Great Remaster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Burnout Paradise City wasn't necessarily screaming for a remaster, but this household is certainly glad it was done. While many games given a remaster are severely focused on the visuals (think Shadow of the Colossus,) Burnout updates the visuals nicely, but truly, this is a game more concerned with giving you the experience it had hoped when it was first released. Great looking cars, no load time free traversal over the big city and attached island, and smooth racing. While some Burnout purists may be disappointed by Paradise City with the change from almost pure destruction to an open world system chock full of races, most of those race types involve dishing out damage. With nearly every single intersection in the huge maps being a starting point for an event, there's never a shortage of things to do (along with several sorts of hidden collectibles). And that's the real draw here- there's always something to do and all within whatever type of gaming session you have on the table. While you can certainly have all sorts of fun over a short, one hour session, Paradise City is so addictive, a four hour session will go by just as quickly.

One of the best racers of last gen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've loved the Burn Out series since it debuted and have always said that Paradise was the best entry. Most would cry heresy saying that's impossible since 3 is the best, which I can't argue, it's definitely one of the best entries and one of the best racers of its respective console gen but I feel like this did everything 3 did and a whole lot more. Burnout Paradise Remastered is what you got last gen but with all the DLC and looking and running a lot better for current consoles. I mean it was already an amazing game as it was and fast as heck to boot but this kicked it all up a notch and throws you into an open world where exploring and finding new races and locations is a lot of fun honestly. Gives you way more options of how you want to approach paths and taking on everyone you go up against, plus it makes for some truly messed up situations of how you end up wrecking your car which obviously was always one of the best things about the series.

A Fun Arcade Racer ported to Current Consoles
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When the original Burnout Paradise came out in 2008, I bought it and had a blast playing it. After 10 years, it finally arrives to the PS4 and Xbox One. Is it worth buying for New and Veteran players? Yes*, but there are some caveats that I need to address. I'll start with the Positives first. With this remastered, it comes with all the DLCs and Updates on the disc. So, you will get the additional cars, online modes, and even an additional Island to play and race with. Secondly, the controls are very tight and the physics for all the vehicles handle great and different. The game runs natively 1080P 60FPS on both the PS4 and Xbone and also 4k 60FPS if you have the performance versions of these consoles. However, I will now address the cons for this game. While the graphic does look slightly cleaner and polished, it's not much of a bigger difference from the PS3 to PS4. Also, some of the gameplay aspects has not aged that well. For example, if you are not familiar with the map yet, you will be constantly pausing the game and look at the map to make sure you are heading to the right direction. Next, like many modern racing games you can set a waypoint or have some form of fast travel to reduce the monotony. However, in this game you have to manually drive to all the locations, and without putting a custom waypoint, it goes back to my 1st issue. Lastly, if you wanted to change to a new car you have to drive back to the Junkyard each time and then wait for the vehicle to load and then select it. These issues are annoying at worst to a minor inconvenience at best. Overall, despite some of these issues the game is still fun and if you are a new racer or a returning veteran that likes to take a turn on Memory Lane, then pick up this game. The game has a lot of things to do and you can easily spend hundreds of hours playing this game.

Great car racing game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Burn out paradise still is the best car racing game that I have ever played IMO. I was ecstatic when I heard it was coming out as a remake for the PS4. It has lots of cool cars to choose from an great crashes in a large open world city. I bought this one as a Christmas gift since I bought my copy the day it came out.

Welcome back to Paradise.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Burnout Paradise released back in 2008 on PS3 & X360 and it was a game I thoroughly enjoyed. Stunts, crashes, takedowns and much more was on offer in this beautiful racer. A tight and very responsive racer, this game also introduced a huge open world to drive around in both offline and most importantly online with your friends. A little off putting at first because the developers didn't give you a waypoint. They gave you a compass and on the minimap a destination. It was your responsibility to find the quickest route. But this design decision was a solid one. It necessitated learning the map and shortcuts. Now EA has finally released a remaster of this title and on PS4 Pro and a 4K/HDR capable tv this is a sight to behold. Unfortunately the game doesn't support HDR but it's a looker nonetheless.

Familiar and Fun
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a Fun racing game. With multiple cars to choose from and even motorcycles a little bit for everyone to enjoy this game. They even have some special cars that might look like they came from an 80's movie. check out the trailer for this game if you don't believe me. That's why I bought this game. it's fun, familiar, and looks good to! this is the one PS4 Car Game I would tell you to purchase if you're looking for a car game to ad to your collection.

Excellent Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is amazing! The handling of the cars are very easy to get into and the pace of the game is FAST! It may not let you customize your vehicles, but that doesn't bother me since I dont like spending time on those anyway. In this game, you drive around in an open city where you can race anywhere. It has fun event you can participate and it can get competitive. The crash is fun and well made. If you have a bunch of friends who also enjoy racing, you can even race online together. This game is just amazing.. perfect ten!!

