  • Still not what I had hoped for...

    This Blu-ray looks and sounds great BUT the so-called "Theatrical Version" of the film is not. I saw 'C.H.U.D.' (in the theater) when it was originally released and then on cable (countless times), a few years later. The true theatrical version of the film has a smattering of humorous, dubbed dialogue, throughout the course of the movie. This dialogue can be found in both the Laserdisc and VHS release of the film. Unfortunately, when the movie was released on DVD (Director's Cut), the dialogue was removed. When I first heard that 'C.H.U.D.' was being released on Blu-ray (with BOTH theatrical and director's cuts included), I was thrilled...expecting this new release of the theatrical version, to contain the previously removed dialogue. Sadly, said dialogue did not find its way back into the original, theatrical cut... So disappointing.

    Ahhhh C.H.U.D... One of those crazy scary movies my brother, cousins and I used to watch as kids! It's from the 80's, it's campy, it has odd film cuts throughout, it has used to be humans eating radioactive materials... What's not to love? A nostalgic purchase no doubt, but if you are a fan of movies from the time period I can't recommend it enough. They still look really good for how old the movie is, and having said that, watch the interviews on how the made the creatures look like that haha. Totally worth it.

    this isn't very good. but it is funny. so there is at least some value to it

    CHUD is so much fun. I love this movie. The Arrow Video release is the best it has ever looked, so buy this one!

    Awesome but would have preferred transparent case but still an excellent buy for the price.
