I received the Calming Heat - Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap just in time for the colder weather. It is a pretty neat concept and well executed. The blanket/wrap is super soft and comfy and most of all keeps you warm, even without the heating function powered on. But it is so much better with the heating function turned on and as an added bonus the vibrating foot rest is supposed to further help relax your feet, ankles and joints. The blanket has a zipper which makes it easier to get your feet and legs in and out of it. The heating/vibrating base is also removable, so you can wash the blanket as frequently as needed. Overall, this will be used most frequently while working from home sitting at my computer desk. Technically you could use it in bed too, perhaps while sitting up and with your knees slightly bent, reading a book or your tablet. The wired remote control allows you to toggle between 3 heating and 3 vibration intensity settings. Heat will automatically shut off after 2-hours for your own good.

I didn't like the massaging feature

Sharper Image’s Massaging Heating Wrap is a unique approach to getting a heated foot massage while warming the bottom half of your body. Essentially, this is a weighted clay bead footrest at the bottom attached to a blanket. A zipper allows you to more easily slide into a blanket, akin to sliding a leg into a pair of jeans. Once you’ve slid yourself into this blanket and zipped it up, a controller attached to the blanket lets you choose heat and vibrate settings. Both heat and vibrate options are the same: Off, Low, Medium, High. Vibrate will run for up to 15 minutes while heating can be for up to 2 hours. The inside of the blanket is a Sherpa fabric lining while the outside is Velveteen, both comfortable feeling materials. This system is not battery powered; thus, you will need wall power for heat and vibrate to work. I had two issues with this Massaging Heating Wrap: o First, we felt that the name was misleading. Seeing the photo on the box helped clarify what to expect, but this wasn’t what I was thinking when I selected it. o Second and foremost, I really disliked the vibration sensation of the footrest. It felt more like a case of peripheral neuropathy than a soothing massage. I’m sure some purchasers might be enamored by how this massages your feet, but neither my wife nor I will be among them. The footrest does vibrate and heat, and the heat is generally enjoyable. It will probably be even more so once it turns cold outside. Still, I can’t get past how massaging feature felt. As such, I believe a 3-star rating is appropriate.

Overall I do like this massaging wrap. It has a very cozy sherpa lining that you could easily fall asleep in :-) It has a zipper on the side to make it easy to get into. Kind of like a half length sleeping bag. The remote control has three heat settings & three vibration settings. The heat is comfortable without getting overwhelmingly hot. The vibration is a mixed bag. The vibration is in the footpad. The intensity is not an issue. But vibrating is all it does. No pulsating motion or anything like that. So really, the vibration portion of this wrap really doesn't seem to do much for you. Still, I can see myself wrapping myself up in this on many cold evenings. The only other negative I have is that the power cord is way to short. Definitely need an extension cord. I would recommend it seeing as it is very cozy. But just don't expect miracles from the massage aspect.

My wife used this product. She is 5’2” and had no issue using it, the cord is long enough and the buttons are easy to understand. She really enjoyed the heating aspect and will be using it for that especially on colder upcoming days. As far as the massaging aspect she was not overly impressed, she said it felt more like a vibration on your feet then actually massaging them. Overall it is a good product and especially if you are getting it to keep warm.

The Calming Cozy is a a neat idea. It is a blanket that fully envelopes your lower body and features a heated massage pad at the bottom for your feet. The inside is lined with a Sherpa type material which is very warm and comfortable. The outside is a velveteen material which is also very soft and comfortable. They did a great job picking what are arguably the most important materials on this product. There is a power cord which must be plugged in to use the heat/massage functions. The cord is about 6 feet to the remote, and then another 4-5 feet to the massage pad. So in total the cord is just over 10 feet, but in practice, if you actually want to have the remote within reach, you only have about 6 feet of cord to work with, which isn't a whole lot if you plan on using this on the couch. You'll most likely need an extension cord if you're not using this fairly close to an outlet. So how does the heating/massage pad work? First of all, you have separate controls for heat and massage. Each can be low/medium/high. The massage is very weak in my opinion. Even at it's highest setting, it was only a very low vibration. I would much prefer something a lot stronger. However, I will say, that at the end of the 15 minute automatic cutoff, my feet were pleasantly surprised at how they were left feeling. I'd still prefer some stronger settings, but it wasn't as bad as I first thought. As for the heat, that works pretty well. It takes about 10 minutes to really feel anything, but once it gets going, it really does get toasty in there. After about 10 minutes of High heat, I had to turn it down to low because my feet were just getting sweaty at that point. This will be really nice for those cold winter nights. Last, I'll talk about getting in/out. It's not as straightforward as you would think. It's designed to go up above your waist, but if you want it to go that high, You kind of need to stand up and stand on the massage pad to get it above your waist. This doesn't quite feel right. I'm a big man, and I don't think I should be putting my full weight on that thing. You can try unzipping it and laying it out where you're going to sit down, and you might have better success, but this has it's challenges too. I ended up not sitting on it quite right, or having to shimmy it up my waist, etc. I'm sure with practice it will get easier. Getting out of course is a bit easier. You just unzip it and you can just get right up. Overall it's a nice product which does what it sets out to do. However, it can be awkward to use at times and I would like to see a few improvements to the design. In the end, I just don't think the "mermaid tail" design is really needed. You'd most likely be better off just using a regular heated blanket.

