COD4 is a good wargame, and the graphics were solid. I had some issues with the game however. First, the game will send an infinite number of enemies at you until you move forward and take more ground. So if you stay behind a barricade and pluck enemies but never move, well you can stay in that spot for 10 hours and keep shooting enemies if you wanted. The second you move up, the enemies can be killed as you see them and many will just disappear. It's kind of like an arcade game in that you have to be really gung-ho with the kills. That is not how real warfare is. Perhaps it just doens't fit my style. My second issue is with the number of grenades you have to avoid. It's kind of a pain when you're in a good spot and have to run out in the open to avoid grenades. It will happen very often in this game, a little too often IMO. Now here is where I LOVED the game - the developers broke up the monotony a bit by including two unique levels. The AC-130 Gunship level and the Sniper level. If the game were more like this, it would be 5 stars easy. They need to keep doing more stuff like this in future installments. You also get to man the gun in a helicopter and truck, which was cool as well. If you're into war games, I would recommend it, but with the caveats I mentioned above which can make it a bit annoying and frustrating at times.

This game is visually stunning and the gameplay is very deep. There are lots of weapons to make it interesting. The voice acting is phenomenal and adds a lot to the realistic gameplay. The story mode is too abbreviated although very fun. The main draw to Call of Duty 4 is the online mode; at first, online play is very challenging as you start out with very few weapons and supplementary gear, but after accumulating points and earning more gear the playing fields become leveled. The action is fast paced and the gameplay is intricate, Call of Duty 4 is a must buy for any PS3 owner.

I bought this game at the end of february the same time i bought my ps3. It was so much fun, i couldn't stop playing, which leads me to the only con (short storyline). I beat the game within about 5 hrs after i started. Then i decided to go online and try it out. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I loved it! talking to other people and everything. The only bad thing about playing online is if the host has bad connection, then you get thrown out of the game. Other than that, this game is the best for ps3 i've played so far (i played many others on my friends tho, this still ranks 1 on my list).

This is definitely game of the century!!! Call of Duty 4 is the best game out!!! This is a game everybody will love. I suggest everybody gets it and join the millions that play on the online multiplayer. You won't regret it. There are so many varieties of weapons and you can do pretty much anything you want with them like adding silencers or scopes or grenade launchers and so much more. And for those who like playing the campaigns, its just as good. It's very realistic, intense and too much fun. I can't stop playing the game. Call of Duty 4 is a game I will never get rid of.

I have about 20 PS3 games, all the Tom Clancy ones, even just went out and bought Assasins Creed which after playing this game is completely lame. If your lucky enough to own a 1080p LCD and a PS3/BluRay you are in for a visual treat, its incredible, the level of detail is just insane. I played this game every night for the last 2 weeks until I beat it. I will probably play it again and i like playing it just to show off the incredible graphics. This game is worth EVERY PENNY, i would pay 80+ for this game. This is one game you dont want to miss, just incredible...! Tommy

call of duty 4 is a must have if you own a ps3 or xbox 360. The online mode is great! the sound and graphics are amazing the game is so realistic. after playing halo 3 online i think that cod4 is better because you get to start out with the weapons of your choice unline halo everyone runs to get the rocketlauncher. the only compliant i have is that the multiplayer is so long there are 7 presitge modes and 55 levels in each ive been playing for like 1 month now and am only and 2nd prestige. bottomline get the game!! you will be playing for hundres of hours on the multiplayer

Overall this is probably one of the best purchases i have made for my PS3. I have had the game since day 1 and i don't think i have gone a day without playing it. The single player is short but i have found myself time and time again playing it over and over. The online portion i think is phenomenal. I like the ranking system and the weapons that go along with it. Plus 4 new map packs have just been released which add a new variety to the game. If you are looking for a game to keep you entertained for awhile, then this is your game. Huge replay value in my opinion.

This is by far the greatest game i own for my PS3. The online gameplay is fun for HOURS! and by hours i mean you'll be playing online until your fingers fall off. The story mode is a little weak, takes 3 hours to beat and there isnt a co-op mode which disappointed me. But besides that the game is incredibly solid. With plenty of modes to play online, you'll be busy for a while. The games get more excitin if you gang up wit some of your friends and play together online aswell. Call of Duty 4 is an amazing game that is a must have for any PS3 owner

This game is truelly the best first person shooter that I have ever played. For people who have played Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, you know that the game allows you alot of options interaction with the character and surroundings. This game blows that away. The weaponry and just plain being able to shoot anything and everything with every gun you can imagin. Along with the intense battles that really let you take advantage of the; RPGs, AK-47's, M-16/14's,SAW's, HK's, UZI's, and so, on makes this game hands down the best game ever.

