Classic movie. Got a great deal on it at Best Buy.

I always heard this was one of the best sports movies around. Now that I've seen it I don't know what all the fuss is about. Don't get me wrong. It's a fine movie, but I'd take Hoosiers or The Sandlot over this one any day.

But the transfer is just okay. Better than DVD, but I'm sure there will be another remastered version at some point. Worth the double-dip at this price, however.

All in all a good movie .... loved seeing a young Kevin Costner & Tim Robbins !

In their great wisdom, MGM decided to put a 90th Anniversary card over the Blu-ray case, inside the shrink wrap. They attached it to the case using the easily removable gum that is used with credit cards sent in the mail. They didn't bother to check if this gum is chemically compatible with the Blu-ray case! Although easily removed, the gum has left the clear plastic cover of the Blu-ray case with a couple of thumb-print sized depressions, where it looks like the plastic has melted.

If you like baseball you should like this. Not sure myself, but only got it since my fiend was an extra in it.
