Falling apart in less than 10 months

It drips quite a lot from the brewer when you remove the carafe. I can't say I would recommend this one though it is lovely to look at. We paid almost $300 for this and definitely regretting it.

Rock-steady repeatable performance allows us to fine-tune the rest of the process (coarseness of the grind and water to coffee ratio) to make the perfect cup of coffee. I was worried that the white finish would become discolored over time but so far it's as white and bright as the day it came out of the box. Very satisfied!

There are like 30 screens just to create an account in their app, including a mandatory step to give them your address and phone number and share location info from your phone. Of course they’re going to sell all that info, it’s the only possible reason they could have for requiring it, so get ready for lots of spam. Then once you finally manage to get logged in setting up the WiFi is a complete nightmare. The app is very buggy, you have to track down a password on a label and they don’t tell you which one, turns out it’s on the back of the machine which also needs to stay plugged in so you’ll have to do some awkward maneuvering trying to turn it around to see the password. Once you have the password it still keeps failing log in and the app keeps getting confused about what step you’re on and kicking you out. Maybe if you’re lucky it connects eventually after several tries. I have so many other smart devices where you just scan one QR code or connect over Bluetooth and it’s set done. This coffee maker really sucks in comparison and everyone who worked on building this product should be ashamed of themselves.

We will be certain to share your feedback with our marketing and design teams. When Connected to WiFi, it can be voice controlled (turn on/off) using Alexa or the Google Assistant. Use the command Alexa/OK Google, turn on (or turn off) the coffee maker. You can brew coffee using the Alexa voice command. You can say, "Alexa, turn on coffee brewer" or "Alexa, turn off coffee brewer". You use Alexa to just turn the coffee maker off or on. The number of cups is based on the setting the last time the coffee maker brewed. 2 cups is not a default when using Alexa. The number of cups can be changed in the SmartHQ App. When you ask Alexa to turn on the coffee maker, it will brew the number of cups you have set for the last time you used the coffee maker. There is always going to be some level of coffee ground and oils that splash back onto the showerhead lid when the maximum level of coffee grounds is used. What you want to avoid is having the coffee grounds overflow into your coffee in the carafe. Here are a few causes for overflow, and some ways to avoid it: 1. Brew Basket Filter: Your coffee maker comes with a gold mesh basket filter in the brew basket insert. You can use a No. 4 paper filter instead, but using both the mesh filter and a paper filter will cause grounds to overflow into the basket insert or could splash coffee grinds and residue on the underside of the lid. 2. Coffee Grind: We recommend using a medium-grind coffee, when possible. A finer grind is more likely to lead to an overflow of coffee grounds. 3. Amount Used: We also recommend using the scoop that comes with your coffee maker, and use a flush level of grounds. Heaping scoops can lead to too much coffee grounds and can potentially cause overflows. - We hope this helps and that you're staying safe. -Michael@Cafe

We have been able to really taste a difference in our coffee. You may think the price is a bit high, but it’s 2020 and what else do we have to do. Take the bait and buy this coffee pot.
