Tough to beat the classics. But I did think it was longer. Excellent restoration of the film. It’s quite sharp.

At the close of the sixties, established star Newman and up-and-comer Redford would make this a classic, the first of two hugely popular collaborations with director George Roy Hill. (The follow-up was 1974's "The Sting.") No standard western, "Butch" both romanticizes and satirizes the true story of the infamous "Hole in the Wall" gang, creating the ultimate buddy picture, thanks to terrific chemistry between the two leads. Burt Bacharach's Oscar-winning score, creates a one-of-a kind movie that's by turns lyrical, hilarious, and sad. Fabulous dialogue, choreography, brilliant and often funny one-liners has made me watch this movie many, many times over the years. Well worth the money & highly recommended.

I enjoyed this movie just as much now as I did 40+ years ago when I saw it for the first time.

Funny cowboys robbing trains and banks. Ole blue eyes and reford are good in this movie..

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was one of the first westerns that I saw when I was younger. I did not know about Butch and Sundance till I saw this movie and I became interested in knowing the real men behind the movie because of Newman and Redford. I love this movie and it really stands the test of time. It is the kind of movie that if you see that it is on, you stop what you are doing and watch for a while. Like a comfortable shirt that you don't want to live without, I don't want to do without this movie.

Fine Western genre spiced up with comedy that only Newman and Redford can deliver. Director used an interesting mix of Color and B&W photography to tell the story, ceria late 1890’s, which is the warmth of the character relationship between Butch & Sundance. Newman was very loose and affable with his character and Redford, on the other hand, was genuine warmth under a cool distant wrapper – this character difference resulted in a very memorable viewing experience.

Another nice classic film transfer on blu-ray at a bargain price, this disc has a lot of nice extra features as well: - Director commentary - Screenwriter commentary - Making of Documentary - Featurette - Deleted scene - Trailers This is one of those bargain blu-rays of a great film that packs in a lot of entertainment for the money.

Always loved this movie & finally found it on Blu Ray! Robert Redford & Paul Newman are captivating as gorgeous bandits in the old west. This 1969 movie stands the test of time & is a must see! The soundtrack song "Raindrops Keep Fallin On My Head" was a big radio hit for BJ Thomas. Great Flick! I highly recommend it.

As time has gone on the Western genre of movies has died out quite a but but this movie was made in the heyday of such films. If you enjoy these older movies than this one shouldn't be any different.

Is there a better western? I think not. This has to rank as one of the best movies of all time. Newman and Redford are perfect in this movie. I've watched it over and over and it never gets old. Wonderful style. This is a must-have for everyone's movie collection. A true classic that stands the test of time.