With a name like Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap you envision sitting by the fire on a cold winters day as you are cocooned in a warm blanket that heats you to your core and gently massages all your stress away. Well, you could, who am I to argue, some people still believe in Santa Claus. This was not the experience that my family had. We were looking forward to trying it out as we watched football taking turns getting a massage and warming up. Here is the reality, it does warm and massage your feet, but only your feet. No warmth whatsoever traversed up from our feet to our ankles, much less our legs. It has Clay bead Filling in the base that absorbs the soothing heat for additional comfort, that’s probably where all the heat went. The massage is a vibration massage that basically feels like your feet have fallen asleep and you’re trying to wake them up. The base of the Wrap where everything happens is a hard plastic that basically needs to be left on the ground and be used in a sitting position. This could have been better thought out with a soft base so you could curl up and actually enjoy it. We felt like we were back in school feet firmly placed on the floor, back straight and no slouching. If you are planning to use this to keep you warm this winter, DON’T. It would be better to go buy a pair of wool socks to keep your feet warm and have one of your kids give you a foot massage, I’m just saying.

This product by Sharper Image is a really, really "cool" idea for a product, even though it's intended purpose is to keep you warm. (See what I did there?). Right out of the box, the material of blanket itself is very, very comfortable and cozy, which is subjective to each person. I would imagine to the average person, this blanket would be comfortable. It is like a zip-up blanket, which can be wrapped around your feet - although, I am 5'8", so I do wish this blanket was a little bit lengthier. For myself, this blanket wrapped around my feet and can come close to my knees, but no more. If you are a taller person, or have above average size legs, this product may not be for you. Also from my experience thus far, it is not difficult to get in and out of the blanket, though I could imagine it being a little difficult for others. The heating itself is not too hot, though I imagine the product itself should be called a "Warming Wrap." As for the massaging feature, it is less massage and more of a vibrating blanket, which to me, is totally OK for the use of this product. However, I can see where the name and description of this product can be misleading. A nice feature is that the blanket portion can be separated and washed, and the control is very easy to use. Overall in a nutshell, this product is a vibrating feet and lower leg warming blanket that does a great job of warming your lower body. While the idea of the product is great in concept, the execution of how it was designed and made could be improved upon. Looking forward to seeing what Sharper Image may do for an improved version!

This is such a cozy blanket. Its a nice grey color and super soft. It was easy to put my feet inside and then zipper it up. The cable kinda got in the way because it needs to be plugged in before you put it on and sit comfortably. It comes with 3 levels of heat and 3 levels of Vibrations. The messaging part is ok, its just vibrations. I would of liked some time of rollers instead of just vibrations. It definitely gets nice and warm and with the winter coming up its a great blanket to have. The bottom massaging part is removable so you can wash it without any problem. Overall its a great blanket to keep you warm, cozy and relaxed.

The Calming Heat - Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap from Sharper Image isn't nearly what I had expected. I suppose I'm a sucker for Sharper Image branded products of the past... The overall construction seems good at the onset; the blanket construction is plush and comfortable; the inline (power cord) control unit is solid and is very ergonomically sized and the lap-length seems just about right. But that's where it all seems to simply stop being impressive. There are three levels of vibration and three levels of heat. One thing I'd like to try to make perfectly clear is that this product isn't anything remotely close to so many of other foot-based "massaging" products out there. It's a vibrating platform. Period. And not a very powerful one at that! For the price point and in consideration of the Sharper Image branding, we were expecting so much more from this product. For starters, the lowest vibration and heat settings are pretty much useless. On the max settings, both the vibration and heat are adequate but again - I wouldn't consider the "action" of this unit to provide any type of substantial "massaging" benefit. Switching over to the heat side of this thing, the amount of heating it does provide is comforting & that small amount of heat at the maximum setting most likely adds to the relaxation benefit of the Calming Heat - Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap...never getting overly "Hot"... yet it doesn't even come close to the amount of heat provided by, say, a dedicated, therapeutic heating pad. To be straight forward and honest, the Calming Heat - Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap feels like a product designed in haste. I wear a size 11 and a half shoe so I consider my feet to be about average. With that in mind, it boggles my mind why this product wasn't designed with more pronounced pressure points - or at the very least - higher pressure points of the existing vibration platform. The elevated points of contact that are there seems woefully undersized. I would have also preferred greater vibration output across all three levels and a bigger difference between each of the three settings. Some may find themselves wanting a bit more heat output across all three of those settings as well. The elastic band that is in position to hold one's feet more firmly against the vibrating platform is also pretty much useless as it doesn't facilitate any kind of snugging, downward force. Perhaps with much larger feet it would... but then that begs the question as to why it's not adjustable in the first place. All-in-all, I find the Calming Heat - Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap to be a product that barely makes it to "Average" ... so if I was able to, I would have given it only 2 and half stars. Knowing that different people have different sensitives, I'll go ahead and say I can recommend that a friend try the Calming Heat - Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap for themselves... but if they explicitly express an interest in a true foot comforting massage-based unit, I would tell them to look elsewhere. The frequency spectrum of the built-in vibration platform can be relaxing, it just doesn't feel like a "massage". A few simple design changes would go a long way to remedying those underwhelming aspects...

