Little disappointed.

This one is not the one for that. There is no heating plate. When the coffee comes out, it's not but not smoking hot like when you get it from Dunkin.

Posted .We appreciate your feedback. Our coffee makers with an insulated carafe do not have a warming plate. Consider preheating the thermal carafe by filling with hot water, then empty the carafe and start the brew cycle.

Descaling doesnt help either. Emailed support and was told to unplug for 30 seconds which did not help. Unplugged for 2 days and machine still will do hard shutdown and reboot after brewing and or trying to descale. Before this issue the machine worked great

Posted .Hi there! Thanks for the review. Sorry to hear about the issues you've had with your coffee getting hot enough. This coffee maker is regulated for temperatures between 185 and 205° F. It's recommended to brew between 195 to 205° F for best flavor extraction. For altitudes over 5,000 feet, use 185° F to prevent water from boiling. This model, since it has a glass carafe, also has a warming plate under the carafe to help keep the coffee hot after it's been brewed. - If you're finding that your coffee isn't hot enough or doesn't match the set temp, the temperature setting is based on the temperature of the water when they contact the coffee grounds. Said temperature will be lower in the carafe at the end of the brew. Because of this, checking the temperature with a thermometer is not an accurate way to verify temperature. - We do hope this helps. If you've got other questions, know that we're always here to help. It was a Christmas present surprise, so a little disappointed that it was delivered to my wife in a box that clearly had “coffee pot” in big letters so that kind of blew the surprise.

Fancy looking coffee maker. Great coffee!

They have been just about the most boring pieces in any kitchen I've ever spent any time in. But this machine is quite nice looking. Brushed stainless steel finish, all stainless pot and copper accents. Easily the most interesting looking appliance in my kitchen now. Even the pacakging was fancy. Not only is this machine easy to use, but it makes great coffee out of my freshly ground Black Rifle Coffee Co. beans. The drip head is a wide showerhead that evenly drips water over all the grinds. The different settings from light/medium/bold/gold vary the brew strength and being able to set the temperature is great for me so I can set it a little lower so I can get to drinking my black quicker! At first I thought that the brewer did not have a warming plate. But then I learned it warms the pot for I believe 4hrs via induction heat... That's pretty cool (or hot). As for the taste of this coffee. It promotes all the flavors of the beans I prefer. I was fine with just run of the mill coffee, but this machine is spoiling me. Hopefully I'm not gunna turn into a coffee snob. Here are some aspects of this coffee maker I like: WIFI is awesome (app is a touch buggy) but it works Good functions SIMPLE to set and use. Reusable filters (never cared for them since it is another thing to clean), But good to have in the event I run out of filters Coffee tastes great Able to set temperatures Induction heated coffee pot is cool to the touch! Looks very nice. Some things I wish were better: Wish it had a higher capacity (but it's quick to brew so not a huge deal) The water tank drips down the side when refilling the tank. (design flaw in the lid) Hands down the best coffee maker I've ever owned!

Don't waste your money

Due to high price, I had very high expectations. Coffee pot, out of the box, indicated an error code. Online data indicated that certain water should not be used. Replaced water several times and still not one drop of coffee was made. Technical Support would not answer. The only good thing I have to say about this Coffee Maker was that the Return was quick and easy!

Firdt the water container doesn’t come off so you have to fill it with a pitcher second the scooper that comes with it doesnt fit in a normal coffee container the handle is really long

Save your money! Poor taste and messy!

It didn’t matter how much or how little coffee I used, it always tasted bitter. I had been debating on purchasing this machine for over a year but could never bring myself to pull the trigger because of the price. I finally decided to treat myself because I’m such a coffee connoisseur and I was REALLY disappointed TWICE! The first machine arrived damaged. When I returned it to the store, the man that assisted me with the return said he had to buy 6 of them before getting one that wasn’t damaged. The second machine I decided to pickup in store and I was happy that it wasn’t damaged however the coffee flavor in my opinion was horrible. How is this machine certified? The certification is why I wanted it in addition to the aesthetics. It’s also very messy so think twice before getting the white machine. No matter how much coffee I used, the grounds always got all over the underside of the basket and made a mess that I had to clean because it looked horrible.

While this is not the type of review we hope to receive, it is imperative that we are made aware of situations such as yours. Please be assured we are as disappointed as you are and apologize for your frustration and inconvenience with receiving a damaged unit initially and now the issues you've had with the coffee grounds and the flavor of the coffee.
We do have a couple of suggestions that may help with the overflowing grounds:
- Please make sure you are using either the gold mesh basket filter included with the unit or a #4 filter but not both at the same time.
- We recommend using a medium-grind coffee, when possible. A finer grind is more likely to lead to an overflow of coffee grounds.
- We also recommend using the scoop that comes with your coffee maker, and use a flush level of grounds per cup of water (as measured based on the water in the carafe). Heaping scoops can lead to too much coffee grounds and can potentially cause overflows.

Color flaking off handle, very disappointed

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the look of the coffee pot and the it makes the coffee taste great, the first few days I would have given a 5 star, but now that I have had it two weeks, I am so disappointed because the bronze color is flaking off the handle. We have not cleaned it with anything abrasive and only handle it with bare hands, so there should be no reason the color is coming off. The handle is Apparently stainless steel coated with a very thin layer of bronze color that comes off very easily.
