The campaign was good because of the story; however, it was short. Multiplayer is disappointing because of the maps and game mechanics. Do not expect the multiplayer to feel the same as Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019). Zombies (main/traditional zombie mode) is entertaining. At launch, Zombies only had one map to play. At the time of this review, Zombies has two maps. So far, both Zombie maps have been fantastic. The main easter eggs were fun to complete. The exclusive Playstation Zombie game mode called "Onslaught" is boring because you have to stay in certain areas of the multiplayer maps and defend yourself against the zombies. I am glad that the developers added Field of View, which has been a PC feature for many years. Ray tracing is a cool feature that I recommend enabling for the campaign unless you want a better frame rate. You can enable 120 Hz in the settings as long as you have a compatible monitor or TV.

Call of Duty is the game that got my into the gaming world a mere few months ago. It takes a much longer time (several hours) to download on the PS5 when initially starting but it’s worth the wait. The graphics are phenomenal and works seamlessly in multiplayer mode. You still have your fair share of campers in this game who always seem to use the sniper rifle. I am not sure how it is fun to play when you sit in a corner and someone happens to walk into your scopes view. On that note, the sniper rifle, once again, seems a little overpowering for what it is in Cold War. There’s a variety of great guns with attachments as you level up such as the Stoner 63, Ak47, XM4, M16, and Krig, to name a few of my favorites. This game works so much better on PS5 than it does on my husbands xBox Series X, to the point where he has almost traded it in for a PS5. (It freezes frequently on Xbox). They finally offer the ability to change your field of view on PS5 as well! Dialing in the FOV greatly improves your playability. Nice job, Activision. Just get the game and you are guaranteed to have fun with it!

This is the best game outside of Astro's Playworld to fully demonstrate the capabilities of the DualSense 5 controller. Every gun feels different on both the aim and fire triggers, with heavier guns requiring more effort to pull the trigger to aim. The graphics are as to be expected for next generation, especially with ray tracing turned on. The campaign was fun, but totaled around 5 hours of play time for me with side missions as well. The zombies mode is an absolute blast and it has many welcome elements that are making a return from the classic zombies' days of the original Black ops. However, on PS5 this game has given me some trouble. I tried for a few days to install the campaign and it gave me errors. Just today, after playing for a few hours, the game locked up completely and shut the PS5 off, requiring it to check storage. This happened twice, so I hung up the controller for the day. They have been pretty good about fixing known issues, so I assume an update will address this, along with split screen not working. Outside of the minor issues, hence the 4 star, the game is certainly worth the money.

Excellent albeit short campaign. Loved the story line and variety of missions. Graphics are second to none. Solid entry in the COD series. MP is your typical fast paced run and gun everyone expects from COD. War zone is same old war zone battle royale. Zombies is always a treat.

The story on this black ops titles is probably one of the best ones out. Feels like a game with a lot more depth than just shooting all over. Pretty well written so you’ll feel engaged with the campaign. Multiplayer is fire fast fun crazy and with a OLED TV running 60fps you’ll feel like you’re actually in combat. This is a great semi launch title for nextgen consoles so definitely pick this one up!

Great graphics and gameplay for PS5 Launch title. Multiplayer and zombies are really fun game modes, despite being more basic and simplistic than Modern Warfare. I'm enjoying it very much. Hopefully there are more downloadable levels in the future.

I’ve played a lot of Call Of Duty games but this one beats them all, the campaign mode is second to none because it goes beyond just doing regular missions you’ve done in the past. When you play with the game combined with the PS5 controller with haptic feedback and the 3D audio headset, you actually feel like your in the game completing missions whether it’s a sneaking missions or all out gunfight in the air with a helicopter or on the ground with assault weapon or machine gun it’s really really fun and immersive. The multiplayer is very fun too, you can customize and build your weapon like you want it to be and now there’s more perks to have multiple attachments to you weapon to make it more diverse as you see fit etc....not to mention more maps and modes added for the multiplayer experience.

So far so good. I'm in the middle of the campaign currently and I'm having a great time. The campaign is very fun and engaging. You either like playing the campaign or multiplayer. Or both. I always play through the campaign first before I go online. One irritating thing was downloading this game. Why would you separate the campaign into 3 parts to he downloaded?? This was so confusing & convoluted. It took entirely too long for this game to get copied onto the SSD. That was my only issue. Again campaign is great and based on the alpha & beta, the multiplayer will be solid and fun as well. It's COD go get it!

Great game for zombies, action packed and fun gameplay!!

Another great cod and looks really good. Multiplayer is fun but not enough maps. Takes up over 200gb if you want be able to play everything from main menu.

The campaign is great, Zombies keeps getting better, and multiplayer and Warzone are solid as always. Well worth the price of admission.

Seriously, I've played them all and idk how people don't enjoy this one. The speed (char weight and map size) is great, campaign is fire, zombies is unique and actually enjoyable again.. customization is fantastic too, I think people aren't realizing yet that it's just different but there are tons of choices. Best COD ever prob. Would give 10 stars if I could, this is the first game in a long time I've woken up at night to play before work.

This game is great! The story twist isn't as big as the original black ops but I love the twist in the campaign. I think people hate on cod due to game fatigue but this is one of the better cod games, I think modern warfare 2019 is a little better overall but this is not a bad substitute. I haven't played zombies at all but I'm sure it's great as well. If you like fps games this is a must buy. And if you have a ps5 it's even better with the haptic feedback from the triggers.

Had a few codes pop up when I first tried to play on PS5. The issue is when you first get the console you can play the game while other things are installing, and you must close other apps before opening this one. I think Sony has also already pushed out a patch to resolve this issue. The gameplay is amazing, the graphics are much better than they were in the Beta, and the haptic feedback and audio are so much better than the last gen experience! My favorite PS5 game for now!

Great graphics. Engaging story. Smooth gameplay and frame rate. The Zombies online game mode can be a bit buggy at times.

Campaign is great, everything else in multiplayer is unbalanced. Still fun but not as good as Modern Warfare 2019

I got this as a Christmas gift. I thought that COD lost a lot of fans as they went away from what made them so successful. The mulitplayer is a blast but I really enjoyed the campaign. It is set during the cold war and is packed with a lot of strategy and keeps you on your toes. Look to buy this on sale and get back into COD as I did! The graphics and sound is amazing and the detail to everything is second to none.

I only play campaign mode, it's good. Good graphic. Good story. And I can have some choices. Interesting.
