I love this game. I like it better than quantum of solace, metal gear and everything i have played so far. Definately buy it. great graphics. I love that you can play cooperative and go through the missions together. From what i have discovered you have to beat the level on solo where it will be available on cooperative unless you play it all the way through on coop cause i don't think you can save it. You basically have to select the mission everytime you start it but its still great. great missions. you get a flame thrower in some levels and the sniper level i really liked. I also love the 4 player multiplayer. I don't play online at all and really appreciate you can have up to 4 people to your house and play the mulitplayer battles. Favorite Game right now on PS3. Specially its on sale i think now for 49.99

The release of COD Modern Warfare completly re-defined the entire FPS world, But COD World At War doesnt earn that ranking. World At War is essentialy Modern Warfare with different guns and new levels. There are no new features, no new controls, and the story cant stand up to its predosesor either. The graphics are still pretty good and its still fun but it doesnt capture the jaw dropping moments, or the edge of your seat intensity that Modern Warfare had. The online is really the only thing that is equal between the two. Youll spend a lot of hours playing your friends online and working for your next promotion. Overall this is a pretty good game but just a little too similar to COD 4.

Now, needless to say i wasnt always a call of duty fan but once i have seen and played call of duty my whole outlook on the call of duty series changed. i havent played 1,2,3 just the forth but ive seen the videos and they all look decent for my liking. call of duty 4 has to be the best this game, pretty much blows the medal of honor series out. alot of people are very judgemental with the call of duty world at war becuae of the year its in . think about it in the war back then they didnt have red dot, acog scopes they had what they had and some of them back then were good gunmen and snipers. if you cant be good with out those perks you are not a champ at cod you are considered as a noob who cant get a kill without it.. i cant wait ..11/11/08 here i come..yay!!!

I'm a girl and I don't necessarily like shooting games, but my dad always seems to buy me them. I started to play this game and it is actually really fun. I love the zombie mode! It is also really fun to play online, the graphics are amazing and it's very fun to play online against other people. It is very challenging but if you know how to play good, then you will certainly enjoy it!

Dont believe the last reivew that says hes played the demo because there isnt even a demo for ps3 only xbox 360 and I have played it and it is sweet. Ya everyone says it sucks because its WWll but its still as fun as COD4, at least online, for instance instead of clay mores there are these things that spin out of the ground and blow up in your face, you can drive things, the dogs come out and the graphics are more realistic like when you shoot a dead body blood comes out. Now COD4 is the best game ever but this is like a whole different game with the same idea and contrals. Over all you need to buy this game when it comes out and dont let anyone tell you different.

the game is the same format as cod4, but the game play and the new perks are amazing. for example....in team deathmatch you now have the option of riding in tanks with up to two people. the graphics are much more detailed, the bouncing betty;s are something crucial, the zombie mode after you beat the game is bannana's, the weapons...plus all of the other perks that come with the game. i think people need to let cod4 go just like any other game that has a sequel or different versions of the game that come out like the cod series has done. from cod 1-5, each has had its own tweak, i think some people are just stuck on the modern warfare genre.

This game is awsome ton of good weapons and maps to play at. Then after you beat the game you zombies which is way sweet addition to call of duty this game all around is awsome

ok i had call of duty 4 for a whole year. and after a year i was STILL playing it. i think this game would be great for those who didnt have cod4, i think cod4 might have spoiled us gamers a little bit because it was so good and we now expect every game to be just as good, and when its not we tend to not like it as much. so, i say if you don't have cod4 then buy it, or this game. but, if you already have cod4 then rent this game first. after 2 months, i dont play this game very much. i find myself playing little big planet instead of this, LOL!!!!

This game is great. I love the online play, and I really like how it went back to the WWII theme. The only problem I have with the game (it doesn't really bother me so much but it bothers my friends) is the amount of blood/gore in this game. If you don't like looking at bloody people, legless, armless..etc. then this is NOT the game for you. It is possibly the bloodiest game I've ever played, and to add on to the that, the good graphics just inhance the grossness. Heavy machiguns and powerfull snipers will take of limbs, if not destroy the body. Its a good game, but maybe tone down the gore next time....

This game is so much fun! the zombies feature is soo addicting and fun! Anyone whos into these kind of games, should really get this!

