Customers appreciate the TripGrip Car Holder's ease of use, stability, and secure hold of their phones. Many also find the suction cup strong and the price reasonable, with the GPS functionality being a helpful added feature for some. However, some users experienced issues with vibration at higher speeds and a few reported concerns about the size and stickiness of the holder. A small number also mentioned challenges with the arm length and release button.

After trying several phone holders and being disappointed, I found this one. Others didn’t stay attached to car, or wobbled, or didn’t hold my large heavy phone. But this one does a great job. Phone can rest on dash, so it has extra support, and suction stays attached to window. I’m able to place my phone so that it doesn’t impede visibility as well. I bought a second one for my husbands car since I was so pleased with this one.

Easy to adjust, stays firmly fixed to the windshield, and allows a lot of flexibility in deciding where to mount. Overall an affordable and well-designed piece of hardware that doesn't have me worried it will lose grasp of my phone or the windshield while in transit.

The neck does flex very well so you can put it in a variety of places. Mounting your phone or GPS is quite easy. However the unit doesn’t stay on glass for more than a few days. This is a common problem with most sticky/suction glass mounts I’ve tried. My old Garmin mounts have been the longest lasting so far.

2001 Chevrolet 2500, Galaxy S8+ with UAG flip case ~ Using this attached to windshield via suction cup (right of steering wheel), with it resting on edge of dash when phone is mounted (panoramic position).
-Cup sticks like glue to windshield. Have not attempted textured dash.
-Flexible 'arm' is firm which is especially important for trucks and performance oriented vehicles with tight suspension. It's not quite as long as expected, but phone barely rests right on edge of dash which is probably best so it doesn't flop around off-road.
-Has a release that works almost like a gas-charged shock-slowly opens when buttoned is pressed. The grab is foam-covered and beefy enough for a universally firm grip. Could easily fit giant phones like the Notes, as it opens much wider than my large S8+ with case.
-It rotates so you can mount phone in panoramic position (my choice).
-Price point is great!

In both vehicles I own (which have drastically different windhsield types) this is a great mount. I was really worried about this because one of my cars has a very sharp angle and the other has a very minor angle, but it performs really well in both. Removing and securing your phone from it is super simple. The price is really good considering how expensive some of these mounts can get.

I like that this product suctions to my windshield but doesn't interfere with my field of vision while driving. It's very easy to place phone in it and holds the phone well/stable. It's also rather simple to remove the phone from the holder.

I was looking for a phone holder to lower my phone to help with glare issues during the day and this sort of does the trick. The arm is not as long as i hope but still pretty good. Only issue is if you dont use a case with some grip it can slip out. Overall a good product

Pretty Good For The Front Vehicle Windshield

Just recently purchased and pretty good. It works well when my iPhone 6 is installed into the unit. If I am driving down a rocky or rough road and there is NO iPhone 6 in the unit, it will wiggle a bit and make a shaking/rattling noise that is a bit irritating. So, best thing with this item is to be sure that your iPhone 6 and/or perhaps another Smart Phone is properly installed into the unit, if you are driving down a rocky or rough terrain road. Other than that, I prefer it to the old style and older unit that I have in my other vehicle, which is made by another manufacturer and is at least 8 years old. The neck does "stick out" a bit from the windshield, but, that allows the unit to be closer to your face/body in order to be able to use GPS, etc., while using your Smart Phone. Overall, a good product and will purchase again, if needed and I do recommend this product based on the price and quality for same.

Super Iphone holder

I have tried many iPhone holders made for the car, and every one until this one has had deficiencies. They either do not hold the phone properly or in the proper orientation, or they are not adjustable so that the phone can be seen in bright sunlight. All that I have tried before that were mounted to the windshield by suction have eventually lost their grip, usually when I am driving. This one I have had for over a week, and it still has yet to lose suction. It is adjustable with its flexible arm, which is long enough to position the phone exactly where you want it. The length of the arm allows a small amount of vibration, but I have not found this to be annoying. Altogether a superb mount and cheaper than other inferior units. You need a mount for your iPhone in the car, buy this one.

I got about 2.5 years out of the first one and expect to get even longer life out of this one since I don't drive Uber/Lyft anymore.
The only problems I had were the release button sticking closed so I'd have to pull it up to close up the sides again and after about two years the suction cup started to tear but it was still working just fine when I replaced it.
Only took a star away because the button issue happened fairly quickly (6mo or so) and was annoying as hell, but didn't prevent it from working.

This is a really nice product.
- Secures firmly to the windshield
- The release for the windshield works fine
- Holds multiple phone sizes. Used it with an iPhone 6 Plus, in an Otter Box case, an iPhone 7 and a Samsung 7. Secured each phone.
- The release for the phone is great
- Easy to travel with, the mounting base easily disassembles from the arm.
- Easy to adjust to get into position for your driving needs. I mount it in the center of the windshield. My wife prefers it on the left side of the windshield.
- We have two of these, my son bought as a gift for my wife. I liked it and purchased one for myself.
- The price was good in comparison to other products I looked at.
- I recommend it.

The TripGrip is perfect for me. Oregon has enacted a law preventing a driver from holding a mobile phone in hand. My dashboard is not designed well for any of the phone holders to attach to without blocking something. The TripGrip can stick to my windshield in it's lower left corner and bend so it is easy to see without blocking the air vent. Great!

Really like this car phone holder. The suction is super strong, and it is very adjustable, holding our iPhones from 5s to 7s with ease. Easy release also, and adjusts nicely.
