This shaver gets down to the root of the hair it kinda hurts, but once you get used to it, it’s great. It takes longer for the hair to grow back once you shave.

It definitely isn’t a comfortable feeling the first couple times but after using it frequently it gets easier and the results last so long!

First time obviously hurt but 2nd time is a lot easier power threw the 1st time it's worth it! Exfoliate first! Love this does a great job lots of attachments & a facial spin brush. Didn't say it came with any attachments so that's a bonus! If your thinking about purchasing do it !you would be disappointed by the results.

Love the fact that it is cordless and with the extra benefit of a light when it is turned on - what a great idea!!

I think this is the second time we order this. Braun epilator are well made but I don’t know what happened. I think we had it for more than 3 years before it stopped working. I ordered another one and I hope it stays longer than the previous one.

I’m not going to lie at first I was scared but I kept telling myself this will be better than shaving and having to deal with the hair regrowth a day after shaving. To be honest it does hurt the first time but after a few uses you get use to it and you’ll have less hair you need to epilate the next time so it won’t be as painful as the first. I love it and I haven’t shaved since I bought it, my skin is thanking me I wish I would’ve got it sooner.

It left my body feeling super soft, way better than shaving. The pain subsides fairly quick.

Where do I even begin? First of all, I've struggled to find a hair removal option for my legs for YEARS! Shaving caused severe razor burn no matter what I tried. Waxing was too expensive, and not doing anything was not an option for me (or my boyfriend -_-). Then I stumbled on epilating and this one was the highest recommended. Every review said the same thing. Painful (very very true but only the first time), but effective! As a person who shaved in the morning and by the afternoon, already had stubble, I can say very happily that my skin is silky smooth for at least a week and even then the hair is so fine you can't even feel it! I only know its time to epilate again when I can see the little blonde hairs in the sunlight! Needless to say I'm very happy (and so is my boyfriend)!

This epilator works very well. It even has a light on it. As far as epilators being painful, if you have previously waxed you will not find it painful. If it is your first time using one, then it will hurt, but once you use it for a while it will not be painful. Also nice is that this is rechargeable, so no cord.

Well to start, it definitely hurts the first time. I see it does get easier to handle with use...the pain lessens. The light is great at helping you see any hairs you might miss. All is great except some of the hairs dont pull out. Some of them break real short which is the reason I wont give 5 stars. I also feel like when I try to use it in the bath, more hair broke because the hot water softens the hair. I find myself shaving after using it. It does lessen the razor burn though. I recommend using some kind of after shaving care to help irritation subside quicker.

This is an amazing product. No need of conventional hair removing products and methods anymore. Very easy to use and results are amazing. Overall a great product.

The Braun Silk-epil 9 works perfectly, it is easy to keep clean and works dry or wet. has a trimmer and shaving head attachment and a separate electric face brush. epilators can hurt if you have not used one it can be a bit of a pinch at first but becomes tolerable with more use, exfoliating after epilating can help prevent ingrown hair on the legs surface.

My wife purchased this and somehow talked me into letting her try it out on me. I was not really expecting the pain I was about to receive and proceeded to scream and yell as the hairs were ripped from my body. After though, I was as smooth as a baby's butt. It lasted much longer than shaving.

Not the best epilator / shaver from Braun, and I have been using Braun for past 25 years

Wife loved it. Had a philips model earlier and this was easily much better than that.

If you hate shaving then you will love it, but.... it’s very painful. My first time using it I done from my knees down and I was able to go almost 3 weeks before having to shave again. I have not got up the nerve to do my thighs or bikini line with the hair removal head.

Does a great job at removing hair! Takes a while to get use to this hair removal method.
