Campaign was so good. So sad when it over, I wanted more. I loved MW1 and MW2. Unfortunately not a fan over other ones. Black Ops1 was ok. Past and future CODs are boring and too fast.
The new MW is such a good time. Great story. Multiplayer is ok. I am definitely into current day shooters. Not past (boring weapons) or futuristic (hate booster jet packs and lasers).
I pretty much have up on COD games, but so happy this game was good. Definitely a MW game now gotta wait for several years for next one.

This is by far the best COD ever made. The campaign is intense and captivating. No more of that old crap that made online bad. The weapon customization is ON POINT. I can't get enough of this game. I've played every COD and this is the best. From the refined sounds and graphics, to better loadout system, and more realism. Silencers give increased range like they should, attachments make sense. They put their heart and soul into making this game. I love it. Best part is map packs are free!

Best CoD yet...great single & multi-player

The story and game play are exceptional. In campaign, single player mode, the weapons and tactics are more on the realistic side of things. I tend to like these vs. Advanced Warfare approach.
My favorite aspects vs. other CoD releases are:
- Long-distance sniping: One must account for windage and bullet drop to hit targets far out...very cool, especially if the wind changes direction
- Variety of night missions: Turn the lights out on the enemy and listen for footsteps to know where to hide and when to strike
- RC planes as improvised cruise missiles: Cheap and effective...very fun...and scary to have to defend against them
- Molotov cocktails: Old school, but fun and effective at deterring enemy advances
I've ventured into multi-player with this edition. I like it when playing a computer enemy, but am still getting up to speed on head-to-head combat...which could not be further from reality (think running fast and taking chances...reminds me of a tanker battle in the original Atari Combat game). I just need to get my head in the game realm.

2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has long been my favorite edition of the franchise. I bought Infinite Warfare in 2016 solely for the bundled Modern Warfare redux. Imagine my glee when I learned Infinity Ward and Activision teamed up once again to create an all-new, more modern Modern Warfare for Call of Duty! After playing the last few entries of futuristic warfare, I was thrilled to be back on the ground with current weaponry and familiar characters. Much of the attention of these games is focused on multiplayer, which is awesome; but I will stick to Campaign. The fictional campaign has been updated to more accurately reflect today's real-world conflicts. Although Russian occupation of Afghanistan ended years ago, Russia is used as a stand-in "bad guy" against the Al Qaeda-esque insurgents. The young woman leading the ragtag group of freedom fighters wants nothing to do with terrorism, making her fight for freedom sympathetic to the CIA working with her. One could argue that the writers and creators at Infinity Ward are pro-Al Qaeda, but it offers a different perspective of the locals fighting to protect their people.
Fans of the franchise will love this installment. Online players have a lot to enjoy; but (unlike Black Ops 4) campaign players will enjoy it as well.

I bought this game with lowered expectations, due to the latest C.O.D. games being not so great. I was pleasantly surprised at how fun this newest addition to the franchise. Online multiplayer can be a little frustrating when you first start, but the story mode is where this game really shines. A bit graphic, but the action really gets you caught up in the story that's being told. Not flawless, but I would definitely recommend checking it out if you like first-person shooters.

You can waste days playing this game online. There is a good variety of maps, weapons, gameplay and characterization. The maps are large. The campaign is good but short. The sound is excellent and the video is good. The only negative is that the PS server doesn't sufficiently support the workload during peak play times.

haven't played COD in years but with the whole coronavirus going on i decided to give it another shot since we'll be spending alot more time indoors. gives me something to do. so far so good. having fun, graphics are amazing, story/campaign is intense. d*mn near gave me ptsd and i've never even been in the military. they also have warzone game mode now which is like fortnight style drop in and play. haven't played that much but seems pretty cool. i'm sure itll get better too as they expand it. if you don't have the game you might as well buy it. what else are you going to do while we're locked up inside. this will keep me entertained for 30+ days for sure.

...graphics and exciting gameplay is what I’m promised , I usually just play the story but I heard the online matches are fun . I’ve had the game for about a week now...and I’ve racked up 0 hours of play - yes EGG ! The big zero ! Why you asked ? Perhaps because I’m an old guy who has adult responsibilities and commitments that outweigh personal fun me time ? No - this freakin game took 8 hours to upload to my ps4 - I checked my phone to see if my I lnternet was just slow but My speed was more than adequate, this was Sunday - the Only day I had to play ...now the whole family is in Christmas hustle mode , in laws coming to town etc... maybe I’ll get to play the game around March ...til then - the game cover looks cool ...oh btw - it won’t let you play the story mode until the game is fully downloaded- so make sure you invest time in binging watchmen or whatever show you need to catch up to .

Highly Recommended for all COD fans. Story Mode, Multiplayer, Warzone, Graphics, In Game Mechanics are all superb. The only downside is the amount of space needed for the game and the often updates that take up a chunk of space.

