    Great Game!!

WaW is a great game. The singleplayer campaign is solid and immersive, yet a little short. The characters are relatable and the sounds are amazing. New additions (flamethrower, bayonets, gore, etc) are amazingly fun. The game is difficult (especially on hardened or veteran) which adds a challenge. Co-op is solid, fun, and adds replay value. Zombie mode is well put-together and supplies nearly endless fun. I enjoy the swap back to WWII and like the weapons. The multiplayer feels too much like a copy (back 60 years) of CoD4. But the MP is still very fun and enjoyable. Other than that, the game is a great buy and worth the money.

A very good game in terms of execution and story telling. Variable difficulty levels accomodate the rookie to the veteran. Graphics may not be stellar but its the small details found elsewhere in shadowing, burning buildings, and foliage that make a very visually enjoyable game. Multiplayer, while not unique, is still fun especially with vehicles in the mix and a 4 player campaign co-op. On the downside, the single player campaign missions can be a little short but each one of them is packed action. Overall worth the buy.

can not compare to COD 4

I dont know about everyone else, but Im a little tired of WWII games. I like to be able to use weapons I either own in real life or use when I deploy. If thats the case for you as well the COD 4 is the better choice. This is still a great game. I think COD5 makers kind of rushed the making of this game. Don't get me wrong I love WWII games, but COD5 can not compare to Brothers in arms (all 3 games, 2 for PS2 and 1 for PS3) If you like WWII games I sugest Brothers in Arms before this one. I still give it an extremly high rating because it's a great game.

    Amazing Call of Duty game!

Don't listen to anybody who says this game sucks, most of the people who say that are little kids who don't appreciate a good WWII game. They say EVERYBODY uses the MP40 online (not true) the online is great, don't listen to what those little kids have to say. So many weapons, so many levels, Nzi Zombies is overrated (gets boring after a while). I would suggest getting this game, especially for the online. Keep in mind, however, that this game is so fun that it'll keep you addicted for a long time.

This is my 3rd COD game and after Modern Warfare I did not want to see another COD WW2 game, but now I take it back. This game has thus far gone beyond my initial thoughts of how the game would be. The flame thrower is a cool weapon that we have not had in the past, the game is challenging and the online play is phenominal! There are many different types of games to play on line that all players new and old can enjoy!! 2 Thumbs up, One of the best games this year! See you in the battlefield!!

This is a great game and one of the best in the COD series second to Call of Duty 4. I love the Campaign Co-Op. Me and my friend played for hours and had a great time playing. The language is verry intence and the music is intence too. Multy Player is AWESOME!...... the guns are ok and i wish the sniper rifles were better.... The maps are a whole lot bigger than those in COD4..... The Graphics actuilly look like real people and you feel like part of the game.....!

AFTER THE RECENT SUCCESS OF COD4 I THINK THE COD SERIES HAVE FOUND THEIR GROOVE. THIS GAME IS GONNA BE GREAT NO MATTER IF IT IS FUTURISTIC OR SET IN THE PAST. EITHER WAY THE GRAPHICS WILL BE GREAT AND SO WILL THE STORY LINE. IT WILL ALSO BE A GREAT CHANGE FOR ONLINE PLAY. IF THEY FOLLOW UP A MODERN WARFARE WITH ANOTHER MODERN WARFARE THEIR WILL BE NO DRASTIC CHANGES. THIS WILL BE A GREAT CHANGE OF PACE AND WILL BE A GREAT GAME!!

I would have prefered to have modern guns again but, it's still Call Of Duty. I've only played the online portion so far, and I'm impressed with the maps. The maps are full of detail and places to hide. I'm not wild about the guns so far but, I guess I'll get used to them. If you liked COD4, you might be a little dissapointed with this. The graphics are better and seeing a guys leg get blown off by a gernade is priceless.

