Writing this after 2-3 weeks of use. Checking reviews, and with neighbors and family, Breville toaster ovens score very well. But Breville's higher-end models have reports of failing with "error codes" being displayed, ending the life of the appliance, so we purchased this simpler model (and added Geek Squad, just in case.) This is a well-designed toaster oven. The control panel provides simple and clear access to all the functions. Toasting is excellent, though the top side does get a little more done than the bottom. The "A BIT MORE" button is a REALLY nice feature. We've also baked with it - things like frozen chicken nuggets, and nachos - and it works well. There is even a clear legend on the door showing which of the 3 rack positions should be used based on the cooking function. The toast times are self-adjusting -- if the oven is already hot from the previous cycle, times are reduced accordingly, so the results remain consistent to the settings (darkness and number of slices.) The outside skin of the oven does get hot, so do not place this where small children or pets may touch it without knowing, and do not place/store items on top. That said, the front handle and its supports are insulted from the heat, so proper opening and closing is 100% safe. The User Guide is brief and very clear - WORTH READING.

I bought this for my elderly mother. She is just cooking for herself and she uses small quantities. She did a lot of cooking in her life and she actually makes recipes for herself as opposed to just heating things up. The average toaster oven is not really that suited to her. This is like a little professional oven. It heats so evenly. She loves how evenly it toasts. It heats up quickly. The size is perfect for her. The controls were simple for her to figure out. She loves it.

I have very little counter space, so i needed a very little toaster oven, I had my eye on this Breville for months. I hesitated because there were soo many competing t/o's available, many at a much lower price. I kept coming back because of the size and Consumer Reports excellent rating for performance and reliability. What really kept me away was the Very High Price. I even went so far as to completely give up on the idea(besides-I would only be cooking items that would be "bad" EG: pizza and chicken wings!) BUT...they finally put it on sale for Black Friday Month and all my resistance faded away; and I had a $10 BB coupon to sweeten the deal. So enough about me...the T/O is great! It has cooked a 11" gluten free pizza to PERFECTION-no exaggeration. GF crusts are very tricky, and this little gem came through with flying colors! I still have not found a convenient way to cook chicken wings-I worry, since they stick to the baking pan, and I don't want to scratch it. I could have deducted a star for that, but it is much better than "Good" at 4 stars. Toast comes out great, and that is the extent of my menu, so far. It has a bumper at the back, that allows for ventilation so the power cord does not heat up. The rest of the t/o does get hot-get over it. Thought about getting the Very Hard To Find pizza stone, but why mess with success. I recommend this little gem, glad I got it.

purchase was very easy, have had this toaster oven in the past, was time to replce with a new one. love this little toaster oven, perfect for counter top. not too big. easy tu use.

So we’ve had this for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. The brand we had previously worked but every knob or dial made a beep with every turn. It was unnecessary and annoying. You couldn’t use it when others were sleeping because it made so much noise. This one looks great on the counter. The glass front makes it easy to see what’s going on with your food while it’s cooking so nothing gets overdone. The oven is easy to operate, heats quickly and is the perfect size for our needs. We use it for cooking small items like quiche or pizza, for warming up left overs and toasting things. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a well made product.

Had for about a month now and use it several times a week. So easy to use even for my kids. Toasts perfectly compared to our regular 2 slice toaster. If its not toasted enough, there is a button to toast just a little more. Love it.

The Breville Mini Smart oven is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. It is hard to understand how it cooks everything perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed watching different family members experience it. Each person made the same comments about how anything they cooked came out exactly the way they wanted it. The settings are simple and the size is easy to fit comfortably on the counter. The price is a bit high in comparison to other toaster ovens but the investment is well worth it. I lucked out when I found it on sale at Best Buy. Take the leap, you'll be glad you did...

Great medium sized toaster oven, easy pull out tray to clean and fast toasting.

I have air fryers so I got the Breville smart mini toaster oven only and I'm not disappointed. I've used more than half the features to toast, re-heat, broil, and bake, it has performed well. I wanted something small and this little dude is that but it's certainly not a generic toaster oven. The shelf is adjustable, and it has a removable crumb tray for easy cleanup. The digital read-out and features make it simple to use especially the "a bit more" button which is very convenient. It does take longer to toast bread than a common toaster but this isn't a deal breaker for me, still 5 stars.

This oven has everything I need. It is easy to understand as I barely had to look at the direction book that comes with it. I also use it for side dishes for large family meals. It was very helpful over the Easter holiday. The smaller size fits perfectly on the counter still leaving move for meal prep. I would recommend it to anyone.

We have limited counter space and this fills all of our needs without taking up much room. Really well made with simple to use controls. Even toasting. Comes with a pan that fits the oven nicely. We use this oven way more than I expected because it's so versatile.