Calming Cozy Massaging Heating Wrap by Sharper Image is exactly what you would expect, , soft fleece blanket is cozy and warm, and that massaging footrest heats up and massages your feet. This can be controlled with a wired controller, and all I can say is that it does exactly what it says it’s supposed to. Keep you warm and cozy. Some people might really like this product, and others might think it’s a little gimmicky, all I can say is try it out for yourself.

The Blanket touts that it soothes legs along with gentle vibrations. First off, leave the blanket rolled up against the pad for 10-15 minutes. I made the mistake not to and never was warm. After retrying the second time it was adequate heat and gave a nice foot massage. The foot massage portion feels nice but not great. This is mainly to keep those legs warm and relaxed in a nice soft blanket. Quality wise you are pretty much restricted to its sewed area that doesn’t allow for stretching but being stationary. This product was well received after a long hard day out in the cold and rain. Would recommend on those merits.

Ive been working from home since the on-set of COVID and due to my wifes' "dis-organizational skills", I decided to make my office in the basement. I have a space heater underneath my desk to keep my feet warm, but i thought this would be a cool alternative. It's definitely warm and oddly comfortable since i have to keep my legs together. I really like the massaging feature and the three different settings and three different heat settings. The only negative thing i can say about this is the cord should be a little bit longer. Other than that, i like using it for work and when im relaxing on the couch.

I received this to try out and found it to be a nice heated blanket and foot massager. I was only able to use it for a short time before my wife decided it would be much nicer for her to use and I haven't touched it since! The heated function works very well, providing a warmth that is not too hot like some heating pads can get. The foot massager provides a quiet but useful level of vibration so that when you turn it off, you really notice that it was running but it is not loud or vibrates so much that it is distracting while watching TV or reading. I also like that it can be taken apart so that the blanket can be washed and then replaced on the vibrating foot area. I hope it lasts for a long time, my wife enjoys it every evening.

For a product that is intended to calm and warm its user, this one generally fails to meet expectations. The first issue is getting oneself into it. The long zipper creates an adequate opening, but the touted “Sherpa Lining” creates so much friction with any other fabric that it seems one must be mostly undressed or wearing slick clothing (such as outdoor base layers) to get one’s feet to the bottom. Once in, however, it is reasonably comfortable. Second, despite what a user might anticipate, the Calming Cozy covers only the lower half of one’s body. Obviously it depends on the user’s height, but for this 5’ 8” user, the cozy ends just above the waistline, leaving the upper torso and shoulders to fend for themselves against the cold. On the positive side, the 3 heat settings cover a modest but comfortable range and, for safety, turn themselves off after 2 hours of use such as when a user falls asleep. Nice touch. The vibration function also has 3 settings, and while a user can sense and hear the difference, the vibration is only to the bottom of the feet. This function also has an automatic shutoff of 15 minutes. The power cord is a good length and the controller fits comfortably in the hand and is both clear and easy to understand/use. In sum, a fair product that has the ability to offer some heat and comfort, but with notable limitations.

It does exactly what it says. Comfortable vibrations. I would like more space but overall it's perfectly fine. I do end up using multiple blankets to get the complete comfort all around but definitely does the job as shown on the box and description. I think it's a plus that it's timed to go off after 2 hours so it does keep you from overheating but it works best in a sitting position. It has a firm pad at the bottom where you place your feet on that so it would make it extremely awkward if you were to attempt to lay in bed. It is nice to come back to such a cozy warm blanket after having my home at a comfortable cool temperature especially with joints that ache and could use a little warmth.

The main reason to buy this is to be comfy in the cold months, or if someone is cold all the time, and its quite good at that. The heat settings are nice, and the fabric is super plush. The massage feature may seem like a "tacked on" after thought or an added marketing selling point. It isn't bad, just kinda vibrates.

My first impression of the Sharper Image Calming - Cozy Heating Wrap was that "my wife and kids are going to love this!" I did not personally try the unit as I am too large for it to do much good. The kids did like the unit but the wife had some issues with it: It's a pain to set up and get into, the cord is too short requiring an extension cord for others to trip over, the massager is weak and the quality not the greatest. The velour outer cover feels great but does not cover your whole body as a blanket would.