This is one of the top 5 games available for the Playstation 3 right now. The graphics and sound are phenomenal, it makes it seem like you're in the middle of the action. The single player campaign is a little short, but each mission is fun and varies in theme and weapons. There are tons of weapons, which are all pretty sweet. The best aspect is the multi-player, which can be played on or offline. I play with a few of my friends in other states and can talk with them the entire game via my bluetooth headset. Highly recommended.

I purchased this game about a two weeks ago, and out of my collection, or other games that I have played, this is the best game out for the PS3 to date. Graphics are just mind blowing, the game play is great, it is a very addictive game, and that it just single player mode, log on to the internet, and the game just gets even better, well kind of starts out slow because you do not have anything unlocked, but as play online and you unlock more things the online play becomes more addictive then the single player was!!

WOW where to start, Graphics will blow your mind they are incredible. Online is soo much fun loads of upgrades and promotions. The best feature that they added was the ability to shoot through walls and other surfaces. this is incredible... you see someone go into a room get out your machine gun and spray the wall, its absolutely amazing. there is also a split screen multiplayer that is up to four people pitted against each other that is also very fun. (HIGHLY RECOMENDED YOU BUY THE GAME) PS3 RULES !!!!!!!!

Yes, the game is short on the single player side. But the multiplayer is definitely where it is at. If you felt the single player campaign was too short, go back and play it on a higher difficulty or play the arcade mode of it. There's always plenty to do with Call of Duty 4. Other than a few weapons/perks that are slightly out of balance, the game is dead on and tons of fun. Graphics are great, weapon and perk selection is abundant. It keeps you thinking on your feet. The must-buy PS3 game of the year.

As I said in the title this is my first FPS. I can't say enough about it though. I'm at work itching to get back and play some more. I've only had it for 2 days but its loads of fun so far. Single player is pretty decent and a great way to practice for mutiplayer online. Now since I started playing online I'm not sure If I'll ever play single player again, its that fun. I'd tell anyone interested in their first FPS to make it this one and if you're already into FPS's you most likely already have it.

-Unfortanutely, I bought COD4 when I didn't have high speed internet. After beating the game within a few days, I sold it. Now that I have DSL, I will be getting it again. -I have played online at a friend's house, and the online portion is simply a blast. I have no real arguments about COD4. -This game is a must have for all PS3 owners, especially if you are familiar with the Call of Duty series.

This game is the best FPS game of the year. The graphis are steller and the controls are top notch. I know that there are a lot of FPS games out there right now, but if you only buy one FPS game this year make it Call of Duty 4. You will not be dissapointed. This game has some of the most varid bunch of missions that I have ever played in a game. All around this this one of the best next gen games out there! The only thing that I maybe had a proplem with was the fact that it's to short.

This is by far the best game out for PS3 so far. The graphics are amazing and detailed. There are many options in the Classes menu that leave room for endless customizing so that it never gets old. The Prestige Mode ability also allows you to keep playing the game over and over again. It never gets old. The only bad part about this game is that you cant play online with more than one person on your PS3 like on Halo or other games. Definitely a must have for anyone with a PS3 though.

The graphical nature and the detail in the single player campaign make this a purchase just for those alone. However Infinity Ward makes a completely balanced online multiplayer where RPG elements are included such as ranking up to unlock more weapons and abilities. The online multiplayer makes this game worth the purchase I highly recommend it. I would have liked a bit longer on the single player, but the story was complete and really well done, so I was not as upset about it.

call of duty 4 is probably one of the best games to ever come out for any console. i think their main point was thew multiplayer which would go off the scoreboard if you ask me! the missions aren't that long, but they are pretty fun and interesting. their also an added arcade mode which would last for a pretty long time. i practically play this game every day and it never gets old. if you have a ps3, your first game choice should always be the number one first choice.

The game is incredible . offline multiplayer, online multi-player, by far one of the best call of duties, this game is what makes the next gen systems, xbox360 and the ps3 have taken this game and made it amazing. The graphics are perfect. There is a little lag when 20+ people on screen, online play.... is in another level of its own. Highly recommend this game to anyone who loves fps. don't use anything less than hdmi baby lol . this game is meant for high def.
