Matte black is a nice finish but I just wish it came in black stainless steel to match my other appliances which, by the way, are a step down from the Cafe line. Nothing negative to say about this fridge. Works perfectly and has an elegant look and design to it

It works, but it keeps spitting out this black and white powdery mixture in the ice. Doesn’t have it in the water.

Posted .We hate to hear this is happening. It sounds like carbon dust from the water filter. Upon installation of the water filter, we recommend flushing 1-2 gallons of water through the dispenser as well as throwing out the first several batches of cubes. If you have done this, we encourage you to call GE Appliances Service at 1-800-432-2737 to schedule a service appointment. We're confident they can help.

With the adjustable shelves, the flex drawer, the triple drawers in the freezer this is truly the best! The backlighting in the refrigerator is exceptionally bright yet beautiful.