A fun destructive racing game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is the perfect way to take out road rage in a safe and acceptable form. I do wish they would have brought back the destructive mode that was featured in the PS2 release, "Burnout: Revenge" where you accumulate points by causing the most damage to the vehicles in the surrounding area in one launch. Other than that missing feature, this game has already provided me with hours upon hours of entertainment. Even my girlfriend has fun just driving around and exploring the map!

A classic remastered
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I missed out on this game on ps3 so I was happy hearing it was being ported and improved for ps4. It plays and looks great. You won't confuse it for a genuine ps4 game but it's a good looking port nonetheless. It includes all dlc on disc but the dlc cars are overpowered early on so probably best to avoid using them until later if you want fair yet challenging races.

Buy it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I assuming most players have already play the game on the old version but I will write my review for those who might be first timers on the game. first of all the game is super fun, it is just amazing I could say with all my honesty that is probably not the best racing game on ps4 but is for sure the most fun to play it’s the best on just racing and free roaming and do whatever you want in the city, only action, without story missions or cops or any career and that staff. The way that the cars moving in this game with all the speed and almost unlimited nitro and real trashing up the car scenes, it can blow your mind away. It has some fictional but still very awesome cars and the races and challenges can be just incredible. as for the remaster , I hadn’t finish the game on ps3 but I have played a few times and I can say that game is very improved , for the graphics , for the sound effects , for the mechanics . It does not look like a brand new game but it is still much better that the old version. I give it 8 ,1 point for the graphics which are okay but not the best and 1 point because I play it for 4 days I have almost reach the end of the game , so it’s kind of short to me . In general is a MUST have game for anyone who just love racing games.

Great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I love the remastered version of burnout paradise remastered, this game has 4K on the PS4 pro as I use the PS4 pro and my 4K tv, graphics just blew me off. I got to cruise around big surf island which is tight. I got all the DLCs including cops and robbers, toys, bikes and all that included in one disc. I would knock down the rating by half but Only thing I don’t like is I can’t use my racing wheel on it. PS4 doesn’t have as many racing games like the PS3 did. Other than that, it’s the best remastered for the racing game.

Great memories...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gameplay is awesome. Great crashes, races, and jumps. Brings back lots of memories. The remaster isn't the best I have seen, you can tell that it is higher resolution, and framerates but the fresh coat of paint isn't as good as other remasters. However don't let that sway you from buying the game. It is an extremely fun game with all dlc and cars that came out back in the day. Definitely worth revisiting paradise city.

I doubted this game...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't convinced I would like a racing game that was open world. I like games with format and structure, but I decided to give this game a go mainly because I'm a big fan of the Burnout series. Man, I was proven wrong quickly. This game is fun to play. The open world map is fun to drive through and the racing is formatted well. Plus, the Burnout style is alive and well. Highly recommend.

Great graphics and racing on the cheap
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up as a deal of the day for $10 but at the regular price it’s atill worth it. The graphics are great and the game is already loaded with all the dlc and cool extra cars. Once I saw in the trailer that you could race “almost” versions of the deloerean time machine and the ECTO-1 I was sold. It’s a solid game.

Super fun like the original Burnout Paradise!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those who have played the original Burnout Paradise on the PS3 or Xbox 360, this game is essentially remastered with all the DLCs. I would say this is one of the best racing arcade games out there. Super fun driving around the city in different vehicles and crashing them to destruction!! Highly recommend for everybody!

The Grass is Very Green in Paradise City
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The open world racer Burnout Paradise is back. I had a lot of fun with the PS3 version and this remastered offers a lot of extras and tweaks. First, it includes all the DLC that was released for the original version including a new areas of town, Big Surf Island, as well as a great variety of vehicles. The framerate has also been bumped up to a steady 60 FPS and all textures have been improved.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely fun race game that allows you to bump and grind and smash to win.. So much fun with out being too arcady or ridiculous.. It can get intense at times cuz other cars are trying to crash you as well.. Nascar eat your heart out because this is what you should be

Great Release of last gen's Burnout
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent re-release of the PS3 version. Runs smooth, has all the DLC I missed on the original release on the PS3. Great game to play again. Makes me wish they would make a new Burnout. As a note, the game did crash on me once in the 8 hrs I played it so far. No major issue, the game auto saves often.

Nice game to have fun, not for racings
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I see my 11 y-old boy enjoying a car racing game. Also, this is the first time we can play this kind of game together. However, although I gave it 5 stars, this gave may disappoint people like me (yes) who'd rather playing more challenging racing game. This game is all about having fun. It doesn't offer many options to customize the vehicles, and the 2 players option does not allow us to use 2 different joysticks. This is what I most dislike in this game. But overall, considering the amount of fun I am having with my son, I'll give it 5 stars. If I recommend? Well, I suggest anybody who wants to buy it do their search first just to understand what it is about, just to understand what to expect from the game before purchasing.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't played burnout in a very long time and decided to pick it up especially seekng how cheap it was. This game is really fun just driving around at top speeds and crashing into stuff is a blast. My five year old was really digging this game also, it's a nice little time killer.
