviews have mentioned. I drive a Lexus SUV with a smooth ride so I believe the vibration will occur with most any vehicle and is most likely impossible to eliminate if you use any mobile phone holder with a long adjustable arm. I was able to cut down a lot of the vibration by curving the arm and resting the part of the arm close to the phone on the dashboard. However, I do not find the vibration to be an issue since you should not be looking at the phone that intently while the car is in motion anyway.

I just purchased my second one of these about a week ago. I drive A LOT and have to HAVE something to hold my cell phone near eye level where I am not looking down to see who is calling and/or to view it while using the GPS function! No matter whether it's cold, hot, rainy, dry, or humid.....this cell phone holder does what it claims to do. It is a simple but effective design. It is very easy to place on your windshield and easy to remove too! The thick, flexible gooseneck makes it easy to position anyway you like and even going over a lot of bumps....the suction cup mount stays in place! I have had one of these for years; I misplaced my original one and went to Best Buy and got another one. No sense in getting anything else if I have found something that works great! ALSO.....no matter what cell phone you have, this holder adjusts very easy to any size! Thank You Bracketron....you made a really great tool!!!

I got this in the mail a bit ago. With the lockdown going on I haven't been able to mount in the truck yet. While checking it out for fitment with my phone i observed the following.
1-the Phone cradle is deep and will accommodate most phones and holder.
2- the suction cup on the arm seems to hold pretty well on the window in my office and hasn't moved.
3-the arm is pretty short, I don't know if it well be long enough for the truck. 6.5" long
4- you cannot tighten the head/cradle so it might ratchet around on bumpy roads
Overall it seems pretty good. I will update my review after some testing on the road.