FEELS MUCH LIKE MW1, MW2, AND MW3

In my mind, I would never think that I could have ever played any Call of Duty games of which I could feel as if I was in the real battlefield like I used to feel it in MW1, MW2, and MW3 again.
Infinity Ward has not disappointed COD fans anymore. You're the best game developer. Activision should have realized and honored Infinity Ward years ago instead of leaving them apart after MW2.
COD had never had the same until this Modern Warfare came out last week, making its fan want to play it again.
Just imagine that I used to love MW1, MW2, and MW3 for which I spent tons of hours to play with those games, especially MW2 for which I spent more than 70 days in playing time to play through the years.
I hope Infinity Ward will make more large maps for Team Death Match and Ground War. So far, there are only two maps made for Ground War. We need more larger maps for Team Death Match and Ground War. Hopefully, Infinity Ward will release more larger maps for Team Death Match on their first expansion map release.
So far, I really like the light machine gun in PKM, which seems to be so dominant. With 150 rounds before it can be reloaded, you can shoot or spray it until someone kills you.
All in all, this game is rated 9/10. Infinity Ward will get 10/10 if they release more larger maps for Team Death Match on the their first upcoming launch for new expansion maps.

Great cross platform game

Though the cross platform is a pretty amazing feature and a big reason I bought this game, there are still some bugs with it I am sure they will be able to iron out. Where I will be in a lobby with friends on another system and we will join a game but when that game finishes and we go back to the lobby, either I myself get removed from the lobby or one or two of my friends do. Graphics and sound effects are really great! Annoying thing is as with the standard COD type games is; no strategy and lots of people sitting in corners and just waiting for you to come around so they can blast you! But still fun to hop into some games if you are just looking for some fast action and a shoot-em-up type game. Haven’t been able to try the campaign mode yet so I can’t review yet.

This game is very intense and very topical. With a terrorist attack in the West to start the game to battling in a failed state in the Middle East area; this game is a throwback to the first modern warfare that changed the series. I have more or less enjoyed all of the games in this series, but this one really brought back the feel of the first Modern Warfare. While it doesn't have a No Russian level that I have come to, taking down a terrorist cell and fighting a terrorist attack in a major western city really makes this a much more grittier version than in the past. Disclaimer: I have not tried Multiplayer yet and can't comment on it and BE ADVISED; 1 large day one patch 50 GB+ and this is not for young gamers at least under 15.

I really think it’s one of the best campaigns ever but I miss a little more of the Micheal bay bombastic set pieces. But by far the best story and very realistic. The violence was way more realistic and appropriate for war with avoid killing civilians by accident
I usually don’t like the multiplayer but it’s the best I have ever played and I love the 2v2 and small maps but not sure if I love the war map. The co op story driven multiplayer map seems broken with bots that come in swarms and unrelenting. Infinity ward took out the night maps temporarily prior to launch and I canT wait to try those since it was so fun in the campaign. Overall I love at least 15 maps. I will try spec ops as well cooperatively very soon.

Best CoD ever, with some flaws

First off - in my opinion, this is the best Duty that has been released. I'm experiencing ZERO lag on PS4, and when I shoot somebody, they are killed. There is no "running around a corner and getting shot 2 seconds later" crap that plagues the Black Ops series. The options and attachments are limitless, the graphics are the best ever, and the campaign is breathtaking.
However, some of the maps are the worst of any game I've ever played. Special Ops is completely broken and basically unplayable, and they are having multiple different bugs affecting challenges, rewards, and other various things.
They are constantly patching things and working on fixes - as they update their Reddit post constantly keeping you updated.

An awesome return to form for those sick of future base warfare this is a must buy. campaign mode actually deserves a play through this time around and actually unlocks things for multiplayer. Story has similar beats to the original MW but is a whole new experience in itself. Multiplayer has been Executed brilliantly the weapons all feel different and has weight to them. Progression is actually worthwhile as there are no more loot boxes just challenges to complete. Few gripes in current state is shotguns with range of rifles which I’m sure will be fixed thru patches. Second maps seem to favor camping a play style I despise. all in all a great game and a cod that feels like the cod we know from way back

The Cod series has been disappointing with there last few releases but with this game my love for COD has been restored. The story is very fun to play through and gives a few references to the original series. The multiplayer has something for everyone. small maps with fast paced action to massive maps with control points requiring strategy to win. The only thing I think could be a good addition would be bringing back zombies. They took it out because they wanted the game to be as realistic as possible but I think it would be amazing with the sound quality, graphics, and game play mechanics.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The story mode was a wonderful departure from the typical "Michael Bay" over the top action the rest of the series seems to love and is far more grounded in reality and the horrors of war. The multiplayer is fast-paced and has plenty of variety to keep you interested. Warzone is arguably the best mode this series has to offer and I find myself constantly returning for more. The Spec Ops mode is a bit lackluster and seems to be tacked on. This game is the best Call of Duty in years, but still has its flaws. I really like its new customization system aptly named "The Gunsmith". Skill-based matchmaking is heavily present, which means some games you will do fantastic, but the very next game you will be matched against players significantly better than you, which is frustrating.

While it may look and feel like what we are used to with Modern Warfare, this game is not the same one we played years ago. It's definitely evolved over time and there are plenty of new features and modes for even the most hardcore COD player. While some players feel the pace has slowed down, I haven't experienced that myself. It plays more like the Hardcore mode from MW4 and I love it. There are plenty of ways you can customize your load outs to your liking and plenty of modes and maps to keep you busy for a long time. The graphics are of course superb and the campaign mode as always has that cinematic feel that makes play through super fun. Voice acting is on par, and the mechanics are as smooth as ever. I definitely recommend this for any COD fan or noob just getting into the franchise. Go buy it and maybe I'll see you in my sites soon.
