Real is better than generic.

I've tried generic brands of ink, and even if they are just as dark, and I can't tell the difference, my printer can. Using only ink I get at Best Buy insures I'll be using the real stuff that my printer works best with.

Posted .We understand your Brother LC3013BK cartridge did not last long. We'd like to help. The stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more ink and will shorten the life of the ink cartridge. I’m so happy that I purchased a brother printer/copier/fax machine. The ink cartridges are so much easier to install than the last machine I owned. I look forward to being a longtime customer of the brother ink products and all of brother’s products.

Canon, HP & Brother. The only brand I truly recommend is the Brother Inkjet Printer and their Inkjet Ink. Their ink is much more reasonable than HP & Canon bran inkjet ink. Plus I donot have to change the ink carts as often. You will not be disappointed with Brother Printer Products!!

We finally upgraded and went for a Brother printer mostly because of the high yield cartridges and the regular sized ink cartridge it came with lasted at least 6-7 months. Couldn't believe that this XL cartridge fits right in as the regular size and the price is just right. Also, it is so easy to install, you just push and click it in... hoping this will last us at least the whole year!

It does seem to to last a lot longer than the regular sized cartridge. Don’t bother with that unless you need and excuse to get out of the house.
