It will Break

We bought TWO of these. One for us and one for our son. BOTH broke with the same problem and when we looked online, others had the exact same problem. Charge $268.97 (EACH). labor alone was $219. So, plan on it breaking about 1 one year later and then dealing with bots before you speak with someone live, then waiting for a shipping box, shipping it back, and waiting 7-10 to get to back. What a scam! Repair description: Seal Showerhead 54Mm / NTC BASE ASSY FROM PDC2315. Parts were $29 and labor was $219 for each coffee maker.

Low Quality, High Price, Won’t Last

We loved the barista touch for its convenience and quality espresso. Unfortunately, despite religious maintenance and cleaning, issues began just after the 2yr warranty expired. First, we could no longer use rhe Americano button because the machine couldnt successfully switch over from hot water to espresso, causing an incomplete shot. We got over it and did each step manually. Then, the bean grinder completely stopped working. Unacceptable quality given the price!

Impossible to register for Warranty or support

Beware, I invested 4 hours with my model number, serial number and a copy of my order (which has strangely disappeared from my list of previous BestBuy orders, and was unable to register this expresso. In my Breville account it shows I live in Canada, and I am unable to update my location to the U.S. I tried unsuccessfully to create a ticket (got "batch errors) so the only option was waiting on hold a min of 30min. If you care to have a warrenty or support on an expresso you may want to consider a different brand. It does work well and there are no issues. But I hope it never breaks.

Hot Coffee - not really

I purchased this Espresso machine in July and I have been using it for 6 months. It makes specialty coffees, i.e., Lattes, Cappuccinos', Flat Whites fine, but if you are looking for a hot cup of coffee without adding the milk, so a hot Espresso or a hot Americano I would not purchase this machine. I need to preheat the cup before I use it and run hot water through the machine before making the coffee and it still is not hot. I have the setting at the highest heat level, but still it comes out a little warmer than luke warm. I can't have a cup of hot coffee. It grinds and does everything else okay, my only compliant is it does not make "hot" coffee. Not a fan of the machine considering the price I paid.

Customer Support non-existent

After a year of ownership, the device starts up with an error 05 and all functions are disabled. I tried getting ahold of support through multiple channels - phone, filing a ticket, and e-mail - and I suspect that there is no one actually working customer support.
This is a neat device but a very risky purchase - if something goes wrong, you're completely on your own.