This game is the sickest game in the world. the online play is magnificent. there are so many new additions to the game. Just one step up for COD4.

This is by far one of the best games I have ever played. I used to be a big fan of the Medal of Honor series, but the new games seem so repetitive. So I decided to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. That game left me wanting more. I picked up World at War as soon as it came out. This game is fantastic and best of all, unlike Medal of Honor, the Call of Duty series are 2 player games. If you are a fan of war games or looking to pick one up, I highly recommend this game. If you like it, also check out Modern Warfare. You will not be disappointed.

this is one of the greatest ps3 games ever! it's got amazing graphics, gameplay, story lines and has the best thing ever, ZOMBIE survival!!!

I am a huge Modern Warfare fan and when I heard that they were going back to WWII I was not happy. I thought that WWII games had been beat to death and there was no way they could match COD4. I then heard that Infinity Ward would not be developing the project and I just lost all hope. I was WRONG. This is a great game! The game play and controls are still great like they were in COD4. The multi player maps are fantastic and the guns and new perks are great as well. This will keep me busy for a long time!

best ww2 game since medal of honor:frontline, cohesive, tight and dramatic gameplay, great for starters or veterans, its nice to be able to play at high difficulty levels offline, since these games tend to be too easy at times, put on veteran, good challenge so far...but not impossible or frustrating. The graphics make me speechless, obviously need the equipment, tv, stereo, etc....dont bother if you do not have hd tv.....like the similarity of modern warfare, good idea not to change controller aspects

i am not a big fan of first person shooter games. i have played halo 1 and 2 and thought they were kinda dumb. also wasnt to into resistance 2 either. something was lacking from both series for a NON FPS fanatic. i bought this game a week ago, and then bought call of duty 4 since everyone said it was better as well and to be hoenst both of them are fun to play. the graphics are amazing on both games and the weopons are fun and plenty. the online mode features an "experiance" type system use dto "level up" and unlock new weapons and "abilities/ perks". that makes the game excellent and keeps you busy. the downside for a new player is when you first start out online, you dont have the good weopons becuase you have not "leveled up" and unlocked them for use..so it is a little frustrating at times to be unloading on someone with a gun and get shot once and die when you just pumped 2 shot gun shells into them or 20 machine gun rounds. it is still fun and expected to have a little trouble starting out but like in real life it isnt really about skill but about who has the bigger guns in the end but it is still possible to level and get kills, just harder. it is still fun to play and makes the game a little more chanllenging and worth playing to level up and get access to better weopons. i am not a big fan of FPS games but this game and COD 4 is an exception. i would advise anyone who can play a FPS game and understand the controls to play the game at least once. in my opinion both were worth buying, i havent played them long enough to say 4 is better than 5 like some people say, to me they are about the same except one is modern and the other takes place during WW2. they are both great games and worth picking up.

Overall, this is for sure the best WWII FPS game out right now. The graphics may not seem as impressive as COD4, but the overall gameplay is much more realistic. Flamethrowers burn trees, tanks are reintroduced (but are more fair than in COD3), and, of course, there is Nacht der Untoten. The co-op campaign (online or splitscreen) really gives this game a unique touch. Anyone who was even considering trying this game, please...go for it!

This was one of the BEST COD games i EVER PLAYED. If you are a first person shooter this is the game for you. The only down side is the Co-op. They try to make it look good by your screen in one corner and the other person's/people's pic is on your screen. They waste a lot of space on the screen with the Co-op. But over all its and awesome game. I beat it in a day though, but i do that with all the Cod games so watever.

So far this game is fantastic.ive only played a lil bit of single player so i cant say much there but ive played the MP and its awsome!.no lag good gameplay.Only thing is graphics,deff not good as the other games out right now or COD4 but they are ok...i heard the single player only takes 2-3 hours too beat witch is kinda lame..but idk cus dats what i heard.. but this is a 5/5 for me a must buy for the online play :]]

I have always been a big fan of the call of duty series and have every call of duty game since finest hour and Call of Duty world at war is nothing but spectacular. Call of duty world at war is a MUST HAVE game for all people who enjoy first person shooters. Bottom line is go pick this game up from best buy or order it from their website now you will never play another 1st person shooter game in your life.
