So, another WWII first person shooter. I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. However, Call of Duty 3 doesn't do anything that the others don't. It's your basic run around and kill *enemies* game. Not bad if that's all you're expecting. In fact, it's quite fun. You have your assorted WWII weapons, firing from the sight, killing wave after wave of the worlds most notorious army. If you are looking for a groundbreaking (or even engaging) story or flashy effects, this isn't for you. In fact, you don't even play as the same character throughout the game. This is a good thing because you pick up as different soldiers commissioned (or drafted) into any of the allied forces, which introduces you to new (bad) accents and new (very cool) guns. It's bad because there is no way to develop anything past a mild indifference toward any of the characters. There is no anchor on which to develop characters or traditional story telling elements. In a game about the realities of war, this is kind of important. It's not so "real" unless you can somewhat feel the elation of victory or the helplessness of defeat... or the sadness of loosing a compatriot. I mean, it doesn't have to feel "real", but there was no effort at all to make anything more than run here, blow some stuff up, kill some *enemies*, run there, man a machine gun or spot for a tank... blow some stuff up, kill some *enemies*... Like I said, for the discount price, it is fun to play soldier. I just wouldn't recommend paying full price.

The game literally puts you on your toes. The graphics make you foget your playing a video game. The story board is great.

I rented this game and found out that it was alot of fun although the game is very short and only has online mutiplayer the great grahics make up for that.

This game is worth renting. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't worth buying. The campaign at least kept me interested enough to complete it. The on-line play lacks considerably. It's downright boring. The grafix on this game clearly weren't designed for the PS3. If you're considering this game, I would recommend renting it first, and then buying Resistance Fall of Man instead.

The game has been very well done and anyone that likes an FPS with a story is going to like this title a lot. The graphics are ok but nowhere near what the PS3 is capable of. Content is excellent as are the history lessons. The range of missions and their variance make for a constant change on game play style and complimented with the range of weaponry. Characters actually respond to smoke like its smoke and frags like they are frags. The online play is mediocre at best and if you are "nat 3" you are going to have to punch some holes in the firewall.

A Great game for the most part although a little to short if you are used to the MOH series, but for the game play this game scores a 5 star.

COD3 keeps your attention, and it keeps you entertained. It lots of fun. The graphics are great.

Great game to buy well right now tou can get COD4 yet still cod3 a little easier to play as a sniper heavy and few other classes. Great story line and awesome online gaming exp

If you have COD4 and have never played this, you might want to wait for the next installment. COD3 is a good game, but not as good as COD4.

i bought this game because my TV only supports 480p or 1080i and it was one of the few games that has 1080i as supported HD output or so the box says. when i came home and started playing it, my TV went to 480p. went to "www.activision.com/support" to find out that it was a misprint and the box should say it supports 720p only.

This game was really awesome,despite the graphics, it was really intense and every move you make effected your life.

This is a good game for people that are bored and want to kill a few hours

cod3 killed my ps3 apparently there is a glitch where the game damages the ps3 unit I called sony lucky for me they are going to replace it but Im not so sure if I'd would play the game at all check the forum at www.us.playstation.com and you will see I am not the only one with the problem .

I loved Call of Duty 2 and 4, but this one really disappointed me. The story is short and it's all about the France campaign. The graphics are poor, are not better than a PS2 game. If you are a fan of WW2, buy it, but don't expect a incredible game.

Okay when I bought call of Duty 3 i was really exited. then I played it....... To be honest Call of duty 2 is really a much better game. Call of duty 2 actaually has better graphics lol. much better story. Call of duty 3 all about the liberation of France. it gets so boring. plus the multiplayer maps are horrible. In total Call of duty 3 is worse than call of duty 2 lol. But call of duty 2 is a great game obviously call of duty 4 beats both of them but anyways.

this game sucks im soooooooo glad i got resistance fall of man instead...........if i could i would give this no stars