I would have to say that this was honestly a let down in comparassin with COD Modern Warfare. It was Diffinitely fun although, like i said.. it is no COD4. I enjoyed this game because it was something new even though the weapons kind of sucked i enjoyed blowing people up with bouncing betty's, satchel charges and sticky grenades.. The graphics were awsome no doubt and i like WWII games they even included WWI as well. In MW they had a boring helicopter after you achieved a 7 kill streak that swormed around till they caught you outside and it would shoot you. but what if you are playing in a indoor place?? How the hell will the helicopter shoot you then? Well, COD W@W took care of that with replacing the helicopter with vicious German Shepards out on the attack for 60 sec. very funny seeing your dogs killing and biting the cr@p out of people lol.. In this game, the developers did a really good job to keep people from cheating by updating maps constantly and getting rid of the glitches.. unlike MW where you had those guys flying up in the air or the guys who would hide out underneath the map.. kind of defeats the purpose of playing these games when you dont stand a chance against cheaters.. l would recommend this game to you if you enjoy 1st person shooters because it is something you have not seen before.. CANT WAIT FOR MW2!!

Fun, but still a bit disappointed

There is little to say bad about WaW; the action is intense, exciting, unique, challenging and at times frightening. My first day playing this game was an aerobic exercise. Graphically, I am impressed - it appears a bit gritty and war-torn. The guerilla action is difficult to pinpoint, particularly in the Japanese story-line....a great realistic plus. I am a bit disappointed with the multiplayer though. The maps are larger and more accessible in directions. This limits the effect of campers, but leaves a user struggling to develop any one "life". There also seems to be problems with spawning too close to enemies...a big fun killer. My biggest problem though is that it isn't Modern Warfare. WaW is the next in the CoD series so you would expect to have more fun with the newest installment; however, I find myself pining for the CoD:MW instead of being fully immersed in WaW. And because of this, more than anything else, I am experiencing buyer's remorse.

Call Of Duty: World at War is one of the best games i've ever played in my life. I've bought it pretty much when it got released and I've been playing it ever since. I would definitely recommend buying this game especially if your into war games and if you are an experienced online shooter gamer.

When this game came out I was excited and had to pre-order it, and I was glad I did. This is an action pact game full of realist war scenes from World War II. The online play was a no brainier, there wasn't a time in which I stopped playing it. This is a must have if you like to play first person shooter or war games.

Where do i start? The PS3 is a great system, and the Call Of Duty games complement it. COD World at War is amazing. Like I said earlier once you pick this game up you can't put it down. COD World at War offers it all. A challanging online play, great maps for all players. Zombies, extremly fun.

    Good Game for the PS3

Pros: Awesome graphics and arsenal of weapons at your disposal. Storyline is pretty good. Cons: I hate how in a middle of a game, the connection drops because of bad online connectivity thanks to the Playstation Network. I believe Xbox Live is better when it comes to this. It'll take a while to shoot zombies without eating dinner before you find some people to play with. So it's better to always make friends and ask them to join you to shoot zombies right away instead of waiting for the apocalypse to arrive. Running is harder to use on the PS3 Dual Shock controllers than it is on Xbox controllers but the PS3 controllers have a smoother feel when shooting than Xbox. Overall, it's a must have especially if you like COD4 but only if you can withstand tanks and bouncing betty kills that most won't appreciate in the beginning.

This game just adds to the great things that Cod 4 did. The action in the campaign is very intense and challenging. Co-op is a blast to play online. Multiplayer is great with the perk system. Online play is almost always lag free. Any action fan should check this out.

Awesome game, zombie mode is exciting and I like the WW2 guns and theme however, you have to buy map packs to get all the zombie maps or all the multiplayer maps (3 map packs, each one has 4 or 5 multiplayer maps and 1 zombie) Also, in multiplayer hackers tend to be annoying and can ruin multiplayer sometimes. The good part, is that zombie mode is good, the guns are all world war two style and sound fine. Multiplayer is entertaining but like I said, hackers can ruin it sometimes. For children, this game does have swearing and can be somewhat scary but in settings you can turn off character voice specifically and still hear everything else. multiplayer for the most part doesn't scare children but zombies... are zombies. for the map packs I would suggest getting a gift card of maybe 20 dollars. (each is $10)
