At first when I first saw the Barista Express, I was a bit hesitant to buy. After bringing this beauty home, I have had nothing but pleasure making my own expressos. It is so easy to grind your own beans and the aroma in the morning is amazing. A bit pricey but it's so worth it.

Pros:
Incredibly delicious
Learning curve is not as steep as most reviews say.
Consistency
Cons:
Grinder doesn’t feed perfectly every time with some types of beans
Grinder could be big enough to fit one bag, it’s just a hair shy
Water tank could be bigger
Drip tray fills quickly
Love it and it set a new standard (a stupid high one) for coffee at home. The price is expensive but if it saves you 3 cups at Starbucks per week that’s about a $14 savings. It pays for itself over time.

It grinds the grounds nicely and will pay itself off quickly since I have not been to Starbucks since I purchased it. I am still working on perfecting my craft, but it is pretty delicious and I have been ordering special coffee from various places online to find the perfect blend.

I used to be a barista, and I have been wanting to buy a quality espresso machine for years, and finally bit the bullet. I know it's a little pricey, but it is worth every penny. We have saved so much by making our espressos at home. Make sure you read the manual well before trying to use it; if you're not a barista already, you'll need to learn how to use it properly in order to make quality espresso and steamed milk.

Amazing machine, I will buy over and over again. I have told everyone I know to get it, just wait until black friday or cyber monday due to the cost. Overall great machine and worth the investment if you are a daily latte drinker.

Yummy!!!! With my leash tightened, and findng myself home more and at the coffee shop, well, NEVER, it seemed like a fancy espresso maker might be just the ticket for an improved attitude. I was right! Never underestimate the power of espresso. This machine makes coffee that is better than the shops. It supplies entertainment with friends (distanced coffee on the front porch) and an instant upgrade to any home base. YES. Foam too! Lick-your-lips good!

Yes it’s a little costly but it’s worth it. Loving mine. Haven’t been to the coffee shop yet. This is going to pay for itself in no time. Customize the grind and coffee amount to your preference. Makes a great cup. You won’t regret it. My only complaint is that I wish the water reservoir was a bit bigger. Seems like I’m filling it a lot but it’s just a minor inconvenience.

Great espresso maker. Americanos are the way to go. 10 times better than regular coffee. If you have a friend with espresso mashing, go try a americano and you will fall in love. This espresso maker is perfect for all levels of experience in espresso making. Easy to learn and easy to become a espresso expert if you want

Just received it yesterday. Took a little while to setup. And even more to "dial-in" the coffee amount and tamping. Coming from a super automatic, I've had to use Youtube videos to get some "tutoring" on pulling good espresso shots.
Its helped immensely. First quad americano came out very good.
